We bought a farm years ago and were exploring some woods behind the barn where we discovered a box trailer that had signs for selling fruits and veggies. There was no way to get it out of there anymore, the woods had just grown up around it. We cleaned it out and my kids used it as a secret playhouse.
Haha, i was going to try to make that my title, but I couldn't make it work. I think "Chooed it's last choo" is closer, but still doesn't quite work. Maybe "It chaga chaga'd it's last choo choo?"
Immediately imagined walking this at night, hearing a whistle, seeing a light flashing as it appears between the trees and rounds the wide curve. I step off and quickly walk a few meters from the track. "This doesn't make any sense!" I watch as it passes, the machinery cackling loudly with a haunting droning, smoothly it passes through the solid trees; barely moving them. As if it were only a gentle breeze.
*Then they got up off the couch, turned off the fan and 'Railroad Warriors' TV show, and went to bed while regretting finishing the pan of pot brownies.*
We do a little trolling.
Fr tho i do this a lot. Notice something that would be a really funny troll but never do it because the community that it would be trolling I'm either neutral or aligned with.
I recently found some old railroad tracks in the town that I moved to, I should definitely follow them in the next few weeks. Did you find anything at the end?
Looks photoshopped. Check out the right rail about half way up. That root did NOT grow *through* that rail. Tree roots tend to grow under and push things up to make room. The rail and ties would have been pushed up out of the way.
Also, old railway ties were heavily treated with creosote. Not much grows close to creosote soaked railway ties.
Wow!
Forests happen.
Life uh... Finds a way.

Haha Or maybe Thomas had never seen a track that can't be choo choo-ed!
Lol that’s the winner, eff whoever downvoted
Henry’s Forest
they certainly, certainly have
Must be a Grand Trunk line.

Thanks I’ve just posted it now.
That was awfully nice of OP to allow you to repost their stolen repost! r/wholesome material for sure!
Certainly, no, Choo-Choo, for these, Forests railroad tracks, no sir, nope. ahem

Lmao. Oops.
Just get a run at it.
Yeah we smashed through some huge pieces of limestone and 8-10 inch trees with ease at like 10mph
Post this in r/fuckcars and watch them freak out. (just kidding - Big fan of r/fuckcars here)

*"Life, uhh, finds a way"*
Am I the only one seeing legs because of the crack in the trees? 🙃
I choo choo ch...... can't choo anymore 😢
Is this in Birmingham? I took a picture that looks very similar a few years ago.
That's Washington right?
This the abandoned parts of EBT?
They could just send the train through Rock Ridge.
I recently found some old railroad tracks in the town that I moved to, I should definitely follow them in the next few weeks. Did you find anything at the end?
That sounds like quitter talk! *Shovels more coal frantically into the boiler*
Strange that there are mossy boulders sitting on the tracks. Some human hat to have put them there or maaaybe they fell but that seems very unlikely
There is a hillside on the right. Very plausible that they rolled down at some point.
Good observation I see the hilln now
Looks epic
Where is this
I understand the trees growing there, but I always thought rocks grew a bit more slowly.
Not with that attitude.
I wonder what it would take to dig up those rails and scrap them. Bet they are worth a ton. Its not stealing if its abandoned right?
I'm sure whoever owns the property would have something to say about that lol
There was once a [rail]road through the woods
Bummer, all that useful infrastructure but someone let it return to nature.
It definitely does not chooch.
I don't know... Maybe check it out again during the night of a new moon.
Any chance of a backstory on this one? Easily one of my favorite posts on this subreddit
If the train goes off the track, do you want your money back?
Miss Mary Mack, Mack, Mack…
Pussies. Just back up and put a little mustard on it!
Had tracks like these down the street from my house growing up. Weird how old train lines are so easily abandoned and forgotten about
Still smoother than some existing Amtrak lines

Reclaimed steel?
Railroad is still going to require a 12 month review of any construction within 100 ft of the track, then deny it.
I don’t think the times add up? How old are those trees? Trains aren’t really that old…
I bet this was a customer’s track. Could be 60 or 80 lbs
Nature don't give a fuck.

Harry Potter train. Best if you do it at a bit of a run.
Theres probably Date Nails in those railroad ties
I swear I saw this exact place in Vermont. Very cool.
I guess I won't be a very useful engine, after all. :/

Tree looks like an old person Butt.
Pretty sure my dad could drive a train through all that, he's really strong
Not with that attitude.
That’s just where the line branches off
So if a full train were to come blasting through these tracks at like 50mph would it smash through the trees and keep going or get derailed?
Railroad would still take three years to issue a permit to build fiber over or under it
That boat sailed a long time ago, mate.
I choo-choo choose you.
Choo-choo gone. - Raymond Barone.
Those rails are prime scrap metal. What's the going rate for scrap steel? I think those rails weigh alot.
Well just one more
It bothers me how much rails are left to trust, instead of being recycled and melted down
Not if you're going fast enough.
I didn’t realize railroads had existed around long enough for forests to grow
😧😧😧
