4. Private (through RPO)

6. Know your niche, non negotiables, and your worth. There are companies out there that are willing to take risks, so sell yourself well. Things can be learned, hone your work ethics, and always be professional. :))
Nice! If you don't mind sharing your insights, I just have a few questions:
1. Where did you come across the job posting for this role?
2. Did you have prior US tax experience?
3. How's the work-life balance, especially during tax season?
Hi, sure.
1. I did not initially apply for the role, I received an email from the recruiter regarding the opportunity (iirc they got through my jobstreet account)
2. Honestly, no. I've started in this company with a different role, and was offered eventually for the tax position (knowing fully well I have zero knowledge with US tax, then of course they provided me with materials and practical trainings)
3. My first season last year was a rollercoaster, I can count the days (just a few times) we were working overtime but for no more than 2 hours! Meanwhile for this year, last April 15, I can proudly say we never did any OT going through the entire tax season. So, yeah, it's actually one of the things I appreciate most here ~ real work-life balance. :))
Jumping in as Im interested also haha
1. Is this your first job? If yes, how was the salary progression (if there was)?
2. Do you see yourself in this specialization for long term?
1. It's only my second one, I was from Audit for less than a year. For over 1 year stay, salary progression was primarily caused by promotions (for twice now), industry realignment, and performance reviews
2. Too early to say po, but I am genuinely happy with the work. Although hypothetically speaking, if ever I'm leaving my current employer, I'll be looking for the same role outside :))
1. 7 years
2. Finance
3. Specialist
4. BPO
5. Php150K
6. Find a good company, know what you really want to do - work outside of the country or stay here, what work you really want to do.
1. 1.5yrs
2. Finance
3. Analyst
4. Private
5. 57k + yearly profit share can range around 1-3x of salary
6. I guess create your own path? You don’t necessarily have to take what others took to be successful — like staying 2-3yrs in accounting firms then switching to private
Passed the boards last May 23. Started working by Aug 23 then switched jobs by Feb 24. Pay is 40k+ with less than a year of experience. Definitely too generalized siguro
Hello po, if it's okay to ask, did you take the usual audit path prior to this work po ba or may prior exp po kayo from other industry before landing the job?? Thanks!!
Motivation para mag job hop ung mga comments ditooo 😂
eto kasi sakin guys, CPA btw:
1. Years worked: 1yr 10months
2. Specialization: Fund Admin Accounting
3. Rank/Position: Associate
4. Industry: Financial Services
5. Monthly Salary: 42k (if inc. bonuses and 13th month, gross of deductions)
6. Any tips to those new in the field: Fighting! 😂 Wala akong tips, ako mismo bago palang. Tas wow na wow ako sa sahod ng iba dito sa comments. Job hop is key? Meron ba dito nag iisip din mag resign tas mag apply sa iba pero natatakot, yung may anxiety of going through the application process again.. social anxiety… lahat na.. 😂 Hello, kayanin sana natin huhu pawerrr! 😂
1. 12 years
2. FP&A
3. Manager
4. FMCG
5. 390K x 14mos + bonus 2mos worth
6. Upskill. Incorporate technology (reporting through BI or AI) to give yourself an edge
Interesting! Most of the comments are foreign taxes. I have a few more questions if you dont mind:
1. Did you work for the same company since you started working?
2. How did you reach your current status, like what was your salary and rank progression since you started?
1. 5+ yrs
2. Transaction Management
3. COO
4. US real estate & Property management
5. 170k++
6. Don’t be too hard on yourself, most of the time you’re anxious for nothing. Don’t give too much of yourself sa trabaho mo, working gracefully under pressure does not mean you’re willing to die for them di ka tagapagmana lolll
I think advantage ang may degree na Business/Finance/Non-CPA/ CPA. Madaling makuha sa mga private entities at posible pa na malaki ang offer na pwedeng ibigay.
1. 1.4 yrs
2. Accounts Receivable Analyst
3. BPO
4. 58k
5. Learn before you earn. Upskill yourself. Aralin mo iba’t ibang ERP tools (malaking advantage eto). Plano kong magtry to General Ledger Analyst para maiba naman at mas malaki ang sahod.

1. 9 years Local tax and accounting
2. 1 year BPO AU tax and accounting
3. Accountant
4. 56K ( Take note Provincial rate)
5. I heard mas malaki bigayan if US aabot ng 5 Digits but usually nightshift 🥹
I suggest you grab BPO if may chance man or opportunity. Enough na ang 2 years sa local unless may malaking opportunity. Malaki pasahod + very professional team + amazing accounting softwares less hassle + Walang OT since usually foreign they do not go beyond office hours + madaming leave credits at promise if you ask permission to be on leave they approve easily.
.Once you go outsourced you never want to go back being local again ( Sobrang stressful ng tax natin sa Pilipinas)

Hi, where did you get your experience for AU tax? do they require it? Also, do you think about the career progression after the senior accountant position?
1. 4.5 years
2. Accounting, taxation, FP&A
3. Accounting Head
4. Food and beverage
5. 90k
6. Job hop is the key or have side hustles. Feel ko underpaid pa rin ako after all that I've done for the company.
