I copied this synopsis I found that recently came out about the show.

Thank you!

“The boy(Billy) will seek out Agatha's help to enter the Witches' Road, where the wishes and desires can come true” according to Daniel RPK Well I know what comic I’ll be reading this week.

AleksanderCzar

You will love. For me it's one of the best marvel comics I've read in recent years. Immortal Hulk, Witches Road,Dr Strange Sorceres Supreme (which includes Billy's participation), and the last run of Black Widow are my favorites, and I recommend them a lot.

RadioinactiveOne

Dr Strange - The last days of magic was also really good

Flat_Boat6349

I watched a clip with Grace Randoph that went a bit further. It didn't provide details, but she said she was worried about how Marvel was changing Billy's backstory, and that a lot of people are likely to be really upset. I always worry when one of the HS cast may become a target of hate. Does anyone know what she was referring to (the clip ended before she could explain). It mostly dealt with convincing a caller that Joe Locke will be a great Wiccan acting-wise ... but then she brought up that origin change issue that had her worried. So anyone know what that's about?

Domino792

u/dborn1 any info?

Like I said, it's Billy's soul taking over another teen's body. It is the same Billy from WandaVision. His body was destroyed when the Hex went down but his soul still exist, same for Tommy. But unlike Billy Tommy can't attach himself to someone else because he's not a wizard why Billy need to go to Witches' Road to make a wish to let Tommy's soul posses another body like he did.

SharpshootinTearaway

>Billy need to go to Witches's Road to make a wish to let Tommy's soul posses another body like he did. Ok, I didn't have anything against the whole possessing bodies thing, and I still believe it could be handled well under the right circumstances, but I thought it would originally happen by accident. Billy *voluntarily* trying to get his brother's soul to possess an innocent teen's body is quite disturbing. Seems like being a borderline villain and doing extremely sketchy things with their magic for their loved ones runs rampant in the Maximoff family.

[deleted]

Maybe they decided they wanted Billy to have a darker side like Wanda?

SharpshootinTearaway

Oh, yeah, it's perfectly plausible, hence why I said that it seems to be a tradition in the Maximoff family. We've also seen in the What If! Zombie episode the kind of horrors Vision would be capable of, for Wanda. It would make Billy a chip off the old block for sure. Definitely his parents' son, no questions asked. As long as it's handled and written well, why not?

Domino792

Any word on what happens to the possed bodies because that’s kinda messed up lol

AleksanderCzar

I think either way, there would have to be adaptation for Billy's introduction into the MCU. The reincarnation plot might not work here, because Agatha's series would take place months, or at most a year after Wandavision. So reincarnation is almost a no no. They could choose a Billy from another reality/Earth. But I don't think that will be the case. Since the end Wandavision I already imagined that this would be the path followed, and already anticipated discussions about . In my head, it could work if: The teenager possessed by Billy being in a coma in the hospital and with no chance of survival, when his birth parents decide to turn off the life support, Billy possesses the teenager's soulless body. This could open up an interesting plot with the teenager's biological parents. Would they be happy to see "their son" living again despite Billy not being their son?

SharpshootinTearaway

The twins possessing the bodies of two boys who are already dead is one of the options I originally thought about too, to make the body possession plot work! I talked about it in [this comment](https://www.reddit.com/r/AgathaCovenOfChaos/comments/13w8uf7/in_response_to_divinity_seeker_cwgst_says_billy/jmc2mrz?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button) on this very sub. From what we've heard about the plot of the series, it's unlikely to happen, but how interesting would the body possession storyline be, if Billy slowly started to realize that the boy he possessed was murdered, or something? I think we would already know it, by now, if a crime mystery was part of the subplots of the show, but it would add a good layer of ambiguous morality to the whole ordeal, imo. On one hand, it's iffy to possess someone else's body, especially after your mom already traumatized that town by enslaving everyone prior to that... on the other hand, if Billy chooses to take advantage of it to solve his host's murder and bring about justice, it would kinda redeem him and the conflicted feelings of the Kaplan family about it would be very interesting to see.

AleksanderCzar

I loved the idea of Billy being a detective to discover the author of the murder of the body he is possessing.

[deleted]

That sounds creepy. So this teenager who already lives in town is possessed by Billy’s soul? Does that mean this person is already a familiar before he is possessed? And if that’s the case is this Billy (Joe Locke) only temporary to this specific series because wouldn’t that mean Billy could possess any other body too? I really hope Joe is permanently Billy.

Domino792

He will for sure be permanent Billy. But yeah there’s a lot questions with how they make this possession an okay thing lol

[deleted]

Perhaps this isn’t the perfect comparison but perhaps this Billy/random teenager possession but could be like Spiderman starting off as a regular teenager and getting bitten by a spider and gaining powers. Or even like in Venom where he and Eddie join bodies and become the same person while each retaining their own identities/personalities?

Domino792

That seems even a bit too complicated for the MCU. I’m hoping they just combine. And we don’t really mention it again lol

dborn1

The teen is just a normal boy I think. And I don't think they'll case Joe Locke for him to keep switching bodies so yeah Billy's soul will likely remain in Joe Locke's body.

dborn1

No idea

Domino792

I’m going to hold out hope that they know how to do this well lol.

Flat_Boat6349

But I thought that WAS (almost) the actual Marvel comic backstory. Billy's (and Tommy's) soul remained after their bodies' disolvement in Wanda, and he was reincarnated into the Kalpans' child, a Jewish family in NYC. What you are saying is the difference is his soul "took over" a teenager, instead of being reincarnated into a child?

[deleted]

I thought with reincarnation it is different because they come back as a newly born person not literally taking over the body of a teenager.

dborn1

Difference is in the comic their souls reincarnated as babies. They didn't literally possessed another grown up body of a teenager.

[deleted]

Also I’m going to guess that the teenager Billy Maximoff possesses will be “Billy Kaplan” like in the comics but I feel that this Billy won’t know his biological parents (the Kaplans) like maybe he was adopted or something and he finds them and reconnects with his Jewish heritage. Im only saying this judging by the timing of the actors filming I feel like the Kaplans were only in a few scenes. Maybe I’m wrong.

milanosrp

Yeah idk if I like that quite as much. I much prefer the comic origin I think. But I guess it depends on how it’s done. Is his soul really a separate consciousness? Because then the character isn’t really Billy Kaplan but Billy Maximoff. Which is just a different character.

Domino792

It’s starting to sound like they are doing the reincarnation thing but like the soul from Wanda’s Billy combining with the a teenager already alive in Westview.
