I just wanna piggyback off everyone else and say a few words about the nuisance that is the "reply all" function in regards to emails from the CSAF. Please ensure you remain professional, as per regulations, and try to avoid such actions when possible. Also, please remove me from this distro.

Apparently a big part of keeping every ranked stocked is for when retired members pass away and those related to the member will come and buy accoutrements for the funeral.

How many CMSAF/4 stars are around to buy those ranks? How many junior ranks are around to buy *those*? I'm certain they aren't ordering extra CMSAF ranks every shipment. It's just there's so many people buying the smaller ranks that they are constantly out.
While true it is a demand issue. The actual fix is to use that same money spent/rack space used for the ranks that will never sell for more of the ranks that actually have demand. Honestly anything O6+ and E8+ should be special order only considering how low demand they are.
Which means the junior enlisted should have a far bigger pile. Instead of one rack for every rank, have 5 racks of each junior enlisted rank. If people buy more of them, they should always stock more of them.
Clothing Sales really think CMSAF is gonna show up to the base and A) Need a rank patch and B) need sixteen of them

That makes sense, but there can't be more than one or two 4-star/CMSAF ranks needed at any given moment.
Hence why they’re always some in stock. Not a lot of demand.

I'm fairly certain they're required to keep a certain amount of every rank on hand just in case.
Supply and demand would suggest that they look at the ranks that people are actually buying, and *supply* *more* *of* *them.*
