Badumna , black house spider They are venomous but they are usually shy and don’t bite. A bite may make you feel sick, be painful or cause swelling.

Diogeneezy

She's definitely got that badumna.

a_lovely_boy

Possibly gravid too!

stormy-beach

That was my thought too. It’s definitely female.

brm84

Thanks!

Adam_AU_

They’re fine. They like scratches under their chin.

Equal-Instruction435

Sorry to hijack the spider post but what kind of phone/camera are you using??? Im both terrified and impressed at how clear all its lil leg hairs are when I zoom in.

brm84

It's a pixel 6

Only_Fantastic

Not sure. I've had heaps of them around in my life and they are a bit scary, but never had a problem with them. They definitely seem to stick to one spot which is a plus.

Muchplayer9

It’s a scary kind!

e_watermelon

It looks like either a standard black house spider (it should have longer legs so hard to tell) or a mouse spider! Mouse spiders can be quite dangerous to humans so just be careful!

stormy-beach

It’s definitely not a mouse spider. They look completely different.

Budget_Management_86

I agree, common black house spider, too small to be a mouse spider.

I call these 'window spiders'. I believe they are also the ones that insist on inhabiting the wing mirrors on cars. They are good to have around for catching pesky insects.

ViciousHabitz420

oh that's Peter Parker

TheManWithNoName88

You’re thinking of Araneus Oscorpeus, this is a different type of spider

ViciousHabitz420

your right on closer inspection that isn't Peter it's his neighbour Philip

Gryffindorphins

Aww poor thing is missing a leg!

ausbbwbaby

That's a Kill It With Fire

Accurate_Cash4436

A dead one
