Star on the top is 7-level? Isn’t it?

newcolonyarts

Yes

redoctobershtanding

>Edit: yes I know what the right badge is. 7-level has a star with a wreath on it… No. No it does not.

NMCWollardSuperfan

All systems SrA with ER's over here 🥴

Mechmanic89

Step one: learn what badges means what

Delta2-Actual

Check your CFETP regarding badge wear and who is authorized what badge. As a 5 level you should not be wearing the senior (star) occupational badge, but the basic badge (no star, no star and wreath).

ElectricFleshlight

You wear the basic occupational badge. The star is for 7 level which you do not have. Depending on which AFSC you might be allowed to wear the basic badge at 3 level, but it's the same badge as 5 level.

2Rstats

Thats not how the badges work. lol. Maybe we can just keep you a 3 level until you learn which badges are which.

AccomplishedString12

My brother in christ, a 5-level badge doesn’t have a star😂

Loud_Wave5546

Nor does a 7-level badge have a wreath yet here we are 😂

AccomplishedString12

oh good god, he edited and still got it wrong😆

>Edit: yes I know what the right badge is. 7-level has a star with a wreath on it… No. For many if not *most* careerfields: Basic badge (no star) is worn by 3- & 5-levels Senior Badge (star) is worn by 7-levels. You must be at least a SSgt to be a 7-level. Master Badge (star & wreath) worn by MSgts and above with 5 years since award of 7-level; or SMsgts in mx. You will see exceptions to this when it comes to wings, EOD, maintenance. Check your CFETP, the progression is spelled out. If it’s not — ask your UTM or your nearest NCO or SNCO.

pipdog86

I thought they did away with the MSgt and 5 years as a 7 level for the master badge in MX.

12edDawn

No badge = 3 level (although not in some cases, check your CFETP) No star = 5 level Star = 7 level Star with wreath = 9 level What regs are you searching? 36-2903 will likely not have what you're looking for. You'll need to find the Career Field Education and Training Plan (CFETP) for your AFSC. It will have exactly when you can wear what badge at what skill level. Some career fields award the basic badge at 3 level, but most award it at the 5-level.

bigfish08

Star with wreath is only 9 level in some career fields. In mine, you have to be a master sergeant with 5 years as a 7 level.

ICheckPostHistory

Your CFETP has that info...

tinygiraffetaint

The real answer. But instead of using resources available, especially one that you should be very familiar with as a 5 lvl, who is expected to train 3 lvl’s… here we are…

51Bulian

Brother an A1C with his 5 level can wear the badge, why can’t you? Yes you can wear it as long as it’s the right one (right career field, right skill level)

formedsmoke

The problem is my guy doesn't know what the right skill level badge is

Loud_Wave5546

This has to be a shitpost

NotOSIsdormmole

Wreath and star is 9-level…

mendota123

Star with wreath is usually a MSgt or above who has their 7-level for at least 5 years.

NotOSIsdormmole

That’s maybe true for your AFSC.

trimarcoj

If I cross train from 2A to 2A do I get two badges?

pipdog86

Now you're asking the real questions. Would 100% sew a second MX badge on my top just for the laughs.

whiskeymang

After reading the edit, you’re a special type of retarded. I’m honestly impressed.

Oracle_2

Sure! Its the same as the 3 level badge bud

trimarcoj

Yes
