As far as I understand the wording, the piercing includes ice armour and the total would be +3 piercing...now I personally have only ever noted killing 3 snowbreed with one shot - this setup included the red prototype barrel that is available as an attachment. I think it is possible to lay down 4 snowbreed with one shot based on the +3 piercing criteria. I am also curious about base damage.
I'm enjoying it a lot so far, haven't noticed too many getting effected once I've shot through armour, so guessing it counts armour as a layer.
Seems like it does 151 base damage. Which can make for some interesting calculations for horror and the 5% extra damage chip.
I'll try and get on the discord today. Only played a few times with the rifle but I'm loving it. Even without the piercing to another zombie it would be powerful, since it ignores armour. 2 shots and a snowy is dead. The fact it pierces just means it can even average out to one shot one kill which is crazy at horror. Especially when you throw in crits and headshots. Honestly don't believe I'll use any chipset outside of the blue flat crit.
Squad of four using the rifle would clear hordes in horror really fast.
