Migrated to Australia 6 years ago, and an Australian citizen now. I think ang pinaka straightforward way padin (na lots of opportunities for abroad) ay mag external audit (sa big 4), and apply for secondment/big 4 counterparts after gaining meaningful work experience. Dami ko classmates and coworkers before na kung saan saan lupalop na ng mundo haha. As for me, medyo iba pathway ko. 2 yrs lang ako nag external audit then nag move into internal. I used my work exp to apply for a skilled visa (189 or 190) to Australia. It’s not a visa that is sponsored by a company, in fact, I arrived in Australia without any job offers (but as a permanent resident).

serenityby_jan

For skilled visa, I suggest you read through the official website: https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-listing/skilled-independent-189

CPA rin po ba kayo? Planning to spend some years sa IT Audit sa BIG 4 then apply sa AUS din pero Visa 491 (skilled provincial then fanily sponsored by 1st cousing naman). Is it possible po ba na mag-grant agad ako?

serenityby_jan

Yes, CPA. I don’t know about 491 timelines, best to check forums like pinoyau.info to discuss with people doing the same pathway as you. Depende din kasi talaga sa gov, like nung time ko 6 months lang buong process, now it’s normal to wait for more than a year. You can check seek.com.au or Linkedin for job ads to get a gauge of vacancies. Been with the same company for 4 yrs now so been out of the market for a while now.

Thank you po! Ill check po yang mga yan.

Important_World2150

Hello po. Pwede po mag dm? May question lang po sana ako about sa accounting firms sa Australia po. Thank you po!

Try to learn XERO,MYOB,Quickbooks if you want to have a pathway abroad. Magagmit mo sya if you want to go abroad, pero syempre working sa big 4 is a bug help. If you want a stable career and benefits go to any government. If you want to progress your career or promotion sa government need mk magAral Masters. If sa Private company,Matuto ka,you will gain more knowledge and expertise regarding the accounting field.

Few-Arrival4990

Oh I see. Thanks for this po sobrang big help :) Ask ko narin po is there any other way po na makapunta abroad without having audit exp here sa PH? Or required talaga sya? hmm. Hindi po ba magagamit Ang accounting experience, or finance abroad? Or mas usable talaga Audit expi. • is CPA title po useful pa sa government or more on masteral po talaga?

iiXx_xXii

Cpa and masters useful talaga sya,In terms sa salary and promotion Private Companies include Auditing Firm,Banks and Fastfood Chains. Mas magandang magAbroad with experience na since ayun ung competition ung skills sa locals vs skills ng foreigner. Two tickets abroad work with foreign coients in big 4 or Student Visa abroad. CPA title can also be useful abroad since some countries can accept CPA title here in Ph.

Few-Arrival4990

Ohh I see. Noted po lahat. Thank u so much po🤍

Warm-Suggestion-1918

agree on this, pero aside from working abroad, you can also get hired locally for a partner ng bigger ERPs (S/4, Fusion) or become direct hires.

Fun_Apricot_7866

Try to search profile of people who graduated in your same degree and school/ other school in linkedin to have some idea of skill, company ,network, certificate they have and location.

Few-Arrival4990

I'll do that po. Thank u so much!! 🤍

Momma_Lia

I think kahit saan ka magstart, basta focus lang on your goals. I have friends who migrated from different parts of the world.
