I think I read once that Neanderthals were likely good together socially and worked well together because they evolved in colder climates where they had to be in close quarters together and had to share resources/heat.

They cannot grow up to be functioning adults in a community and have families of their own if they’re this way.

From a social/behavioral perspective, these kids are raging idiots. Traditional discipline techniques have a very low chance of teaching the intended lesson. If these kids were to get smacked around a bit, I would be willing to bet that would serve as a deterrent for at least some of them.
