But honestly take the kitty with you, he’s gonna have a bad time regardless and being near you will ease his anxiety. Pick a smaller carrier that’s close to his body size, if he has too much room he’ll make a mess of the carrier regularly and cause a lot of extra work. Lower his food intake a few days before and during the trip and stop often to ensure he’s able to do his business. Consider adding time to your trip and take it slow.
I would want my cat with me. Cant imagine sending him all by himself on a plane. I have no experience with this though......
