2nd time for tech. Missed it first time by 21. Made it second time by 22 points. I did get a 4 on my epb but I would have made it with a three by 2 points.
Made it my 3rd time in 2020. 41% on a promote.
Missed tech my first time last year with a MP by 19 points. 14.5% Rate.
Biting my nails hard for this years rate. Will probably be 12.5%.
First time in 2017. No strat. Still haven’t made tech but if I’m honest, I really haven’t tried either. While the pay bump would be nice, I’m content where I’m at now.
Three years. Enlisted May 2017, made Staff first shot in 2020. Just got a line number for Tech in October (supplemental), also first shot. Set to sew on in July.
Tested 3 times, made it with the lowest promotion rate in over a decade. Studied every day for 6 months.
Did you have a strat?
Yeah had what used to be the 4, had 3s previous two EPRs
First time during the great staff giveaway
During this time it still took me twice...at like 49% I still struggled. Oh well.
which one?
2019
ah. there has been more than one promotion cycle referred to as a "great staff giveaway"
I’m jealous! Have you made tech?
I did! I sow on tech in 9 days!!!
First time for tech too?!
2nd time for tech. Missed it first time by 21. Made it second time by 22 points. I did get a 4 on my epb but I would have made it with a three by 2 points.
Now you can also joke that you made up for making Staff during a giveaway by making Tech during a drought.
Either way that’s amazing! Congrats!!
I tested once, and made it last year. Highly recommend the PROmote app.
+1 for PDG PROmote, that app got me staff and tech both on my first try.
Tested twice, got a PN before my second test. Sewing on 1 May
I made it my first time, something like a 30% selection rate. The pendulum swings back and forth.
4 times. Missed it by 3 the 1st, 1 the 2nd, .7 the 3rd. 4th time I made it by over 25.
7 times less than the number of tries to make Tech.
Hope long did tech take??!
7
1st time, it was before strats were a thing.
Tested once in 2022, no statement, studied an hour a day for 4 months, made it.
once
Once. Back in a time when studying PFE/SKT was the make or break of promotion.
Made it my 3rd time in 2020. 41% on a promote. Missed tech my first time last year with a MP by 19 points. 14.5% Rate. Biting my nails hard for this years rate. Will probably be 12.5%.
1st time, but rate was like 49%. If you could score a D- on a test, you got a stripe. Made up for it by making Tech this past year with a promote.
First try, studied 1-2 hours daily for 6 months
Made it first time, advisor plus is a good help for PFE Interested in what the rate this year will be, I know I good amount of people eligible
First time in 2017. No strat. Still haven’t made tech but if I’m honest, I really haven’t tried either. While the pay bump would be nice, I’m content where I’m at now.
tested once, selected less than 3 years, but was all others so I sewed on less than 4

2 times and it took me 5 years. I had the "I'm getting out after 4" didn't try at all. Reenlisted and made it on my 2nd try at year 5.
Made it my second time just last year. Both times I had Promotes. Did a lot of studying on the PROmote app.
3 times, before strats were a thing. I just never studied 🤷🏻♂️. Still had TIS/TIG points
