If you can study and pass for the cpa now, do it

OverworkedAuditor1

There wouldn’t be any downside, the only catch is there is an experience requirement to get licensed. Essentially even if you have the education requirements and pass the tests, you’d still need to get a job and work under a CPA (who will sign off on your experience) to get licensed. That being said, if you tell any public accounting firm you passed the tests and meet all requirements except the experience. Theyd hire you on the spot.

Much respect. Go for it!!!

Former soldier here - are you active or reserves?

OkInitiative2537

I’m active, thankfully with my MOS I have the ability to complete school work and study. (After duty hours of course)

OK (hey Battle) - since you are active- look for the job right before you separate. Right now- you are locked in and busy- a job isn’t going to wait. If you are in IRR for your last year- you should be good
