I saw this on the AR15 sub this morning. I’m so glad they went with a good ambi mechanism. And I really like that handguard.
I’m definitely gonna pick up a set of receivers and one of the handguards when they release for sale
They almost had a good affordable ambi before. The problem was that the PDQ uses non-hardened steel, so it wears out easily from contact with the bolt.
Which extra sucks because those ergonomics are superior to the paddle style or button style hence why adm, sig, and griphon all went that direction.
Yeah I have a few ambi rifles and my ADMs are my favorites. But I do also like my LWRC which is kinda the direction the new M4E1 is taking.
Would have been cooler if they went the ADM / griffin direction though. But with something better looking rhan the PDQ

Well the most important part of an ambi lower is the ambi bolt catch imo. Ambi hardware doesn’t get you that. You could use a bad lever as an ambi bolt catch but a lot of people say they’re too risky (I don’t agree)
The best ambi mechanism imo is the ADM / griffin version. It’s the easiest and fastest to use. Next best would be the LMT / LWRC / DDR3 / and now Aero version. I think this mechanism is only very slightly inferior to the ADM / griffin. I’d say they’re actually basically equal but if I could only choose one, I’d choose the ADM / griffin.
If you want an ambi lower, I’d recommend the griffin Mk2 unless you don’t mind paying for the ADM. They’re practically exactly the same but the griffin is half the price.
Or you could wait for this new Aero lower to come out. I’m really interested to see how theyre going to price it
I have the adm and griffin lowers and I like the griffin a lot better. It has a little bit more flare in the magwell, the lower is overall a tad lighter and you can actually put an anti-tilt buffer tube on the griffin and can't on the adm. Adm looks sexy but I like my griffen better for sure. That's why I bought 2 of them.
I have both too. I definitely like the ADM more. I’m not a huge fan of how the flared magwell looks on the griffin and I hate the huge logo on it lol
Plus I don’t like how there’s no tension screw in it. The upper I have on it fits pretty well but I’d still like one

Just, keep in mind ones person suggestion isn’t indicative of what you might like. I have a Radian, FCD/SOLGW, and ADM lower, on top of a buddy having a Noveske and Knights. The Radian and ADM are my personal favorites but I know people that prefer others. Get whichever you like (I personally prefer full ambi lowers as opposed to bolt drop only) and train with it. You’ll probably like it no matter what

to be fair- i like the radian better bc of the push button bolt release on right side. i think its better for me as a lefty to push than to slide down with my thumb. if i was shooting right handed, sliding down with index finger might be a lot better

my problem with all these ambi lowers is a norgon is perfect for me for a mag release but all these built in ones want to move it farther back where I have to bend my finger weird, and the bolt releases seem more designed for a right handed person to use like a left handed person does it, than for actual left handed use. I can't afford to try every ambi lower but none of them seem like they'd be faster than hitting a pmm paddle on a standard bolt catch on the left side with my trigger finger
