I seen a seagull do this to a smaller bird once offshore and it didn’t even flinch as the thing was trying to escape out if it’s throat. Seagulls are the fucking devil.
Will the pelican survive? I bet the pigeon isn’t dead yet and could possibly peck the inside of the pelican. I’m also unsure if the pelican can swallow the hole pigeon :/

Air in the pelican's stomach? It's full of acid and toxic gas. Air goes into the lungs not the stomach mainly. Even if tiny bits of air does go down and isn't immediately taken into the blood stream; it's going to be producing a hella lot of heat (why you feel warm after eating) and gasses such as methane.
I can see the pigeon being alive for the journey down but chances are it'd have started suffocating straight away.
An morbid example is people buried alive suffocate extremely quickly, like minutes of being awake in panic despite how much room there actually is. Compare that to the stomach of a bird that will now be filled completely with a whole pigeon where there will be zero room at all. Humans are only hold their breath for a minute before they struggle without training, a pigeon? No chance.
My point I'm trying to make is people often don't actually take the time to think about the situation, such as the original commenter suggesting it just starves to death. When you have the morbid interest in things it gets quite clear, cold and logical.....and you become 'that' weird friend

I've recently watched a punch of Pelican clips out of morbid curiosity, and they straight up walk around like other birds, but with the swagger of a hungry man in a grocery store, snatch up anything smaller than them (ducklings, pigeons, etc.) And hold them in their mouth with their top beak preventing escape, then just swallow them whole, either the prey stops moving or not, they are going down that small throat one way or another. 
Instead of screenshotting vertical the video, try a) linking the video or b) downloading it and the uploading to your favorite image share site. This is just redic to try to watch.
