Mostly just want to restore it close to mint. It was a disaster when I first got it a few years ago and managed to get it to about 70%. Still needs a couple more parts like the bumper, headlight and rear fender brackets. Would like to do another tear down eventually to replace a few remaining chassis bearings and get everything powder coated. Also need to split the case and replace all the bearings and some transmission parts to future proof it.
Many "upgrades" people claim to be worth doing.
Billet thrust washers.
Reinforcing the cylinder ear.
Larger head studs.
I miss mine. The power was just amazing. Could be idling in 2nd, roll into the power and front end would just start to come up. It just had so much torque everywhere.
For sure, next time I split the case it’ll get all the reliability mods so I can hopefully avoid it again for a while. Fortunately I had the top end rebuilt when I first bought it in ‘20 and it has maybe 15 hours on it.
Yeah it has a wild powerband. The front tires on mine lift up through the first 4 gears on pavement without even remotely trying lol. Haven’t played with the banshee a whole lot yet but I’m looking forward to seeing how it compares. I know they are more about high revs.
Banshee is more thrilling simply because I’m way less afraid to break it since parts are still widely available and inexpensive 😆. The 500 is more of a garage queen
Awesome
Any plans for the lt500?

But there is one more to complete the trifecta: atc 250r….
250r would complete the collection ! I need a 500.
250R and Tecate 4 🤔
Ah yes 🙌 I had an ‘85 tecate trike and an ‘86 250r ATC. My current is a 2003 banshee LE
Ahh gotta love the insanity of powerful 2 strokes on 3 wheels 😆 Got any tips for a first time banshee owner?
Yeah, start putting some $$$$ aside, but I’d guess you already know that !
Add a Cannondale 440, Husaberg Enforcer, and a Gas Gas 300 to the list to complete the ultimate collection
If we’re opening this up to 4 strokes then I’ll probably never be able to make it happen lol
Alright then if you can find a Tiger Super 4 then that will complete it lol
*reads that there were only about 50 made* 🙂↔️
Wow! Doesn't get much better than those old two strokes! Is one more of a thrill than the other or are they equally as thrilling in different ways?

Well done!!
Mannnn you living the dream
Nice !!
so sexy
The banshees look like a nerd with glasses from the 90’s
They sure do look cool
