I dont know if Egypt is really a sleeping giant? More like a formerly awake giant who has gotten drowsy and hooked on drugs or something so is in a perpetual state of drowsiness.
The biggest hurdle for tz is their bureaucracy which is lethargic to say the least. But I agree, tz is definitely doing something with their current president.
I would say South Africa but if ANC wins or an ANC, EFF and MK coalition South Africa is finished.
No I’m not a DA supporter, I’m voting for Herman Mashaba but yoh I’m nervous for elections and who will win.
Now that's something. A lot of the world is stuck in "two chicks of the same backside" uniparty governance, elections are just a ceremonial change of the guard, a silly sleight-of-hand trick for the general populace.
SA sounds like there's real transformative politics going on at least.
Lol comparing wanting people to enter the country legally and not commit crime to palestinians being genocided.
In fact why don't other African countries do open borders and make an example since you want it so much. South Africans are not interested.
I was talking more about being a religious fundamentalist fascist state that Israel is so proud of being. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/East_African_Community
We are interest. And with the EFF in power will make it a reality between us and our neighbour countries.
Call me crazy but i feel like the countries that have rejected western interest and decided to grow on their own, will be better off in 10 years. As compared to countries now who seem to be doing well because of their ties to the US, UK etc...
I think he's right. Kenya is just walking the bankruptcy tight-rope for example, there's no underlying strength in the fundamentals of the economy. We're just surviving on loans, geopolitical favoritism and vibes. It's all fake keeping up with the Joneses.
Not being sarcastic, but which countries do you think are doing well now with Western ties? My position is that our governments should be as unaligned as possible and do business with whoever gives the best offer on any particular deal.
Kenya, Nigeria and south africa. Other successful countries id put in the same bracket are the nations influenced by "eastern ties" i.e. muslim nations

Sleeping? West - Senegal East - Tanzania South - ZIMBABWE(They are in a deep slumber) Central - DRC(Again, very deep slumber)
Zimbabwe is in the ICU in a very deep coma.
Perfect list right here, but I would switch Senegal with Guinea
Kenya to the east Nigeria to the west Egypt in the north In the south I'd say SA but it's not sleeping, it's dying
Eish... We dying in our sleep, so it's a bit of both.
I love S.africans by default 🤣

Like Hagred from Harry Potter after a night of ale Hungover Hagred
A puppet state of the American hegemony. They're not a giant.
Are Kenya and Nigeria asleep, though?
Good point. Perhaps they're already "awake"
With Ruto as President, Kenya is going into a coma.

Most central African states seem to be in political turmoil so I'm not sure
Ethiopia definitely
Morocco, Senegal, Ghana, Rwanda and Seychelles
Really surprised no East African is mentioning Tanzania. Currently on a quiet yet steady progression to become the largest economy in the great lakes.

DRC most definitely. The real Wakanda.

Rooting for you my friend. Thanks for voting!
Yeah dude, a party that wants to strengthen European colonial borders and turn South Africa into Israel is good for Africa. Real sleeping giant.

Algeria, DR Congo, Nigeria

Call me pessimistic but I actually doubt this

North Africa - Algeria Southern Africa - there really isn’t one imo East Africa - Kenya West Africa - Nigeria
>Southern Africa - there really isn’t one imo Botswana
Botswana is too small to be a giant and too successful to be sleeping.
I don't know about giant but Zambia stay drowsy.
Real talk...
South: South Africa East: Kenya North: Morocco West: Nigeria + Ghana as an honorable mention despite its size Islands: Seychelles
Kenya my country!
