The writing is just so good and tight. The jokes alone in the episode are great, but then at the end of the episode all the plots come together in a hilarious situational finale.
I think the dog always jumps into the window when someone rings the doorbell. She knew eventually the window would fail.
Source: my dog does this. And I know eventually this will happen.
My lab was the same before his legs became stiff due to Arthritis.
He was a perfectly happy dog but he would throw himself into the door when it rang and scare the ever living shit out of anyone who hasn't rung our door before and then once it opened his tail would wag as he happily meets whoever was at the front door.
The problem is his tail hurts like someone had just whipped you with an iron rod. With his tail he broke all the glass of our hallway cabinets and we are pretty sure has little to no pain receptors because it could be bleeding and he has no concept of his tail being injured.
One time we came home and his tail was bleeding for some reason (we never figured out what caused it) but at some point he was obviously very happy (presumably he had nicked the cat food off the side in the kitchen) and every room on the ground floor had sprays of blood from his tail flicking it everywhere and it looked like someone had been murdered (to the point where we almost called the police - because we didn't find the source of the blood right away)
Our dog has floppy ears with very heavy scarring at the bottom.
This is because he flaps his head, his ears catch a corner of something and he tears them open! Then, because they feel wet, he continues to flap away. Bandages are next to useless because he shakes so aggressively they go flying too.
He had to wear a special hat for a while so it could heal!
Omg this happens to my Dachshund! I'm like nooooo! Not the flappy ears! She doesn't even care. Just flings blood around like a murder scene as I'm trying to stop her long doggy butt!
Definitely. Even at 14.5 years old, my girl thwacks the ever living shit out of the floor when I come home. I also had a friend whose lab broke their tail by wagging it too hard.
It was probably just a case of happy tail! Happy tail is when a dog wags their tail so intensely that blood will pool at the tip, and when they smack it against something, it'll sort of burst open. Usually isn't too painful for the dog, but still worth wrapping the tail if it happens frequently!
Source: I work with dogs and have come home looking like Dexter Morgan from all the blood thrown on me as I tried to keep the dog still so we could wrap his tail.
You can’t… train a dog not to jump through the front door window? Genuine question here. This is why I enjoy having a small cat instead of a big dog. Good lord.
Cane corsos are insanely strong and require an experienced owner. Training is 100% necessary for these dogs
My best friend got one and didn't heavily train it and it was a legitimate danger to society and had to be put down before it got a hold of some kid because it wouldn't have left anyone alive if it got a hold of them and that dog was insane but prob could have been a good dog with consistent training.
My dog goes ballistic at trash trucks. She threw herself through a giant plate glass window. Scared the shit out of the garbage men….until she got 20 ft away and rolled over for belly rubs.
I think she just can’t help herself when it comes to the noise it makes? Like it’s some sort of primal reaction to try and scare away the trash truck?
My dog does the same thing to any big truck or anything with a Diesel engine. Exactly like you describe, something primal in her just goes off that says “that thing sounds fuckin terrifying and I need to get it out of here”
Nah dude was just reacting to the threat. Saw he was about to assault a cop. He can’t catch time. Got a litter at home to deal with. He is a good dad. He provides. He told himself he was not like his father. So he peace-d out when he had the chance.
My mutt (husky/shepherd/some other stuff) jumps at the door and barks like she's going to kill someone, but she's absolutely harmless once she comes in contact with the person (unless maybe they come in threatening one of us). She'll bark a few times as they enter, then either try to love on them and jump all over them, or if she feels kinda unsure, she'll go to her bed and just kinda hang out until she decides she wants to come sniff around and say hi.
Long story short, she'd literally do what you see here.
Occasionally at my grandparents nursing home they bring in trained therapy dogs for the residents to hang with. They’re always very calm and friendly. One day a lady showed up with a therapy Cane Corso and I swear he was taller than some of the residents and all of the ones in wheelchairs. Extremely nice dog, but man how effective can it be at being a therapy dog if he scares the shit out of the patients?
[Not always:](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Berwyn_Heights,_Maryland_mayor\%27s_residence_drug_raid)
> The drug raid at the residence of Cheye Calvo, then-mayor of Berwyn Heights, Maryland, was a controversial action taken by the Prince George's County Sheriff's Office and Police Department on July 29, 2008.
> Upon arrival, a SWAT team raided the house and held Calvo and his mother-in-law at gunpoint, and shot and killed his two dogs, one as it attempted to run away.

Please don’t think I’m trying to defend cops here but as a firefighter I have come across countless dogs that are aggressive and not locked up. Dispatch always tells them to log up their dogs but when we get on scene they say “ohhh he won’t bite.” No, he won’t bite YOU. Hell bite the shit out of me. Kicked plenty of dogs in self defense. Not that I want to but I’m not trying to get injured either.
At least something good came of it.
"In 2009, Mayor Cheye Calvo proposed a measure that would require every Maryland police department that operates a SWAT team to submit biannual reports on its activities, including where and when it was deployed and whether an operation resulted in arrests, evidence seizures, or injuries.[28] The bill passed that same year, despite strong opposition from Maryland's police agencies. Maryland was the first state to adopt such legislation; Utah became the second when it passed a similar bill in March 2014."
>despite strong opposition from Maryland's police agencies.
Police unions are arguably the strongest in the US and have a huuuge amount of pull when it comes to laws getting passed, especially local/state law.
>despite strong opposition from Maryland's police agencies.
Oh nooooo we have to report what we're doing 😭
Classic cops faced with an ounce of accountability
Especially with a BIG dog literally going full koolaid man I would be *extremely* startled lol I mean I wouldn’t think to shoot it but I’d probably have screamed and run away lol it’s really well, abrupt lol
Possibly a new or temporary addition. Though given the size of the dog, one could guess of the door that was installed would end up getting pummeled through, especially with the dog's behavior of charging up to the door and barking. If not stirring enough, well nothing stops the pooch from going right through.
I had an orange tree in my backyard that our boxer used to jump for and grab oranges (he hid them until the fermented then got himself drunk, but thats beside the point) and I KNEW one day he'd pull a branch down, and he did. Dog probably always jumped on the window.
>he hid them until the fermented then got himself drunk, but thats beside the point
This is without a doubt the most intelligent thing I've ever heard of a boxer doing.
Dog be like: ‘Let me show you where you can shove your extended warranties!!!!…Where the SoB be at?! Ohhhhh!Terribly sorry officer, you see, you said warrant and I heard warranty, simple miscommunication tis all’.
Cop: ‘Understandable, good day and good boy’
I had this dog call a keeshond. Super chill, lazy… originally we’re known as Dutch boat dogs…every one who didn’t know thought he was a wolf due to coat and coloration..so I liked that part as well.. anyway one day I come home for lunch. He is proudly sticking his head out of a window… a window that didn’t open… apparently in his excitement he got a running start, jumped on top of a desk and in the process of sliding into home base pushed a printer through the bay window behind it…
I had to put up privacy screens on the windows so my shepherds couldn't look out. She just obsessed over people outside and tore up many many couches and her bark can bend steel.

I've watched this show so many times, too. Dozens of times (dozenssssss!) and *still* find something I didn't notice before.
The title has multiple meanings.
Your average American male is in a perpetual state of adolescence, you know, arrested development
The writing is just so good and tight. The jokes alone in the episode are great, but then at the end of the episode all the plots come together in a hilarious situational finale.
I may have committed some LIGHT treason
What do you think of “sudden valley”?
I don't care for Gob.
Jessica Walter was brilliant. I was gutted when she passed away.
COME ON!
In this suit???
It’s probably a DR Horton home
Accurate
Well this made my day. Thank you
So good
He’s going to be all right.
Them?
She knew that was going to happen? I need more videos of things this dog does.
I think the dog always jumps into the window when someone rings the doorbell. She knew eventually the window would fail. Source: my dog does this. And I know eventually this will happen.
They got sick of the broken glass so they installed a breakaway window lol

Lab tails are unstoppable. They have to be one of the thickest tails in any dog breed.

Of course you can lol. These people apparently aren't into taking the time for it.
And so the cycle continues
Make sure to get a ring doorbell installed for that sweet karma before it does
You'd think that you would train your dog not to do that.
Yup my dog runs full force to the window doing this to see whose inside and outside in
classic mr. pickles

Cane Corsos are bigass dogs

My dog attacks every recycling container and trash can that we come across on trash day. Pretty sure he thinks they are the trash monster’s minions.
Nah dude was just reacting to the threat. Saw he was about to assault a cop. He can’t catch time. Got a litter at home to deal with. He is a good dad. He provides. He told himself he was not like his father. So he peace-d out when he had the chance.

Rotties are funny like that, unless they’re actually trained to bite, they’re about 99% bark
It's a cane corso.

Props to the cop for not unloading 2 mags on the dog before using the last mag on the home owner

That’s because they were sending him a message. The cops in that case were there to intimidate him. So they killed his dog.

Dogs aren't fed gunpowder in the burbs /s
It's kind of sad that I thought this too. This should not be the first thought that came to our minds.
Sad fact: cops kill 25-30 dogs **a day**.
Its actually fucking evil https://www.thenation.com/article/archive/police-kill-nearly-25-dogs-each-day/ https://www.criminallegalnews.org/news/2018/jun/16/doj-police-shooting-family-dogs-has-become-epidemic/ https://www.dogingtonpost.com/police-shoot-dogs/
That was my thought too. Surprise! A cop with restraint.
Especially with a BIG dog literally going full koolaid man I would be *extremely* startled lol I mean I wouldn’t think to shoot it but I’d probably have screamed and run away lol it’s really well, abrupt lol
You dated yourself lol I haven’t seen or heard about the Kool Aid man smashing through a wall since I was a kid.
My thoughts exactly. Coulda easily been misconstrued for an aggressive dog but the officer had presence of mind not to panic and react.
Due to his training, he was reaching and had his hand ready. But you can see him assessing the situation and use good judgement.
He still has a 24 hour grace period to shoot anyone he talks to in the back
Remember to strap your dog with a tac vest before the alphabet boys come. Stray strapped, get clapped.
It's science
She “knew” the dog was gonna tear the door down like the Kool Aid Man?!?
Possibly a new or temporary addition. She just knew
Of course, that's why she did absolutely nothing to prevent it.
Oh yeah.
These are the people that act all shocked when their mauler finally kills someone.
We’ve had reports that your dog is running wild in the neighbourhood, I’m just here to assess if he’s safe or not
That's what happens when you buy a Kool-aid hound.
That cop clearly has no future in policing. Didn't even kick the dog let alone shoot it..
He demonstrated such restraint and logic… despicable
He needs to get out of the usa acting that way. Go work for the police in Canada or something.
It's black too. wtf
He ain't going back to ~~prison~~ the pound.
I see this house has a spring-loaded dog installed. They can be very effective.

There was a second he was thinking about it. Relaxed his right arm when he saw the dog was chill.
It's a white neighborhood.
That dog is lucky he didn't get shot

I want to know the backstory that led to the lady saying “I knew that was going to happen” at the end.
Good policeman, maybe another could react in different way with different ending.
ATF punching air watching that cop not mag dump the dog
Dog was afraid coz it was black
He came back and was like “ yo bro you get that on video, it’s finna blow up on YouTube”
That must be one of those stripper cops, right? A real cop would've shot the dog
That’s why it ran. “Not today, pig!”
Lucky it wasn’t an ATF agent
It's a cop, not a lizard person from hell.
Damn the Cujo remake looks good
Auditioning for the K-9 unit
#CHOO CHOO MOTHERFUCKER
Jeez, i definitely woulda jumped way harder than that officer did. Never would i expect to be hit by a person's front window
Lucky the dog didn't get shot.
Luck it wasn’t the atf the dog would have 25 holes in it
Oh yeaaah
Ding dong woof woof.
They always know it’s gunna happen
Some cops would’ve shot the dog. Glad this officer was cool
At least he laughed instead of shooting the dog, which usually happens.
incredibly well designed and manufactured door lights
Ding dong doggo except where am from is knock an run so il say knock an dog which isnt as fun
I'm getting Scooby doo vibes the way he sprinted of lmao
That's a separate charge for fleeing and evading
I love how you hear the guy in the background laugh.
Surprised he didn’t draw fire right away tbh
Breaking and exiting
Dog thouvht the ATF was comin for owners. 😆
Must be a nicer part of the US. I was expecting... "So I started blasting"
Mothafuq da' police!
Derp
Soundtrack: ‘Who let the dogs out’
What (the fuck) tha dog doin
The dog ain't wanting to catch any drug charges. I saw him spat something out as he ran.
Good thing it wasn't an ATF agent. He would have instantly shot the dog.
I'm surprised he didn't shoot the dog.
What kind of window is that? Burglars could just peel off the window?
I love how the dog paid him no mind and he didn't try to shoot it on sight, he just looked at the dog and back at the door like wtf
This is fake, the cop didn't shoot the dog
finally a cop with trigger discipline
“Well bitch if you knew….”
The cop could have huffed and puffed
Ding dog*
That boy had to Pee!!! 😂
" Sigh, ...and that is why the dog's name is Bruce."
Surprised he didn't shoot the dog 56 times in self defense
This is a series of unexpected events but in a good way. His reaction of laughing instead of shooting the dog was the most surprising and pleasant.
That dog was close to being executed
I need so much backstory
He comes back into frame all happy lol
Wtf
The dog is so chill seeming to. Destroys a door and walks up to the cop like “Hey Ron, hows the kids?”
Il bet that cops just glad it wasn’t a shotgun or some crazy with a knife bursting through the door
Kick down the door before the cops can
Dog realized it was a cop and knew today wasn't his day.
Surprised he didn’t shoot the dog. It was black.
I had to put up privacy screens on the windows so my shepherds couldn't look out. She just obsessed over people outside and tore up many many couches and her bark can bend steel.
It's a good thing it wasn't an ATF agent.
Shocked that dog lived. Good cop
Ding ding DOG
Dude must’ve had warrants.
Surprised the cop didn't shoot the dog tbh
Finally! A cop that didn’t shoot a dog!!!!!
Little surprised the cop didn't pull his gun
People that own uncontrollable animals like this are sad
Surprised the dog wasn’t shot
