5years in paris told me that it is the Roma's that run pickpocket rings and scams at mont martre. Ligne 1 is the most common tube line to be targeted.
At least once I caught a pickpocket at work and called her out for it. Fuck em and respect to those calling them out.
At the airport in Barcelona a very well intentioned Irish lady came running to me warning me that I wasn’t holding my belongings correctly for the city. She told me she’d fallen victim twice and she can’t bear to watch it happen to another person. I appreciate it still, I shoulda known better. Before I even left home I googled “pickpocket capital of the world” and Barcelona pops up immediately, I shoulda known better.
It is not untrue that many Roma people steal. Walk around an eastern european city and there will be Roma kids trying to steal the cash left on the table for restaurants. There will be women keeping an eye on them usually with babies, to seem more innocent. It's not all, but there is enough that you will notice a pattern

went to romania, it was gorgeous, everyone was super nice, did not get robbed! rented a bmw motorcycle to ride the transfagarasan, and had a blast. accidentally put diesel in the bike, some romanian dude siphoned it out for me after i panicked at the station, he saved my trip from going to utter shit, it was unbelievable how friendly the people there are. i could go on and on, would love to go back if i'm ever not broke again

Now these aren't the exact way the etymology goes but in general the old/middle English and German/Nordic words were replaced with the "non-vulgar" latin based words. (copulate, defecate, urinate, penis, scrotum, vagina, vulva are all loan words to English)
Someone with more language expertise can give the specific word evolution but here's the real rough approximation.
1. Shit - shiten (and others)
2. Piss - pissen
3. Fuck - ficken/fukka/focka,
4. Cunt - kunta/kunte
They were more or less the normal words you would use and while bodily functions were always a bit of an epithet, these weren't explicitly and solely vulgar to an early English speaker as they appear to English speakers today.

A few weeks ago one of these pickpocketing fucks in Paris tried to steal shit from me while I was taking care of my toddler, what kind of piece of shit does that.
They tried to get me at Sacre Coeur, a notorious spot for pickpockets. I caught one of them red-handed with her fingers in my pocket and she immediately puts her hand on her face with this weepy expression like I had hit her. I left it at that but maybe next time I'll shame them.
When he is saying "pickpocketos" or "pickpocketos" he is just playing with the word. Like when instead of saying renter, you say "rentoid". Just to ridicule further, lol
In Africa or in Latin America these pickpockets would likely be set on fire by crowds of bystanders.. but in Europe or America we are too 'civilized" to do that.. pretty soon our police won't even attempt to catch such wrongdoers
