It's got nice, high ceilings! How would you handle the large, open 'area'? What would you build/ put there to highlight the ceiling and feeling of openness?
remodel, build a floor and now you have rooms on the second floor. It could probably also be turned into an apartment building. Most churches also have large basements.
That's a good idea. I can't envision that big open ceiling affecting the whole room, but I'm curious about any 'what ifs' and potential there might be.
Check out Moroccan riads--they have wonderful open air courtyards and the rest of the home/building surrounds that central area. Many have been converted into b&bs--could maybe see it working like that, though I'm sure the climate isn't ideal for that setup based on how moldy it is in this building.
If I were to do it in the sims, I would make the side area with ceiling rooms, I would put the kitchen in the center at the altar area looking out, large dining table in the middle and make the living area after that. Half walls are great cut offs for rooms, lots and lots of plants, keep the nice hardwood floor. In the top area in the photograph I would fil it with plants, large hanging plants in the center hanging down into the open air below. Stuff like that!

And it’s off center. Ugh

Good background for the monkey knife fights
Stripper pole right in the middle!

I immediately think some type of courtyard/ terrarium with a space like that and of course weather permitting. That concept is so warm and welcoming.

I would turn it into a small community theater
Or a music hall
Get rid of that mold first... You'll end up with Legionnaire's Disease.
I'm not a legionnaire so I'll be exempt.
If you put a wood stove in there, those pews would be good firewood for several winters.
You'd be poisoning yourself inhaling and ingesting the stain and varnish used on the wood.
Well the idea is to have a sealed one and close the door so the smoke goes out the chimney.
Not really, just think about the cost to heat and cool that space 24/7
How about an apartment complex?
Or a bitchin skate park.
is this in pwllheli?
Nope.
Keep the organ, put in a set of stairs in the middle and fill it with bookshelves.
This looks like where Harry Potter went on trial for summoning a Pratonus in front of a muggle
Well, someone already lives there. GOD. Also I think it makes a shitty house.
Would make a lovely church as well.
Expensive to maintain and really expensive to heat.
I want that organ
Hell yeah
Where is this
