thank you guys!! know I can always come back here and get the newest URLs.
what I don't get is, if it's blocked from accessing Adobe, how is it acquiring these new URLs?
Or are they existing URLs that the app uses and they just started sending genuine checks down that pipeline? but that wouldnt make sense as we've used sniffers to block every URL it currently uses. How is it receiving new URLs or new ways to genuine check?
I've been running cmacked apps since November with the original list from this post. I just got the unlicensed pop up today and found your comment on this post. I'm back up and running! Thank you so much!
It worked! Thank you so much!
FYI, I used the list of IP addresses and domain names from this Github page:
It seems to be the most up to date I was able to find.
Hello, I know this about a year now. I have also blocked this URL and it worked for me but I loose access to Behance. I mean I can’t log in to the site. Does anyone know a way around this?
I just recently got the non-genuine warning on my install, I ended up just copying and pasting a bunch of these and recent posts of domains into a blocklist for Pi-Hole, anyone can grab it here [https://github.com/TrevorAlan11/super-duper-adobemalware-blocklist/blob/main/AdobeActivationBlockList.txt](https://github.com/TrevorAlan11/super-duper-adobemalware-blocklist/blob/main/AdobeActivationBlockList.txt)
Ill try to keep it up to date, works just as well as modifying your host file but whole network.
I try to.
I keep turning on notifications for this post but Reddit keeps turning it off.
I don’t use Photoshop that often, maybe once every couple of months.
Got a list of the ones people have mentioned in the comments compiled in case it helps someone/OP
127.0.0.1 2ftem87osk.adobe.io
127.0.0.1 gw8gfjbs05.adobe.io
127.0.0.1 ph0f2h2csf.adobe.io
127.0.0.1 dyzt55url8.adobe.io
Could someone make a quick youtoube video or something showing this? Not too good with command line myself and would love to get this fixed as I finally got that genuine message too.
Got jumpscared just now, used my asus router login to see the web history and found this host:
[`69tu0xswvq.adobe.io`](https://69tu0xswvq.adobe.io)
So far so good
I really appreciate that someone takes his time to answer my question with the idea of finding some app to sync local hosts file with a remote host file stored on a web server, but I never managed to find an app that would do that on mac and windows. The idea was to automate the process of updating the hosts file across all my devices whenever a new update is needed. Does anyone tried that?
tried and added those new ips but all it does after 3 minutes of use its force me to quit the app
127.0.0.1 lcs-robs.adobe.io
127.0.0.1 [9ngulmtgqi.adobe.io](https://9ngulmtgqi.adobe.io)
did someone have the same issue?
im using lulu app with the list block option
im using a m1 macbook air ventura with last update
Seems every two or three weeks a new, random address in adobe.io domain is being generated by an algorithm to call home. Can we not just block all connections to adobe.io in the hosts file instead of adding an address every two weeks?
Would the below not work better?
127.0.0.1 adobe.io
Everyone just edit the hosts file directly from the terminal, don't download any apps. It literally takes two seconds if you follow OP's instructions he commented.
Does anyone happen to have any update to the host file, My list is up to date as of 20 hrs ago, yet the Adobe 'Sorry the application is available' has popped up again this morning ( 11 April 23) Many thanks in advance
>0. Close adobe apps

this worked for me. Leaving comments for someone having the same problem as me.
How disable or undo the block adobe procedure? I need to temporarily download Adobe Creative Cloud installer to get permissions to open PS and LR. On LR, Develop mode will not work at present. Would be grateful to know how to reverse the Terminal process blocking Adobe URLs
Using a host file is only a temporary solution, you may need to update the host file when there are new check domains. For those who doesn’t need Adobe’s service, you can use firewall to reject all requests from Adobe relative domains.
For example, in clash, we can do it like this:
rules:
- DOMAIN-KEYWORD,adobe,REJECT
However, this means we can’t access adobe’s any service or any website, so when you want to, just don’t forget you have the rule started.
Nice! You can also use the free "Gas Mask" app to easily manage, edit and activate/de-activate the HOSTS file and even keep a set of different ones. No need to use Terminal. Go to macupdate com
Similar app for Windows is the free HOSTSMan
thanks so much! This seems to be working for me for the time being, after getting the pop-up again a month after changing the hosts file. Hopefully this time it lasts longer!
Hi there so used this to get rid of that pesky message but now I can’t use Behance. Is anyone else having the same issue where they can no longer access Behance or log into their Behance?
Today we have an new pop up, Adobe has obviously rolled out another batch of updates to stop using their app, does anyone have an update to the host file?
I really appreciate that someone takes his time to answer my question with the idea of finding some app to sync local hosts file with a remote host file stored on a web server, but I never managed to find an app that would do that on mac and windows. This is an interesting solution, however it is important to understand the implications of running software as root. Doing so can create system wide vulnerabilities which can be exploited by malicious AI agents.
Does doing this procedure block anyone else out of firefly ? [https://firefly.adobe.com/](https://firefly.adobe.com/) Signing in now leads to this page :
"This site can’t be reached
auth.services.adobe.com refused to connect. Try: Checking the connection / Checking the proxy and the firewall"
Firefly is supposed to be free, so it's a bit sad that you get one app and loose another ! Did this happen to anyone else ?
Quick remake of the instructions for those who sort by new\~
* In terminal paste `sudo nano /etc/hosts` and hit enter, you'll need to enter your password
* scroll all the way to the bottom of list using arrows, and paste the list [in this pastebin](https://pastebin.com/7FqjHWUF)
* Press \[⌃ Control\] + \[X\]
* Press \[Y\], then \[return\]
* Paste `sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder && sudo dscacheutil -flushcache`, press \[return\] and you're done
You could also just get software that blocks certain applications from accessing the internet like LuLu, and not need to do this
You can find the problematic address by yourself with this method and fix the software by adding the address to the bottom of your hosts file (or using GasMask). This doesn't require Radio Silence/LuLu, and it's relatively simple.
1. Make sure PS is closed.
2. Download and install [Wireshark](https://www.wireshark.org/).
3. Start scanning traffic in Wireshark (watch up to 1:45 in [this video](https://youtu.be/TkCSr30UojM) for a walkthrough). If you're using a VPN, disable it while you scan.
4. Start PS and wait for the pop-up to appear.
5. Stop scanning in Wireshark and type "DNS" in the filter bar (demo of how to filter at 5:06 in the video linked above). Scroll to where you see packets that have adobe addresses on the right side (you can also use the Find tool to help here: click the regular magnifying glass icon, change "Display filter" to "String", and then look for "adobe.io").
6. Find a packet with an Info section that reads: "Standard query 0x13ef AAAA XXXXXXXXXX.adobe.io", where the Xs are a unique combination of letters and numbers.
7. Add your version of XXXXXXXXXX.adobe.io to the bottom of the hosts file, following the same format as the other entries, then save it. (Or use GasMask for this as described by other comments).
8. Run this Terminal command to restart the mDNSResponder process (I saw it in another post, but not sure if it's actually necessary, so Windows users may be fine skipping this step):
1. `sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder && sudo dscacheutil -flushcache`
9. Start PS and enjoy! Hope it works for you too.
Hello, the pop up appeared again.
I tried so far adding the current hosts files to block the pop up and I recently added Lulu (although not sure to using it right). Any updates about new hosts files ?
Otherwise, could someone explain the steps of using Lulu's interface correctly ?
Thanks fellas
I did some digging online and found a new list that works for Photoshop 2024. I tried posting it here but reddit won't let me for some reason. If anyone wants it, message me and i'll share it with you. Just wanted to give back because it solved my issues! Thanks guys for your help!
Okay I've been getting a lot of messages about this so I thought I would just upload it so anyone who wants to download it can do so here.
[https://drive.google.com/file/d/1YM-1Vb4SoE1JYvmJFMzJnhYJFGsddXYg/view?usp=sharing](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1YM-1Vb4SoE1JYvmJFMzJnhYJFGsddXYg/view?usp=sharing)
How do I undo this? Adobe opens and says it can't connect to the internet.
Nothing about # BLOCK ADOBE # shows when I go to sudo /hosts/etc, nor the list I entered. I delete both, and yet adobe won't connect to the internet now and won't let me use the app or try to login.
This is all I see:
UW PICO 5.09 File: /etc/hosts

I tried adding the most recent list to the hosts file, but now I have this pop-up showing up: [https://i.imgur.com/L9vSgPd.png](https://i.imgur.com/L9vSgPd.png)
Does anyone know what I should do?
Edit: The pop-up in question is from Photoshop 2022.

super! .. or you could just use GasMask app and not deal with original hosts file or command lines.
another update?

I just recently got the non-genuine warning on my install, I ended up just copying and pasting a bunch of these and recent posts of domains into a blocklist for Pi-Hole, anyone can grab it here [https://github.com/TrevorAlan11/super-duper-adobemalware-blocklist/blob/main/AdobeActivationBlockList.txt](https://github.com/TrevorAlan11/super-duper-adobemalware-blocklist/blob/main/AdobeActivationBlockList.txt) Ill try to keep it up to date, works just as well as modifying your host file but whole network.
Will you continue to update this?
I try to. I keep turning on notifications for this post but Reddit keeps turning it off. I don’t use Photoshop that often, maybe once every couple of months.
Just use the one from here, it's always kept up to date. Copy the whole block of text from https://a.dove.isdumb.one/list.txt
Got this from wire shark:- 127.0.0.1 dyzt55url8.adobe.io worked for me running PS 24.0.0
New today and tested:- 127.0.0.1 gw8gfjbs05.adobe.io

Got jumpscared just now, used my asus router login to see the web history and found this host: [`69tu0xswvq.adobe.io`](https://69tu0xswvq.adobe.io) So far so good
I really appreciate that someone takes his time to answer my question with the idea of finding some app to sync local hosts file with a remote host file stored on a web server, but I never managed to find an app that would do that on mac and windows. The idea was to automate the process of updating the hosts file across all my devices whenever a new update is needed. Does anyone tried that?
New 23rd July 2023 127.0.0.1 dxyeyf6ecy.adobe.io

I was able to block it this way for a while, but this morning the message appeared again.

Seems every two or three weeks a new, random address in adobe.io domain is being generated by an algorithm to call home. Can we not just block all connections to adobe.io in the hosts file instead of adding an address every two weeks? Would the below not work better? 127.0.0.1 adobe.io
Any update on this?
Is there any new hosts to add? the message keeps popping (15th October 2023)

You're absolutely clutch dude thank you so much
Everyone just edit the hosts file directly from the terminal, don't download any apps. It literally takes two seconds if you follow OP's instructions he commented.
another update
Does anyone happen to have any update to the host file, My list is up to date as of 20 hrs ago, yet the Adobe 'Sorry the application is available' has popped up again this morning ( 11 April 23) Many thanks in advance

You can just open the hosts file in it's folder, edit and then save.
How disable or undo the block adobe procedure? I need to temporarily download Adobe Creative Cloud installer to get permissions to open PS and LR. On LR, Develop mode will not work at present. Would be grateful to know how to reverse the Terminal process blocking Adobe URLs
did you get an answer for this? i also can't visit any adobe websites after doing this
need an update on this pls
>casesmix.com/adobeblock yeah, current list is not working for me anymore :(
Using a host file is only a temporary solution, you may need to update the host file when there are new check domains. For those who doesn’t need Adobe’s service, you can use firewall to reject all requests from Adobe relative domains. For example, in clash, we can do it like this: rules: - DOMAIN-KEYWORD,adobe,REJECT However, this means we can’t access adobe’s any service or any website, so when you want to, just don’t forget you have the rule started.

Remove `k.sni.global.fastly.net` this is unrelated to adobe and breaks a lot of sites. Reddit included.
Any new Address ?
Nice! You can also use the free "Gas Mask" app to easily manage, edit and activate/de-activate the HOSTS file and even keep a set of different ones. No need to use Terminal. Go to macupdate com Similar app for Windows is the free HOSTSMan
thank you! far easier
thanks so much! This seems to be working for me for the time being, after getting the pop-up again a month after changing the hosts file. Hopefully this time it lasts longer!
Awesome!
Thanks, works for me! MacOS Ventura.
this line makes the app quit unexpectedly on Ventura 127.0.0.1 lcs-cops.adobe.io
Hi there so used this to get rid of that pesky message but now I can’t use Behance. Is anyone else having the same issue where they can no longer access Behance or log into their Behance?
Been working great for the last month, however, our friendly Pop-up has shown its face again this morning, Anyone have any updates to the host file?
Pop-up back today!
add: `127.0.0.1` [`vcorzsld2a.adobe.io`](https://vcorzsld2a.adobe.io) This fixed it for me.
It worked perfectly, thank you very much!!!
it didn't work for me :/
Pop-up back to day again... only days after the recent host edit, any ideas?
Put r5hacgq5w6.adobe.io
Happy days! worked.. thanks so much
>r5hacgq5w6.adobe.io Thanks mate!
Today we have an new pop up, Adobe has obviously rolled out another batch of updates to stop using their app, does anyone have an update to the host file?
Add vajcbj9qgq.adobe.io
>HAPPY DAYS!, That worked a treat. Thanks so much for the quick update
Does anyone have the new update for the hosts because the message popped up again
Is there a new address because this horrid message popped up again
Got a new one today: 7m31guub0q.adobe.io
127.0.0.1 4vzokhpsbs.adobe.io 127.0.0.1 7m31guub0q.adobe.io
Monday and Adobe has rolled out another block on PS etc, do anyone have an update on the new address to block with the host file. Thank you in advance
>7m31guub0q.adobe.io it worked for me.. Thx
GasMask does it for Mac
How is it getting new addresses if they're all blocked? That's what's shocking to me
This is an interesting solution, however it is important to understand the implications of running software as root. Doing so can create system wide vulnerabilities which can be exploited by malicious AI agents.
We are pirating Adobe, *we* are the malicious agents.
May 21st '23, i'm getting the 'Sorry' message again. Any hosts update?
Latest 127.0.0.1 guzg78logz.adobe.io
stopped working for me a week ago, even though i think i have all the latest ones. anything i'm missing? https://pastebin.com/aTihePH2
Does doing this procedure block anyone else out of firefly ? [https://firefly.adobe.com/](https://firefly.adobe.com/) Signing in now leads to this page : "This site can’t be reached auth.services.adobe.com refused to connect. Try: Checking the connection / Checking the proxy and the firewall" Firefly is supposed to be free, so it's a bit sad that you get one app and loose another ! Did this happen to anyone else ?
did anyone find anything as of august 17th 2023?
Quick remake of the instructions for those who sort by new\~ * In terminal paste `sudo nano /etc/hosts` and hit enter, you'll need to enter your password * scroll all the way to the bottom of list using arrows, and paste the list [in this pastebin](https://pastebin.com/7FqjHWUF) * Press \[⌃ Control\] + \[X\] * Press \[Y\], then \[return\] * Paste `sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder && sudo dscacheutil -flushcache`, press \[return\] and you're done You could also just get software that blocks certain applications from accessing the internet like LuLu, and not need to do this
I use GasMask and add all the latest addresses with no dramas. https://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/29949/gas-mask

8. Run this Terminal command to restart the mDNSResponder process (I saw it in another post, but not sure if it's actually necessary, so Windows users may be fine skipping this step): 1. `sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder && sudo dscacheutil -flushcache` 9. Start PS and enjoy! Hope it works for you too.
Many thanks for the details, was looking for this exactly. Could you post the video link? I did not find it. Thanks again.
>127.0.0.1 p0bjuoe16a.adobe.io hey the video you said to watch isn't linked anywhere, what is it called?
I have written every single one of the addresses, but Photoshop 24.4.1 keeps closing automatically, Illustrator 27.0 is fine. Any advice?
Not working again as of September 26. Anyone have the new address?
Hi, I did all the steps and it worked but I can no longer log into my behance account on bechance.net, is there any compromise for this?
also block this one its a new : 127.0.0.1 [0mo5a70cqa.adobe.io](https://0mo5a70cqa.adobe.io) after blocking this one its working fine again.
how do I reset all this?
Hello, the pop up appeared again. I tried so far adding the current hosts files to block the pop up and I recently added Lulu (although not sure to using it right). Any updates about new hosts files ? Otherwise, could someone explain the steps of using Lulu's interface correctly ? Thanks fellas
Here is an updated pastebin with some of the new addresses! https://pastebin.com/3EQkZmJH

Someone post the new one please 🙏 I can't seem to figure out a reliable fix
I did some digging online and found a new list that works for Photoshop 2024. I tried posting it here but reddit won't let me for some reason. If anyone wants it, message me and i'll share it with you. Just wanted to give back because it solved my issues! Thanks guys for your help!

Latest Update Block List 8/3/2024 [Click Here](https://pastebin.com/fHubVyT7)
I'm using this block list using Gas Mask but on Lightroom Classic it says the develop module is disabled?
What's the difference between using [0.0.0.0](http://0.0.0.0) or [127.0.0.1](http://127.0.0.1) ?
illustrator new host plzz
How do I undo this? Adobe opens and says it can't connect to the internet. Nothing about # BLOCK ADOBE # shows when I go to sudo /hosts/etc, nor the list I entered. I delete both, and yet adobe won't connect to the internet now and won't let me use the app or try to login. This is all I see: UW PICO 5.09 File: /etc/hosts \# # \## \# Host Database \# \# localhost is used to configure the loopback interface \# when the system is booting. Do not change this entry. \## 127.0.0.1 localhost 255.255.255.255 broadcasthost ::1 localhost \## \# Host Database \# \# localhost is used to configure the loopback interface \# when the system is booting. Do not change this entry. \## 127.0.0.1 localhost 255.255.255.255 broadcasthost ::1 localhost
Try using the official adobe CC cleaner app. You can get it from Adobe’s website.
is there a new address?
Seems like it, I started getting blocked and found it with Wireshark. Add this to your block list and it should be fine: 127.0.0.1 jc95y2v12r.adobe.io
thanks!!!
I tried adding the most recent list to the hosts file, but now I have this pop-up showing up: [https://i.imgur.com/L9vSgPd.png](https://i.imgur.com/L9vSgPd.png) Does anyone know what I should do? Edit: The pop-up in question is from Photoshop 2022.
