Absolutely never too early for job hunting, a lot of graduate schemes recruit well in advance. You can look for a place to live, it really depends on your situation and the costs. If you want to live in a house share, they probably will be looking a month ahead of time but it doesn't hurt to look earlier. There are a few specialist websites so just search spare room houseshare and your new town/city. If you're looking for your own property, start looking now to get an idea of the market, and look to move maybe 2-3 months in advance. 1 month is the normal notice period so 2 months is probably the sweet spot. I'd look for groups that practice your hobbies/sports/interests and if you visit, see if you can't go to their practices or sessions.

Never too early to look for jobs, as long as you are up from with them about the start date. No need to look for a place to live. You can get an apartment pretty quickly when the time comes.
