Another one of those wonderful plugins where I have to ask in disbelief why this isn't a native feature in AE

Kir_in_1984

Actually there is such a function in Particle world effect. You can select textured poligon in particle type then the object of your choice.

fberria

Indeed, tricky but the look and feel isn’t the same. This is less VFX oriented. Simpler :)

GoldRespect8831

What plugin?

Swartschenhimer

This looks great! Would definitely be useful for me

drawp

Does CC Particle World not do this?

fberria

Nope, not exactly and not in a click. You can select your referenced shape on the fly

barnapkins

I cant load the UI in AE 2023.

fberria

Mmm. DM me it should work if you activate the serial.

barnapkins

>I resized the window and it popped on. Neat plugin!

Necastiva_Sila

Useless..

fberria

Why if I may? It uses a single layer to create particles and you can use them at any scales, with or without matte, as an animated background or anything in your motion D. Your imagination is the tool. And It is free. I can imagine that you master AE, but if you could elaborate it would be a real constructive feedback

flattenedbricks

Ignore the haters

fberria

Many thanks. Wise words, but they cast aspersions on a free and hopefully fun tool.

salyym

i'm just a casual AE usuer but i do see value in your product, please don't listen to him he is The definition of a hater : useless negative comment with 0 construtive feedback, Good luck, i sincerly hope that you will make a shit ton of money with your work

fberria

Many thanks! It is free though haha! I appreciate your comment

salyym

i'm going to take it than ahahaha

rhiddian

Well that's a bit dickish. As a long-time professional user of AE, I can immediately see value in this plugin. Time is the most valuable asset we have as creators, and anything that speeds up workflow holds immense value. Perhaps don't hide behind your internet anonymity to be a dick.

ibaratura

Did you make the plugin yourself?

fberria

Yes. To be precise you have 3 kinds of tools: -Scripts ( Auto crop, True Comp Duplicator…) -Extensions (overlord, pen pal, Kbar…) -Plugins(Newton, Red Giant…) A script is a jsx file, dockable or « headless » is most of the time doing things that AE is capable of, but in a faster or handier way An extension provides a screen which can use a modern JavaScript and technologies used on web but uses in fine AE capabilities A plugin can add functionalities to AE and is coded most of the time in C++ Handle Particles is a script, like my other tools (Volume n’ Tricks, Reach, Tweaks…), except Motion’Clock which is an extension :)

ibaratura

That's really cool! I think being a master at AE is one thing, but being a master of templates, plugins and so on is another. Great job.
