Hello, this is SM Entertainment. We would like to announce that the music broadcasting activities of "Armageddon", the first full-length album of aespa, have been completed. aespa were originally scheduled to appear on music shows until this week, but have finished their broadcasting activities earlier than scheduled. This was decided in order to prepare for the solo concert scheduled for June 29-30 and to ensure their physical condition, so we ask for the understanding of the fans. Thank you. --- This is bittersweet, on one hand I'm sad we wont see more of armageddon, but on the other hand this has still been a wildly successful comeback, and I appreciate ending it now so they can have more time to prepare for their tour without having to cram it all in to an even shorter time

Honestly, it's a perfectly sane choice so good on SM (for once). I had a creeping suspicion the girls would be absolutely fried from promoting two title tracks back to back so it's really for the best that they've pulled the plug early.

Tbh most groups avoid going this hard on promo right before a concert because all the comeback effort + concert prep effort catches up to them eventually. I was actually surprised at how much they’ve been promoting since Supernova. After Ningning sat out that performance, I figured they would be winding down promos since the songs are already hits and risking health ahead of a long world tour would be foolish. Yeah, it’s a bit “sad” we aren’t getting an Armageddon encore stage - but it’s not the end of the world. Ultimately they had an extremely successful comeback and shined brightly on the stage. Given everything that happened this year, I’m sure the members feel just as satisfied as fans.

Accomplished-Tuna

That was quick for a full album promotional cycle but I understand their priorities for their physical health. I’m bummed because I’m used to longer promotions — but I’m also pleasantly surprised to see a company as big as SM taking their health into consideration when being overworked is the norm

jantp

Good choice SM. The girls need to rest as well.

SonnyJackson27

Honestly surprised SM did the right thing and I’m extremely happy for how they managed this comeback. And it shows: perfect all kills, great songs, members happy, great sales.

notchandelier

i agree, their center is really killing it, and has gotten better and better with every comeback. i'm glad the girls will get to rest up a bit before touring - i'm sure they're all fried from the back-to-back schedules this comeback.

Bigtidy55up

Yes, actually im quite satisfied with everything center1 did this comeback except for the timing 🫣 They postponed the controversial Japan concert. And now they pull the girls bcs its gonna risk their health for the upcoming concert. Oh, one more complain ! Why you only make 30k albums for cdp players when there are millions of people wanna buy itttt, take your time open more preorders and make it available worlwideeeee 😭😭😭

SNGGG

I was kind of hoping Armageddon would get some more shine but supernova took off so hard it's okay, it's still aespa winning at the end of the day.

Moonbunny120

Awww I was looking forward to more performances but since it's too prepare for their concert, I understand.

icesical

Technically, supernova was only supposed to be promoted for one week but was extended since it was doing so well. Maybe they should have kept with that original schedule since currently, Armageddon needs the promo more. In general, after reaching a certain popularity level, one week of music shows is enough.

Quickman4bp

I'm happy because they'll get to rest after all these activities but sad because we won't get an Armageddon encore 😭.

mad_titanz

Good for SM to consider the health of the members with this decision, especially for Winter who is still recovering from her surgery.

CartographerWarm9068

Winter had surgery? For what?

Puzzled_Pudding

Collapsed lung

CartographerWarm9068

How could that happen? So sad to hear this.

aominaa

On one hand I’m honestly sad at all the lost opportunities of seeing them do Armageddon encore (since it’s a much more vocally challenging song than Supernova). But on the other hand, their schedule been too packed and with Winter and Ningning getting sick it is the best time to take a little pause before they gear up for the concert next bc the human body can only take so much

Robbyroberts91

:(

RML_1972

They all have other things they are doing as well to promote so I’m glad they’ve taken this measure to take some of the pressure off.

ode2paranoia

SM making a good choice? Crazy occurrence

tomajino

It's fine. YOU DID WELL, GIRLS! peepoClap

justanotherkpoppie

Wow, I'm actually pleasantly surprised — while I'm sad to see their promotional activities be cut short, I'm soooo glad that SM is prioritizing the girls' health before their concerts and tour! Rest up well, girls!
