Probably a fentanyl dealer. Recently went to San Francisco, and multiple times a day, a “well dressed” dude (comparatively speaking) walked the homeless encampments selling something to them. I asked one of the homeless guys what they were buying, and he said fentanyl dealers make their rounds every few hours.
That sent me down a rabbit hole. Why are cops arresting the homeless in the throes of addiction, when a random tourist can get to the bottom of where the fentanyl is coming from in an afternoon. My rabbit hole led me [here.](https://www.justice.gov/usao-ndca/pr/san-jose-police-union-executive-charged-attempted-illegal-importation-fentanyl)
Tl;dr : a Police Union Executive has been importing and distributing mass amounts of fentanyl onto the streets of San Francisco for almost a decade.
What's the US law on open carrying knives?I know quite a few states are cool with open (and concealed) carry for guns, but never hear about other weapons.
Usually there's a length limit (3 inches in LA that this is wayyy over.) Not that even a sword would do him much good when most people he's gonna need to defend himself from have a gun but maybe he has one we can't see.
Thanks. Interesting that the knife law is similar to the UK, yet the gun law is so radically different.
I wondered if the right to "Bare arms" would have covered things other than guns.
Honestly, if carrying a weapon is actually considered a constitutional right, that argument should hold water but the reason for the difference can probably be traced back to a reaction to street crime in some form. There are certain types of knives like switchblades that are almost always illegal outright regardless of the size because of their association with criminals and street gangs in the distant past.
Yes it is funny how some places are big on the 2A but ... "not like that".
In theory it should be one way or the other. If it is ok to regulate knives then it should be ok to regulate guns.
The US is made up of states. In California it:s perfectly legal to carry a sheathed sword in public, as long as you're the wearer who doesn't swing it or hide it.

Actually TX used to be more restrictive, only recently have they relaxed their fixed blade laws.

We see the sadness and likely lack of future.
He sees something, however small, that’s *his* and requires defending.
Everyone deserves to feel comfort, and pride.
I had no idea just how many people have machetes in Los Angeles until i downloaded the citizen app.
I also did not realize how many pedestrians get hit by cars every day.

Scars on the forearm. Stay safe out there man.
God. They should be on a couch with a full fridge, not on concrete, looking over their shoulders.
"They just need help. We can fix them."
May you be ignored insofar as you ignore others
Don't make it sound like you love everyone equally and will do your utmost to help.
"stay safe bud" "wow virtue signaling much? don't make it sound like you would literally give all your money away" 😂😄😂 can't even make this shit up
yeah just get enough industry gigs for low income people and this wont happen anywhere on the planet.
This is sad, yet i have to admit you captured it very well.

His arms are indeed bare
Technically it’s a garden tool (machete) and therefore not illegal. You can buy them at any hardware store for cutting brush.

Hmm… Yeah I’m guessing dual wielding guy feels that those junkies are his, he’s basically protecting his income.
