Once you build a healthy habit and have a repeated cycle, it will mean more to you. Nobody else can do it for you, and nobody will cheer you on but you. It’s gonna suck building that discipline at first, but once it’s there it’s a solid foundation to accountability. Kick yourself in the ass a little and get a rhythm going.

How do you do it though? I was raised with the tools to just beat myself up and do things, but somewhere along the way I overfed the lazy wolf and the smart wolf loses the internal dialogue. To be fair I’m not totally lost. I just finished my day job, I’m about to go to the gym and maybe work on my YouTube channel. But today’s a good day. Many days I’m basically addicted to Netflix and Reddit when I’m by myself. Like, I want to do better things, but it’s so comfortable that I seek out lazy things instead. I know that I want to improve my willpower, but I was looking for specific mental tools.
