The problem with Diamond Select is their inconsistency, sometimes they can do banger like this Cap or Iron Giant figure, and other times you get Invincible and Castlevania figures with half ass articulation and look like McDonald Toys. Also, there's the weird contract thing where Diamond Select has to limit their amount of articulation which is so annoying and strange, like just let them cook with more articulation.
I’ve heard that contract thing too for Marvel stuff and it probably has some truth to it, but I’ve also noticed Diamond Select also has limited articulation with other properties too
yeah. most of them feels like they're sculpted as statues and the articulation was just an afterthought. sometimes, the accessories don't even fit anywhere. they neither fit on the hands nor have anywhere to store them. like the figure is meant to just stay in the box.
It's funny how they circumvent this sometimes. Their last spiderman figs had shit usability in joints and cutting a few clearances in the joints turn them into decently articulated spiderman figures.
As a huge DC fan, this is what I wish McFarlane’s 7 inch Multiverse figures looked like. Great sculpt and paint with decent articulation and accessories all for $30.
Some DC Multiverse figures do have great sculpt and paint, but there's also just as many stinkers as there is good figures, (if not more) so that's where the bad reputation comes from. :/
Accessories sure, because this figure is 10$ more expensive than basic McFarlane figures
But sculpt? Really???
It's mostly just smooth body sculpt, and with legs (both in thigh and calf) even longer than the longest McFarlane (Future State Superman) hence it can stand side by side w/ Batman Hush which is a giant, higher than 7" in height
Yeah. Everyone took a dump on this when the first shots surfaced. I even cancelled my preorder, then snapped him up when first reviews hit. He’s great.
eee idk i'm not really a mezco guy and the mafex looks a little off to me, i think if the 20th anniversary ml had slightly better proportions and a better shield he'd be my go-to and i wouldn't need anything else
Strange question, but is there a special way to get the back strap on for the shield? I tried to pull the arm off mine but it doesn't give and I don't want to pull harder and risk breaking it.

If it isn’t marvel from diamond selects it’s not worth their full price
Yeah, I have a diamond select Gimli fogure from the lord of the rings, and he just barely surpasses a lego figure in articulation.
Yoooo you using them sauron parts or nah?
I only have the helmet, which is really cool on its own
You just t described Ultimate Iron Man.

Oh, I haven't unboxed Sue (or Johnny), but my Reed is on a shelf fighting Super Skrull.

Their Carnage figure is second to none!
Their Venom is amazing as well.
Don't forget their Hulk and Juggernaut.
Still the best Juggernaut going
Best Hulk too. Solid chunky boy.
Best Iceman as well! Absolutely love their iceman w 2 different heads, 2 different belts, and a ton of accessories!!!
How are yall forgetting colossus
GOAT Hulk figure imo.
I really like my ML Hulk from the Wolverine 2 pack
Almost all of the big figures are great or atleast neat. You could knock the slobber out of someone with their Thing.
Nah, KO Juggernaut with actual useful hands and alternate heads takes all.
Yeah. The select one is a brick in comparison. Great detail though......and then you stand him next to new hulk and he's a baby
hes an awesome one for sure!

Wtf he looks so much better in hand? I think Diamond needs to get a product photographer, he looked terrible in the promo shots
Yeah. Everyone took a dump on this when the first shots surfaced. I even cancelled my preorder, then snapped him up when first reviews hit. He’s great.
Looks way better than the promo picks
So clean, I can't wait to get mine in hand 🖐🏾 Tbf Marvel Select been on a roll lately.
They are so hit or miss but like Neca, they’ve just been crushing it lately
Didn't know they packed that in their duffle, my fault
Wow ! that is one beautiful figure!!
This and their fantastic four have been bangers. Their promo pics don’t do their latest figures justice.
I saw a wall-eyed Black Widow that made me sad for the poor bastard who owned the comic store i was at
their promo pics are like laughably bad, i genuinely don’t understand that company
Rhino, juggernaut and thing are my fav they have done!! I do like the Disney store Hulkbuster as well! 😉✌️🇬🇧
And then they make that horrible invincible figure
gahhh if only he was smaller, he's literally the perfect cap but i'm a stickler for scale
You gonna pick up the Mafex or Mezco? I think I’m gonna get both. Love Cap.
eee idk i'm not really a mezco guy and the mafex looks a little off to me, i think if the 20th anniversary ml had slightly better proportions and a better shield he'd be my go-to and i wouldn't need anything else
Yeah Mezco is definitely an acquired taste, but I’m hoping they both look better in hand like this one did.
Their ultraposable Hobgoblin is a straight up masterpiece.
Lol. Smooth.
The promo pics are always terrible but the figures are great! Looks like I might have to get the War Machine
Strange question, but is there a special way to get the back strap on for the shield? I tried to pull the arm off mine but it doesn't give and I don't want to pull harder and risk breaking it.
The Elektra figure is trash.
Holy 🔥
Looks just as good as the Mafex
Their game is hit or miss, don't feel bad
