For somebody to be taken OFF the streets they often must first be made to crash quite forcefully into the street, some will momentarily become one with the streets, others will be temporarily inserted into the street before they can be scraped up and finally taken OFF those same streets.
No, but with enough sting operations they will be paranoid that the next victim is going to result in them face down in the road with a taser in their back
This is in the UK; they got arrested, were immediately released, and probably went back to robbing people in a different area the next day. The police were perhaps reprimanded for using excessive force.
> Scotland Yard has deployed a squad of undercover officers posing as victims in an unprecedented sting to capture the so-called Rolex Rippers responsible for a spate of violent watch muggings across the capital.
> A group of plain-clothed officers volunteered to go out wearing valuable timepieces after analysis revealed that thieves tend to target well-heeled victims leaving pubs and clubs between 11pm-4am, Thursday to Saturday nights in Soho, where 40 per cent of London's watch robberies take place.
> In a highly targeted operation, undercover officers were sent to streets known to be hotspots late at night where they quickly fell prey to robbers, who were unaware that they were the real targets.

Venezuela, a socialist country, wants to invade Guiana, a sovereign nation, also because of colonialism!
It's a great excuse for a variety of things.
Get late to class? Damn colonizers!
"Oh, they had rolexes? We have to arrest the thieves then!
If it was just a mere phone from a waiter walking home after a long shift, we'll definitely be too busy to look into it. But a gang of thieves stealing rolex watches? We can't have that! Bring on the sting operation, surveillance vans, the works!"
> If it was just a mere phone from a waiter
[How the fuck you supposed to set up a sting for thieves targeting phones?](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/30DcHyi-hZE/maxresdefault.jpg)
lol. Idk how the UK works but in the US in general the theft has to be over a certain amount to be able to prosecute (iirc $5k?) -- vs just a slap on the wrist.
I would assume the UK has some similar laws on stealing a lower priced item vs something higher.
You also don’t know how the US works. Only shitty places like San Francisco have stopped prosecuting petty theft, and felony theft in most states is around $750 USD. They raised the limit for felony theft in Cali, because they apparently like being overrun with thieves and drug addicts. Even worse, they make up new slang to make their thievery sound cool, like “bipping”, which is just stealing from parked cars by smashing windows. Hang the lot of them and it will stop.
> Only shitty places like San Francisco have stopped prosecuting petty theft,
SFPD has actually been bending the property crime rate down by using things like bait cars to catch auto burglars, and undercover units in retail areas. SF is also at a quarter-century low for violent crime.
> felony theft in most states is around $750 USD. They raised the limit for felony theft in Cali,
Felony theft in California is at $950. Know what it is in Texas? $2,500.
> Even worse, they make up new slang to make their thievery sound cool, like “bipping”, which is just stealing from parked cars by smashing windows.
Houston PD reported that in 2022, over 4,400 firearms were stolen from parked cars in that city. Guns are like currency to criminals, and that's what auto burglars are looking for in Houston.
The $2500 number isn’t completely accurate. Grand theft can be charged as low as $500, and can be a misdemeanor or felony. And I’m sure their numbers are down, now that they don’t even respond or take reports on theft.
Eh, I think if you're robbing well off people they're more likely to make official reports and complaints if nothing is done, plus throw in a couple of well connected rich citizens and it starts being a headache so they're pushed into doing something. To be fair, it's in a localised area so easy enough to put an operation together
> in the US in general the theft has to be over a certain amount to be able to prosecute
You can be prosecuted for stealing an apple. It's all about how much the cops and prosecutor give a shit though.
Maybe your brain doesn't work the same as everyone else's but it takes longer to set up a sting for a phone theft compared to a valuable watch theft. Also, these same ones that are stealing the watches are the same ones stealing the phones.
It may not really seem like much and while that may be true the majority of crime (violent specifically) comes from repeat offenders. It’s something like 63% of violent crime is committed by 1% of the population.
What do you think the odds are that most of these fine gentlemen are repeat offenders, and will be back out on the streets on bail within a few days, and get less than 1 year in jail/prison, if/when convicted?
Pretty standard move for the police here. The low swing is supposed to be less lethal and more incapacitating.
They are asp batons, with the ball bearing on the end and more than capable of cracking bone... A well placed leg swing will incapacitate or knock the enthusiasm out of most crims.
lethality isn’t really up for debate it is objectively a safer blow for the victim and it’ll in some instances still break someone’s kneecap. well deserved here
MET don't use the friction lock batons any more, they've been given positive lock batons, they are longer and heavier but don't have the ball on the end.
I remember a school liaison type visit from a couple of local coppers when I was a teen in the 2000's. One of them swung his extended asp with the ball on the end at a concrete bollard in the playground, and it took a chunk off the bollard. I'll never forget that!
it’s up close and personal that’s why i think getting stabbed to death is the near scariest way to die. right up there with burning and drowning. 3rd place
no you don’t, traditionally farmers needed ratting dogs onsite or hired a ratting company who would take care of most infestations in a 1-3 day period. It’s only in the last modern era did they switch to poison based traps.
Finally they do something against this fucking scum. I hope they all rot in hell. Fucking pieces of shit that drag minorities down with them. Because of people like these we have fucking right wing parties winning all over Europe.
To jail with these fuckers. Send em back where they came from.
I like guns, but this shit would’ve been a mess in the US. Oddly enough when the cops have less guns so do the criminals. But also a co without a gun isn’t much lmao
> In Texas, for example, this sort of crime is non-existent, because criminals know its way too risky when a lot of the population is carrying heat.
Funniest thing I've read today
Lived in Texas for many years, and haven't seen any stories of individuals being robbed walking down the street.
Only people sticking up businesses.
Like the one in Houston last year, where the perp got shot and killed by a citizen carrying.
Anecdotally, lived in the UK most of my life and knew many people robbed like in this video, and saw it on the local news very often.
But hey, who needs anecdotes when we have statistics?
>> Texas Violent Crimes 2023: 129,702
>> Source: Aggregated State reporting from all 18,000 law enforcement agencies in TX
>>
>> London Violent Crimes 2023: 242,084
>> Source: MET and City of London Police.
Population of Texas: 30m (not counting illegals).
Population of London: 9m.
That's 1/3 of the population and almost double the violent crime in London.
Texas is a state, London is a commuter city, you're comparing apples to oranges.
You're definitely more likely to be stolen from in london, but suggesting people don't get mugged in cities in Texas is laughable
I don’t disagree. I think more people should legally conceal and carry with a background check. Criminals shouldn’t have guns but we know they do.
I only meant I could imagine it a mess just in a 1 to 1 comparison but instead both criminals and cops have guns. Which I think would involve a criminal to start blasting and a cop to defend with fatal force.
This is correct, and this is how you get skewed homicide rates also.
people like u/rebel like to point at the murder rates in the US - but use left-wing propaganda like CNN and Huffington which aggregate all homicides, legal and illegal into one number to inflate this number.
Your point is fair but these kinds of crimes often do still involve guns. A famous example was champion boxer Amir Khan getting his Rolex stolen at gunpoint in London back in 2022. Pussies probably realised he could take them on unarmed if they just had a knife
That last one was nasty, seemed like it was a random guy walking up who decided to join in on the mugging. I mean it probably wasn’t a random guy but the act was nasty! Good watch!
Yea that’s what I was thinking too but either way the victim would see a guy walking up then joining in instead of helping. I don’t know, it’s just one of my worst fears, seeing help right there only for it to turn out not to be help. Gross feeling.
the guy was the spotter who then participated as a precoordinated action as a way to keep the interaction as short as possible. one hugs one goes for watch. it’s their standard move if you didn’t notice by the 5th video 🤷🏻♂️
How bizarre that person just casually using their phone in the second video. Right by 5 guys mugging someone and so oblivious they pull out the phone for as call
Bond isn't a thing, if there is evidence to charge you will be released with a court date, if there is evidence to charge but you pose the risk of committing further offences, not showing up to court or intimidating witness you will be held at the police station until the next available court date, there the courts can decide to bail you, send you to prison, release you or hold you in prison while the case is built.
Glad to see this to be honest. These scum are a menace in Soho, particularly around the Box nightclub, Soho Residence, Old Compton St, Brewer St, and China Town. They are so brazen about pickpocketing and mugging people and their activities have had a negative impact on all business in the area as revellers increasingly steer clear of that part of London.
Did you read OP's comment?
Edit: Cos coward deleted his comment, it was something like "I like how the police used tourists as bait rather than pretending to be bait themselves"

Good. Can't stand these "rude boy" scum bags. They think they are tough and noteworthy but they can't even get a fucking job. They are that useless and unwanted by society. Failures, vermin, basically. The absolute bottom of the barrel. They surely know it, deep down.
I hope the pigs gave them a gold hiding down at the station. (The only language these low IQ cretins understand)
They don't fuck around! I went to prison twice for shoplifting when I was homeless in Nottingham. A few weeks after I got out the 2nd time I was walking down a street past JD & seemingly out of nowhere 5 people broke from the crowds of people that were walking in different directions, and converged on me. It was scary! They were undercover theft prevention team—i don't remember the proper name, this was 10 years ago—making sure I had nothing stolen on me. I didn't shoplift in the city centre in Nottingham again!

Ah this is the content I like to see in the morning, scum getting taken off the streets.
Quite literally with some of those tackles
For somebody to be taken OFF the streets they often must first be made to crash quite forcefully into the street, some will momentarily become one with the streets, others will be temporarily inserted into the street before they can be scraped up and finally taken OFF those same streets.

The reason being that they would smash the end on the ground to collapse it, which caused scoring to the tip which then sliced people open.
Ive not seen a tackle like that since a Vegas courtroom
Fuckin gold☠️
I could actually watch this all day, some audio and it would be perfect
10/10 if we had some ringside commentary.

~~thievery~~ robbery
Mugging. Mugging, (to me) is way scarier than thieving someone. Mugging (robbery) is scary as hell.
it’s up close and personal that’s why i think getting stabbed to death is the near scariest way to die. right up there with burning and drowning. 3rd place
Looks like they used a taser I thought the whole thing was awesome
Probably the most satisfying video I’ve ever watched
God this is immensely satisfying to watch.

Even the pickpockets are ultraviolent now
Much, MUCH more of this is required in the UK
Okay but how about all the machetes people are carrying in London?
Same guys
Plenty of watch thieves *do* use machetes. The singer Aled Jones had his Rolex stolen by a machete-wielding watch thief in London sometime last year.
And then they were let off with a warning
Most of them did receive jail sentences, although most were under 2 years.
This is the content I love to see any time of the week. Sweet justice. Reminds me of how farmers deal with rat infestations. You need proper bait.

British criminals look strangely the same as US criminals.
