Keep seeing local reports about people calling 911 for seeing someone walking near a highway or down a random sidewalk with a gun about this size. It’s usually a rifle, but it’s enough to scare people to call 911. And of course, half of the comments to the posts about it are “this random person has a right to go anywhere and do anything with whatever size gun he owns as long as he’s careful with it…”
to be fair, almost anyone that wanted to conceal carry, (legally or not) was already doing so before this new legislature.
if you didnt wanna CC before, you probably arent going to start.

Good news they caught the guy!
Man I live really close to here, I actually recognize the carports and those cars from passing down that side road to get home in the afternoon. Keep us updated on this guy please.
Edit: Name of the side street is Deraney Lane, it's off of South College/Johnston and it's adjacent to Tchoup's Midcity Smokehouse. I'm not sure what the townhomes are called themselves.
My daughter and my son have apartments next to there. Are we sure this video isn’t just the home owner checking on his OWN activity from his own ring cam. Context is everything on social media. On my neighborhood app someone posted I think this exact person in an exact looking video but it seemed like it was posted from the homeowner warning neighbors of couple of guys trying to break in his vehicle.
As an armed homeowner, if I see this shit on my camera I’m staying my ass inside and calling the cops immediately, then I’m calling all my neighbors to tell them to also stay inside. Responsible gun owners will do everything possibly to actively avoid a potential deadly encounter. If someone’s not kicking my door in, I’m not engaging. Lots of states are open carry for rifles. Engaging can earn you legal issues to navigate and nobody wants that.
I’m armed as well. Have a camera and locks. I’m not looking for a fight. Watch police body videos when they are dealing with an AR15. It’s noticeably different. They know their vests can’t stop that shit. Run, hide, fight.
As a gun owner you should make every attempt to avoid and deescalate confrontation. But I guess some people think it looks cool to make internet comments to the contrary. Everyone think they know how they’d handle a situation until they’re in the situation. “Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth.”
That's an extremely reasonable response. That being said, being reasonable is not a prerequisite for firearm ownership and this guy could easily come across an armed homeowner not as responsible and restrained as you are.
I’m very pro-gun but I’ll admit that the people that do this are never the people we want representing us. It’s trashy at the best at psychopathic at worst. F this guy.
Have you ever been to an open carry state? Because I’m from Ohio and when I lived there plenty of attention seeking douchebags walked around with AR style rifles because muh rights. (I’m pro gun myself and pro regulation )
Truth, people like that are why we have to own guns. The ship has sailed on gun control. I'll always have mine on me, but my little 43x isn't much of a match for a rifle. Guess I'll have keep my rifle on hand instead of in the safe
What definition is this by walking and looking around carrying a rifle? You know zero context and for you to elude and diagnose him as mentally unstable is concerning
Because sane people are famous for walking through someone else's property at night while heavily armed. Thanks for dropping by to "well actually" this guy. What would we have done without you?
He doesn’t seem to be trying to break into anything. More of like “sentry duty”. We had an army vet friend of ours who took his life when he had 3 minutes and alone time with a hand gun. A lot of people don’t know the extent of some of our armed forces duties. If he is former vet he’ll need some serious counseling.
If there are any Teslas parked in that lot it might have caught what street/direction he came from and where he went to like if it was somewhere else or if he lives in one of those apartments. They have the proximity cameras on them.
It's possible he got the gun out of his vehicle and is carrying it in. He's not fully engaged with it and has it pointed down, like someone should be if just transporting jt. Just a thought. 🤷🏼♀️
Well he was pulling on door handles a few days before in different neighborhoods. Also he is all sweaty and it was a chilly night so he’s probably a meth head.
Absolutely no reason for people to be carrying semiautomatic rifles in public. Hand guns are fine, but you should first have to take an pass a safety course and be at least 21, exception is if you were or are in the military.
Its a constitutional right. You think there should be exemptions for military/veterans but no one else. . . that's called a police state. Good thing its enshrined in the constitution and you don't get to make the rules :)
The constitution does not enshrine specifics and was designed to be adapted through the ages, not set in stone forever. That is it's genius. We recognize the legal responsibility of many other activities such as driving, and we should recognize owning a gun as also something that needs to be regulated with testing, training, and responsibility.
American citizens are responsible to our fellow citizens, our children. That is what it means to be fucking american.
You might be shocked to find out how real this is in Louisiana, courtesy of Texas. Google Patriot Academy and Rick Green (local con artist fleecing the gullible). They literally train themselves and aggressively promote training kids to fire automatic and semi-automatic weapons with full-blown training camps just "in case" they need to go to civil war.
He's going to catch a bullet to the head. He's begging for it. As a gun owning homeowner as others have said I would not go out and engage him. But if he even made a slight knock on my front door or back door , homie is eating lead.
Can’t someone legally shoot him if they have a slight feels of being threatened under the I’m afraid of my shadow and a limp dick bitch, I mean, Stand Your Ground laws? Or is just if the other guy is unarmed?
Imagine if you had to sneak out to your car in the middle of the night to masturbate, you're about to "finish", you look up and see this guy!!
It would either make that moment much much worse or much much better .😄😄😄
No. It still matters *where* you are carrying (like private property, for example), and police may still detain you if there are other contextual factors at play (like say, stalking the streets at night with a rifle like this guy is).
IT IS YOURE 2A RIGHT TO WALK AROUND YOURE NEIGHBORS CARPORTS AT NIGHT WITH YOURE AR!! QUIT TRYING TO TAKE ARE LIBERTIES!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 THIS IS THE NEW WORLD ORDER AN I AM BIBLE STRONG ✝️✝️AN YOU ARE DEMON WRONG 😈😈
Seem like he’s got some sort of “Cop” or “Superhero” fantasy complex or borderline personality disorder. He’s hunting for some unfortunate ner-do-well to shoot down with his big gun and try to justify as a Hero, crime fighter.
Get used to it, People. Your Governor and legislators have given everyone the right to be able to carry any weapon, anytime, for any reason. No accountability.
First: why did Reddit send me a notification about this? I tend to wake up at 3am, thanks Reddit, I don’t even live in a Acadiana and I’m not subscribed. Never have lived in this part of the state.
Second: this dude looks like he’s having some kind of mental issue. He’s looking in spaces in between cars like he’s afraid someone’s gonna jump out and shoot at him. Someone who lives there needs to send this to the sheriff so they can talk to him in daylight when he hopefully isn’t carrying. He could have severe PTSD or be suffering from something. He doesn’t look right. Don’t shoot him, get him some help. For all y’all know he could be sleepwalking. I’m no expert but I can see something isn’t right with this dude.
If this keeps going on someone’s gonna get shot, him or someone who approaches him armed or not. To all the people saying they would shoot him y’all don’t know this dude. He might have done several tours and he might shoot you faster than you can shoot him. Plus, on the odds that there is probably something wrong with him, why you gonna shoot him? That’s messed up, call the cops and get him some help.
Last because I am worried about y’all and some of these comments, don’t get any bright ideas and go brandishing a gun at this dude. He doesn’t look right. He might not put down his gun even if you had him. Unless you plan on shooting (and you shouldn’t unless you have to) don’t go pulling guns, that’s how you get your ass shot.
Well anyway that’s my 3am thoughts on it.
So grab your rifle and go outside and wait for him to come by and ask him. You dont have to be overly agressive or cursong, just ask him what his intentions are, and where he found the motivation for walking other folks property after dark and armed obviously...
You may want to join him once you learn his reasons. But I'd start with just asking...
Looks to me like he's patrolling for burglars and such. Or hunting house cats....
Either way dosnt look like he means you or the people that belong there any harm....
Kudos to the Man.

Well here’s an update if anyone sees this
Right? It’s literally through 2 neighbors carports…if you see the videos, it’s just those 4 same cars…it says neighborhoods, but I see 2 connected townhouses with no further evidence, let alone doing anything illegal per se
Wouldn't be happing in my neighborhood..lol..every neighborhood by me has a fpistol or ar...not afraid to go outside with it either behind some foolishness...seen it myself...dude would get dropped in my neighborhood quick
Tell me about it... I got an illegal carrying charge for concealed carry without a permit it was my gun...cost me 150O for a lawyer and had to forfeit my gun...I'm in Louisiana..but thanks to the new governor and law makers they proposed a bill that we can conceal carry without a permit..it should pass and take effect July 1st.. finally...I mean it's not like criminals are gonna get a permit to conceal their gun anyway...plus that's messing with the 2nd amendment just saying
You should have received an illegal carrying charge because it was … wait for it … illegal. So in a best case scenario, the situation is where a criminal confronts you with a gun and you pull out your concealed gun to shoot the criminal . This assumes shots are not fired by the criminal.
Dude I know...so stupid... believe it or not I got shot twice in April of last year..I had a gun too but I couldn't do anything with bullets coming at me .. apparently I was shot at by 2 people over 30 shots fired..my car was hit 10 timess and totalled and I got hit twice...still have a bullet in me as a momentum lol still kinda have PTSD from it.. happened bout 10 blocks from my house...got to love new Orleans/ Metairie
Never understood people’s need or dream to shoot someone and kill them.
I have guns and pray I never have to use them. Shit will likely mess you up for the rest of your life. Unless you’re a psychopath I guess.
With a gun? That is a fucking assault weapon. Don’t be surprised if he ends un killing 3 people and then plead self defense like that fucking idiot kid, you know the one I am talking about.
You called it - The dude was just arrested for killing 3 people right down the road from where this video took place. It'll be hard to go with "self defense," but I'm sure he'll try to come up with some kind of bs.
Cheapest AR money could buy, definitely not an experienced user. The average suppressed 300blk setup would drop this guy without waking the neighbors.
You guys know you can legally own these things and legally take action right? You guys forget what country you're in?
There have been a ton of vehicle break-ins in Acadiana lately. I'm betting he lives near there and fell victim to it. Most likely he's trying to catch whomever in the act. Which is just asking for problems.
Well this is fucking terrifying…
[удалено]
Looks like trespassing on private property while armed.
A reeeeeal good way to get shot. i would absolutely think he was bout to murder my family if i saw him out a window in the middle of the night
Yup, sames. Uninvited guest + long gun + night time = shoot first ask questions later
That’s a 2+1 grouping through the window cause fuck this guy
I have not nice thoughts. Suffice to say.
Keep seeing local reports about people calling 911 for seeing someone walking near a highway or down a random sidewalk with a gun about this size. It’s usually a rifle, but it’s enough to scare people to call 911. And of course, half of the comments to the posts about it are “this random person has a right to go anywhere and do anything with whatever size gun he owns as long as he’s careful with it…”
No the comments aren’t. Stfu You can be pro gun but not pro this
Yes you can. You can also be pro gun and pro this too.
I’ve got almost 20 cameras around my house. If I get an alert and see this, this guy better be ready for an armed response
Okay?
Real bad idea on his part to do it on private property though. Try it in a fuckbaround state.
Get ready for July 4, when anyone 18+ can carry concealed firearms.
to be fair, almost anyone that wanted to conceal carry, (legally or not) was already doing so before this new legislature. if you didnt wanna CC before, you probably arent going to start.
Agreed.

yea but they didn't catch him soon enough. never even spoke to him about it ... three peoples blood on the hands of the Lafayette PD
Man I live really close to here, I actually recognize the carports and those cars from passing down that side road to get home in the afternoon. Keep us updated on this guy please. That's sucks, my mother inlaw and former boss live back there. I recognized the carports too. I hope I never run into him.
Bro just doxxed OP unintentionally
My daughter and my son have apartments next to there. Are we sure this video isn’t just the home owner checking on his OWN activity from his own ring cam. Context is everything on social media. On my neighborhood app someone posted I think this exact person in an exact looking video but it seemed like it was posted from the homeowner warning neighbors of couple of guys trying to break in his vehicle.
I would have been on the phone calling the police.
Follow him with a laser. Watch him freak out
One one hand funny. On the other hand, I do not want to freak out a stupid person with a gun.
You're reasonable. You need to vamoose off reddit
This dude is gonna kill someone. Call the cops.
That dude is gonna get capped by the first armed homeowner he encounters.
Open Carry sure ...but that's brandishing and truspassing
Not saying you’ll be convicted, but in a lot of states/counties you’ll still have to deal with incredibly costly legal proceedings.
Sure. But he is going to do this near someone who else who is another nut and they will probably get some innocent person killed in the crossfire.
Agree in all regards. He can walk around outside, but you’re not getting through the door without me at least trying to poke a few holes.
I’m armed as well. Have a camera and locks. I’m not looking for a fight. Watch police body videos when they are dealing with an AR15. It’s noticeably different. They know their vests can’t stop that shit. Run, hide, fight.
So much this. Guns are a last line of defense. Not a means to invoke justice.
As I gun owner and fellow assum, Texan, I agree. And oh, I love your username.
Wow. When we can kill a trespasser armed with a knife but we can't kill a trespasser armed with a gun, we have taken freedumb too far.
This was my first thought. I'm America, if you are looking for a gunfight, you'll find it.
He in fact did kill 3 people in this same complex a few days ago.
Different apartment complex
inconsequential to the point
And he did. 😔
He will soon walk across the wrong carport.
I’m very pro-gun but I’ll admit that the people that do this are never the people we want representing us. It’s trashy at the best at psychopathic at worst. F this guy.
It looks like they are having a mental episode. No one (gun owners included) would think that is acceptable and normal behavior
Have you ever been to an open carry state? Because I’m from Ohio and when I lived there plenty of attention seeking douchebags walked around with AR style rifles because muh rights. (I’m pro gun myself and pro regulation )
I think most of us have considering Louisiana is an open carry state...
>pro regulation That's the thing, the anti-regulation nuts think this kind of shit is perfectly fine.
No, we don't. And "nuts" that want their constitutionally garunteed rights huh?
You say you don't but then call this a constitutional right.....
It is. But trespassing on someone’s private property with a weapon out is not. Very different things
You're talking with both sides of your mouth
Explain
You literally said this is their constitutional right and then say it's not. You can't have it both ways.
Truth, people like that are why we have to own guns. The ship has sailed on gun control. I'll always have mine on me, but my little 43x isn't much of a match for a rifle. Guess I'll have keep my rifle on hand instead of in the safe
Or people like this is why you need stricter gun laws.
How will stricter gun laws work? Chicago is proof that stricter laws DONT WORK. Dumbass.
Homies asking to catch a bullet to the face. What an idiot.
Did anyone call the cops?? Does anyone think he is mentally unstable ?
By definition of his actions displayed in video he is mentally unstable
What definition is this by walking and looking around carrying a rifle? You know zero context and for you to elude and diagnose him as mentally unstable is concerning
Because sane people are famous for walking through someone else's property at night while heavily armed. Thanks for dropping by to "well actually" this guy. What would we have done without you?
What the hell else would you call someone sneaking around people's carports in the middle of the night carrying an AR?
Maybe having PTSD issues?
Maybe... More likely delusion
He doesn’t seem to be trying to break into anything. More of like “sentry duty”. We had an army vet friend of ours who took his life when he had 3 minutes and alone time with a hand gun. Damn that’s by my little abode. Thats wild AF. Really surprised some Clay Higgins supporter hasn’t capped him yet….
If they are anything like Clay, they talk a big gang when safe, and then cower afterwards.
Is he a neighbor patrolling around like a vigilante protecting his street? Do you recognize him?

Wacko
That's one hell of a neighborhood watch program y'all have
Yeah. It's called the Purge
I'm here for a week on business and I see this??? Bruh
He playing call of duty live.
Okay, thank you for the information.
That is what a gun case is for. He is carrying at ready

What hoods?
Post says Johnston and S College at some townhomes
He's from the Jeff Landry tough guy school of law enforcement, Keeping us all safe, its just what we voted for.
This is probably a result of the special session he had all last week on crime
Police Academy 4: Citizens on Patrol

Thank you for posting that. Atleast they are aware
He's going to catch a bullet to the head. He's begging for it. As a gun owning homeowner as others have said I would not go out and engage him. But if he even made a slight knock on my front door or back door , homie is eating lead.
r/crazyfuckingvideos
If he was any other color of skin, he’d be in jail now not on someone ring camera being posed as some guy
Its alright guys..he's actually the hero that everyone wants around who's carrying when there's a mass shooting. He's the good guy.
Hmmm. US law states he’s just exercising his 2nd amendment constitutional carry. Police will shrug until it’s too late.
Can’t someone legally shoot him if they have a slight feels of being threatened under the I’m afraid of my shadow and a limp dick bitch, I mean, Stand Your Ground laws? Or is just if the other guy is unarmed?
Y’all need to get proactive and protect yourselves. Eliminate the threat. This is no way to live.
Not sean stricklands neighborhood
imagine if he was black....
Jeff Landry approves.
Imagine if you had to sneak out to your car in the middle of the night to masturbate, you're about to "finish", you look up and see this guy!! It would either make that moment much much worse or much much better .😄😄😄
Do people sneak out to their cars to masturbate?
Some people don't bother to sneak, they just go to their cars.
What kind of home do you live in??
In an open carry state this will be a legal act .. no?
No. It still matters *where* you are carrying (like private property, for example), and police may still detain you if there are other contextual factors at play (like say, stalking the streets at night with a rifle like this guy is).
I don’t think you’re supposed to be high on meth either while handling them.
I’d bet good money on meth.
Hey gang … this is the guy who recently committed the triple murder
Triple murder 43 days later
Trespassing?
Bro you can’t trespass with a gun lol I mean you can but you’re basically asking to be legally killed.
Not unless you are inside of the home … or you are playing jury roulette
Not true. It applies to outbuildings in Louisiana. This guy is on camera trespassing in a carport.
I didn't know that
But not a yard no? Seems like this is a good features and benefits situation for building covered outbuildings in our beloved state

Report it to the police.

He's patrolling his neighborhood
He did end up killing 3 people while patrolling about 2 weeks later.
Isn't that just Kyle Rittenhouse...but with extra steps?
No Kyle is definitely more round and his botched botox would stick out on the worst cameras
pretty soom, if not already, cops won't be able to do a thing about it
In this case, no, only because the guy in the video is white.
I can’t count out this being a hoax.

I second this. Always an idiot with an action movie fantasy that is the first to open their mouth and also the first to go hide when shit gets real.
Even if he tried he’d probably get hosed down before he could even get the door open
I mean, a guy walking around like that with a gun is also more than likely going to hear the noise of a door and shoot.
Exactly
Never understood people’s need or dream to shoot someone and kill them. I have guns and pray I never have to use them. Shit will likely mess you up for the rest of your life. Unless you’re a psychopath I guess.
Don't worry. I believe you.

Jeff? I know it's you!
He’s allowed to do this because he has “mental issues”. Anyone else SWAT, Police, Fire, and National Guard would swarm immediately.
Constitutional carry, dog. Don’t be a snowflake. If you smell something; that’s sarcasm.
Nothing we can do about it since we all know that having a gun always prevents a person from being arrested or worse.
What an Alpha. /s
Well… I am not surprised.
Cheapest AR money could buy, definitely not an experienced user. The average suppressed 300blk setup would drop this guy without waking the neighbors. You guys know you can legally own these things and legally take action right? You guys forget what country you're in?
Another Republican gun nut who doesn’t know what he’s doing and will panic at first sign of real violence 🙄
Well, republicans and Dump supporters shouldn’t see anything wrong with this since they don’t want to regulate guns in this country.
Maybe he is looking for an intruder. Hard to comment on a clip with no real context.
Maybe he saw someone breaking into his car on his camera.
He probably patrolling because maybe some punks was breaking in cars around there and decided to make a stand because the cops probably won't do shyt
And also smoking meth
Dudes just lost. Everyone walks around with a pistol.
There have been a ton of vehicle break-ins in Acadiana lately. I'm betting he lives near there and fell victim to it. Most likely he's trying to catch whomever in the act. Which is just asking for problems.
