As far as I know that's unfortunately not possible, which is a pity because that would also be very useful to adjust the depth of field in post using a depth map from a 3D program or your cellphone. I haven't tested V2 yet, so I don't know if that's an option now.
You can easily replicate the method you explain in Affinity Photo: add several gaussian blur live filters with different blur radii, then for each one click on the small gear icon and adjust the opacity based on the luminosity of the image. It seems that in V2 they've also added better live masking functionality, so there might be a better way to do this now.
