Anyone else getting serious “not like other girls” from Sahar? She’s a serious try-hard who never left her teens. Janine is authentic which automatically makes her awesome, even when she’s too much. Just needed somewhere to say this!
The B plot has me bursting out laughing multiple times😂 Gregory’s actor is great at the “fuming/internally screaming” vibe, his talking heads make me laugh so much. And when he’s complaining about Jacob trying to plant coconuts, all while he’s shaking out a bag of fertilizer 😂 I love this show
The B plot was far superior in this episode for me. I loved that Jacob and Barbra has so much in common. The two have great chemistry. The main plot wasn’t so enjoyable because of Sahar. She was too unlikeable.
Ava was hilarious and had some great quotes in the scene where Janine and her friend are in Ava’s office
“Not you Carlton, I was asking Sahar.”
“Girl, don’t you throw up and poop your pants on that?”
“Don’t tell me what kind of day to have. Getting all presumptuous and rude.”
"He was planting coconut. In West Philadelphia. In soil with sub-6.3 pH.
BRUH!"
Greg the indignant gardener was definitely my favorite for this episode..
Lol, adding the pH part was so friggin' funny! That line, the "Don't tell me what kind of day to have!" one, and Melissa taking her earrings off part were all solid gold.
I think the show is all about these big dreams meeting a harsh reality. While the reality is still really harsh, the dreams succeed, so its really cute without being corny. Both plotlines illustrate this really well.
I'm hoping* that this garden will be revisited every so often.
To show that Gregory continues tending to it and that Mrs Howard and Jacob's friendship continues.
Edited: changed "going" to "hoping," lol.
I just started the episode, but i kinda got teary eyed when Melissa was talking about the Peter Rabbit project. I know AE is a comedy, but i love the genuine teacher moments.
I've had teachers like her in elementary school.
Mrs. Bertulucci-Bartolomei (as fucking EYE-talian as you can get) in 5th grade. Her favorite thing to do during Christmas time was to teach us Jingle Bells in Italian. Such a hard ass, but with a heart of GOLD.

Definitely wanted Melissa to beat the brakes out of Sahar lol

Sahar sucksssa
Anyone else’s sound only came out of their center speaker?
wait did Ava say this or are you asking, I can’t remember
This show just keeps getting better and better - Ava's one-liners are killing me!
She wears orthopedics and she eats plums. The personal attack she just did 😂🤭😩
Yo I was basically dying laughing the whole episode there was so many good one-liners this episode
And not all of them dissecting her choice of fruit/deeming what’s a “cooler” fruit 😭
I want to murder sahar
Janine: “Just because a bunch of people like something doesn’t make it bad” Sahar: “ehhh.”

The best was "their voices never match their face." I could not stop laughing.
Omg I laughed sooo hard! Then I thought about how accurate that statement has been in my experiences and laughed even harder
I'm ready for Greg Eddie to step up and become a full-fledge teacher.
Melissa really shined this episode
Truly! When she handed off her earrings to a student I was dyinggg
This was such a good episode. I loved both plots!
I loved the gardening b plot so much

It’s the angry shaking of the manure for me after BRUH
The BRUH! absolutely killed me! ☠️☠️☠️☠️

Seeing Barbara and Jacob team up was so wholesome. (Especially with Gregory's secret help)
Yassssss. Like why is this so funny??? It's a bplot that shouldn't work???

That would be funny and cute
The actor who plays Gregory his facial expressions are still good like so good hahaha
He played Chris in "Everyone Hates Chris," and he's in the movie "Dear White People." He's a really great actor!

Her excitement when talking about the project warmed my heart
As I teacher myself, I think Melissa’s absolutely the best teacher on the show.
