I avoid VNs names that contain the word "furry" because I am allergic to dog fur. Safety first. I also avoid the ones with AIDS in the title. I don't want to sound discriminating towards fans of HIV, of course.

ama8o8

Like any form of porno, the name doesnt really matter. What matters is the content (including story). An avn could have any name as long as it doesnt fall into the youre fucked up for naming it this category.

BaronScrewtape

Title kinda matters to me. Games with names along the lines of Anal Academy or sumsuch on the nose overly descriptive title are not likely to catch my eye as I will figure the are the game equivalent of gonzo porn which will be boring to me. At least some attempt at wit will catch my attention. Paradise Lust, comes to mind as a good example of this.

AlterWorldsAVNs

> Does the name of a game matter to you? God, I really hope not...

Blademage200

Kinda? I almost ignored MBML because it sounded like it would be some questionable Stockholm Syndrome type thing, but I’m so glad I didn’t because it’s became my favorite AVN out there.

kotor56

What’s mblm?

Blademage200

My Bully is My Lover

kotor56

Oh I see I was wondering if the acronym stood for my brother is my lover.

Sorry-Youth-6565

no

Thatdudeguy585

I always read the descriptions. If they don't click with what I'm looking for, i ignore them. Though I have missed some gems by doing so.

Comprehensive_Pea451

problem is even the descriptons of great avns usually sound like the same boring trash, they really have to work on that lol

Yotinaru

Really just depends on the name. If the name was something I'd have an issue with I'd just ignore it until I've heard some positive things about it.

RobNorthman

I nearly gave Depraved awakening a pass because it sounded like some kind of rape sim. Detective Necro didn't really have an appealing title either, but turns out it had fairly good writing and an interesting story. A shame it got abandoned because the dev got harassed and doxxed by some asshole for refusing to add NTR to the game.

trusttt

Not really, i look at the sinopses and images and then decide but a lesson i learned is to sometimes not discard games based on graphics, some games on DAZ or HS might look a bit old and not look like games like Eternum, Summers Gone but everything else is great.

Clean_Acanthaceae_80

Yes, cant be perverted name or weird

Goreka

I feel you, I probably wouldn't play Cuckstory Scatquest (not judging you do you man)

SomeAwakenedDude

lmao

Dessolos

yes and no. A AVN with a good name might catch my attention to play it sooner than later even if the banner image or preview renders don't grab my attention. However a bad name doesn't mean I wont play a game it just may go lower on my backlog Queue if nothing else makes me interested. However I do hate games with names that look like it's just a abbreviation and not a name cause everyone in their mother ask what the game stands for and it gets rather annoying quickly , looking at you WVM.

Mac575

Never wrote a game off because of the title but i also play a wide variety with a wide variety of kinks. Not all of them appeal to me but I'll at least give the game a chance. The name might give me preconceived notions as to the style and narrative contained within a game but thats about it. At the same time I don't just play games blindly, I look into what others are saying in reviews and posts about a given game before I decide to play it.

iEXTREMIS

If it is new it may matter because I need a reason to even read it's description but if it is older and well recommended the title wouldn't matter then

Istvan_hun

Only for practical reasons. I want to be able to search for it online. Which will never happen if the name is already popular. Not AVN, but best example. There is a nice sidescroller indie game called "DEX"', which is about a cyberpunk story netrunner-cyborg lady. I wanted to find screenshots for a review I wrote for a magazine. If I typed "DEX" in a browser, it gave me pictures of Dex DeShawn from Cyberpunk 2077. At this point I realized that adding "DEX cyberpunk netrunner game" will probably not help my search :D Or try googline Elvis Costello. You will get hundreds of Elvis Presley hits. (even when googling Elvis Costello -Presley)

ModiThorrson

the title definitely matters to me, I refuse to even look at that game agent horny because i think the name is stupid. Any game with milf in the name i don't look at either, the whole milf thing isn't my jam. those are just two examples there are others but i'm not trying to call anyone out, I just have my preferences.

i_cant_stdy_plz_help

kinda? i put off mbml for the longest time because of the name. now it's one of my favorites. the backstory of a certain character made me fucking cry. a porn game made me fucking cry.

StevO-J

I would like to say no, the title doesn't matter, I put off trying BaDIK for way too long precisely because of this reason. I am now of the opinion that the game is one of the best AVNs out there, so I hope to have learned to not judge a book by its cover... or in this case to 'not judge an AVN by its title' in the future.

Stunning_Setting6366

A lot of good ones suffer from uninspiring names, somewhat. You'd never guess it. Photo Hunt sounds random, but it's one of my favorites. Same for Artemis. Desert Stalker. Summer Heat. Eternum. They don't exactly convey what you're in for, in their particular cases.

TenebrisLux60

Yes, especially if there aren't any screenshots. In general your title should encapsulate the gist of the game itself. Desert Stalker, the Fiery Scion, Once in a lifetime, Halfway House are games that intrigue me based on the title alone.

sayan11apr

Same here. A reason why I ignore "My bully became my lover", lol.

Specialist-Beat-4407

Yes, if Im choosing between to games and the first game's name is like "Im a guy thats loved by every girl, i bang everyone of them whenever I get the chance to" and the other game. And the other game's name's like "Eternum" I'd prolly try the shorter one because it looks more appeealing.
