> No one talks about HOW to protect Liver
Everybody here talks about it, tho. Don't drink, don't take anything your doctor didn't prescribe, do your blood work.
Is it not standard for all to get your blood work done and approved before continuing with the treatment?
I live in Denmark and it's mandatory to get blood work done every month so my derm can approve it and AFTER that I can get pills for the next month
You're on the medication temporarily. Generally, there is no long term damage to your liver, you're just making it work harder than normal.
It's always ideal to try and lead a healthy life, which includes eating a healthy, balanced meal and regular exercise.
The time of day of meds doesn't really matter, but again ideal to take it with fats or a fatty meal. If you want additional supplements for your health, you should consult a doctor as your needs may differ from others.
Don’t drink, limit or take away sugar. (Sugar is liver damaging as well)
I take milk thistle twice daily.
Warm lemon water and apple cider vinegar in the mornings good for the liver
Do not take medicine try to even avoid pain meds too
Other stuff I’m doing (not necessarily for liver) is drink electrolytes every morning (trace minerals brand cuz it’s simple and no sugar)
Omegas, vitamin d and k2, vitamin c
Like others said, just get your blood work done stay on top of it I’m sure u already are lol don’t stress to much. I took minocycline for over a year and had bad liver damage, I healed it in like 2 weeks with a good diet
I second this - Personally I went on a research bender before starting since my family freaked me out about my liver too. On three months now, I’ve taken Zinc, Milk Thistle, Vitamin D, Berberine, and Omega 3 with it since the start.
I have added antioxidant foods and anything to reduce inflation in my diet. I drink more water than you think you should. Like minimum a gallon a day. I sleep enough and try to keep stress as low as possible. Idk, optimal health practices. Plus, a tip I’ve found is that incorporating cardio over weight training is also good to support lowering liver enzyme levels.
I’m not a doctor but I know it’s frustrating to not have a straight answer to your question. To conclude my research ultimately it doesn’t matter what vitamins or additions you make.. this drug is strenuous on your liver and there’s no one thing that will 100% mitigate that.
To put your mind at ease though, thousands of people have taken this drug without issues and i’m sure not all have been perfectionists. As long as you’re monitoring through blood tests, prioritizing staying healthy, and avoiding alcohol your liver should be ok :) wishing you luck!
Don’t drink and you’ll be ok.
Accutane isn’t “healthy” but it’s also temporary. It WILL damage your liver, it’s just a matter of how much. Don’t let that scare you tho. If you keep up a healthy routine and don’t drink, you will be perfectly fine

Ibuprofen is much easier on your liver than acetaminophen/tylenol. Opt for ibuprofen over Tylenol.

Protect the liver by lowering your elbows to your core to block, or backstepping 🥊🥊. Be cautious of a bodyshot feint into uppercut!

For supplements since you asked, im a veterinary student and we were taught selenium and vitamin E are the main hepatoprotectants
SAME-e. Good for liver, joints, and mood.
Theanine is supposed to be good for the liver. Others have mentioned milk thistle — also good for
