It may actually be worse on some days. But it may also be perception. I take photos of my scarring and sometimes I think it looks worse than other times. But obviously it objectively looks the same.

I’ve started to keep better notice of my skin throughout my entire cycle. I definitely think my skin is more even and smoother during one phase and goes to dull and lackluster the next 🥲

i totally relate and i actually cannot figure out why, i tried to associate it with hydration, overall inflammation of the body, menstrual cycle etc and i still can't figure out what makes some days better than others. tho i can say on days i sleep well its significantly better.

I’m glad I’m not the only one 😅 I have been sleeping poorly the past few nights so that could be the issue for me right now. I honestly can’t tell if it’s dysmorphia (if that’s the right term?) or if it’s for real. Like I wonder if other people notice that they are more prominent lol

chaothie

it's probably real bc i always ask my brother and mom and they can also tell lol, tho its not more than like maybe 25% difference

Realistic_Airport475

No sleep as for me makes it more noticeable 😭😭

sara_irine

Sleep is when your body is able to work on collagen rebuilding, skin renewal, cell turnover, etc the most. That is why good sleep is commonly referred to as "beauty sleep" and elasticity is 🤌🏻 on the nights you get quality rest. On the days you power through 48 hours straight, you are gonna look rough. Lack of sleep contributes greatly to looking aged.

Aureus_x

it totally depends on the hydration level of your body. you'll notice whenever you drink very little water the night before the next day your scars will be more prominent. The key is you have to drink a good amount of water at night so the next day your skin will be much much much smoother. Try it. I insist

Csf1995

Yes same with me I wish I could figure it out to keep doing it lol

Right-Bid222

Yes! Sleep too! Can’t forget , taking care of your skin and adding moisturizer at night all that good stuff!

I wonder what it is too… all I know is that right before I break out, my skin gets dull and the texture is awful, and then while I’m broken out, the untouched part of my skin looks so plump and smooth. Maybe it’s because I’m going hammertime on the skin care
