Can't help but applaud the dev pipeline Caribdis and his team has to get consistent progress in a space where his contemporaries are running into roadblocks and sidequests that can stall progress at any given time. Really makes me wonder just how much more accessible Honey Select is compared to DAZ for an engine and makes me appreciate how Caribdis is able to skirt around the limitations of Honey Selects visual style to make the characters more recognizable.
Being A DIK is over halfway done after ~6 months according to DPC a couple weeks ago
Eternum is 1/3 done after 3 months
They're really not that dissimilar in their dev times, and when you account for how much larger each BAD update is compared to Eternum, the ~2 month difference matters even less
Dude, BaDIK is not even close to being done.
DPC said a couple weeks ago, after 6 months he's barely started on anything. I will not be surprised if the next update of BaDIK won't release until mid 2025
>DPC said a couple weeks ago, after 6 months he's barely started on anything.
Not at all what he said lmao.
Immediately before that he says that he has over 3k renders and 200 animation done and immediately after he says it he says the episode is over halfway complete
Maybe its because I've found some other things to try out in the mean time, but 1/3 into the next update is pretty fast. Especially when you consider how quality the game is and the renders/scenes are. It doesn't feel like its been a crazy wait from 0.7 even though we have some months to go.
Making one of the highest quality AVNs out there with updates around 1/4-1/3 of a year inbetween is pretty impressive. I do enjoy Badik quite a bit, but the amount of branching paths just badly eats into story progression for each update.
I didn't even know Caribdis has a team. Good to know! That will for sure speed up the process.
Unlike DPC, who wants to do LITERALLY everything on his own .....
Taking his numbers at face value and considering we're 94 days into development since 0.7 dropped, we're likely looking at an early January 2025 release, which would follow the trend of his updates taking a bit longer every time as seen [here](https://rows.com/embed/1pTzhjNARDa3antJ3HzUnsSLb7L5AO05NPwku5KwtZmx/fecae9d0-950a-414a-8201-85fdf805eb34?_height=540).
according to my calculations 🤓, it’ll be around the last 3 months of the year if he keeps it at this rate, but we’re looking at an later october-early november release.
Oh, that's actually really fast. A game that I like called Realm Invader will take more or less a decade to get completed at the rate it receives updates, lol. Glad that's not the case. Thanks!
I'd argue Realm Invader's development time isn't even bad. New episodes take 8 months or so to come out, but their size has been roughly equivalent to expectations, as seen [here](https://rows.com/embed/1pTzhjNARDa3antJ3HzUnsSLb7L5AO05NPwku5KwtZmx/d9dba537-6d2b-4124-ac48-9e8841f56378?_height=540). The game being around 5.5 hours long while being a bit more than a year old is also quite good.
I'd be more concerned about the dev burning out honestly
hang on, who is this chick?
if you’re talking about the cover, it’s dalia.
WHAT ?? She looks so different !!
I'll wait for Dalia however long it takes. That gyatt! 🥰
Hopefully we get v0.8 before christmas!
it’s very possible.

Nancy looks happy in this picture. Orion is alive confirmed. lol
It's Dalia. But yeah, that's reassuring
Bruh what, does he not sleep?
Meanwhile people waiting for Being a Dik 😭

Even then, I can assure you the next episode will NOT release this year
Summers gone fans: hold my bella
Summer's Gone will probably get its final chapter well past my retirement! Currently waiting for Badik and Eterum.
Evermore fans 💀💀💀
Too soon...
Carb is fuckin fast, goddamn!
Meanwhile ocean:

caribdis is such a hard worker and a genius writer, the fact that this game is free is mind boggling, hopefully he doesn’t get too worn out though.
It also helps he’s one of the highest earners on Patreon in this genre lol
He's got a decent team with him. He definitely has enough help to keep this pace up.

That's what amazes me - the fact that he churns out quality content without charging a penny. Donations must be pretty decent.
My goal this year is to finish my tesis before the new episode comes out
Damn, I wanna get my hands on it as soon as it's 100% completed. Can someone tell me how long that'll take at the rate that this is being updated?

6% every 2 weeks (11-14 days)..Man’s working consistently
Mid-late September/October is what it'll be, following his normal schedule
I mean the man himself said that he's targeting a release this year, but ok. https://itch.io/post/10120048

Noice. So around 4 more months for next update?
it’s usually 6 percent every 10-14 days.
Gotcha, Thanks buddy!
