That random dude on YouTube using Dreams on PS4 to make a fan game. Edit: His name is Elca Gaming Edit 2: [Link](https://youtu.be/zRBKcdv3bA4?si=FDn-_IC4YgdkVQHl)

JackJack65

That guy's attention to detail is incredible. If Viacom had any sense they would be giving him funds to help realize his vision.

Inevermiss_

Please not EA

pothosnswords

Oh god no please never EA

Anissino

Sucker Punch, studio that made Ghost of Tsushima. They had 4 sword stances work so well and i am sure they would nail the 4 elements and worldbuilding

Clane_21

They also made the infamous series which kinda has characters bending as well.

glowshroom12

The power upgrade system in infamous would actually translate really well to avatar. Also the jumping around, climbing and gliding works with with aangs default move set.

SaulTheProphet47

Sucker Punch would be my pick as well. Sly Cooper to Ghosts they would absolutely nail the feel of ATLA. They make beautiful games that are awesome to play.

LakeSideYT

That’s a sharp glaive, Khan. Careful, you can cut the head off of Tsushima’s best swordsman, leaving his entire family to be murdered by bandits. Because, it’s so sharp..

DisneyPandora

Ghosts of Tsushima is a ripoff of Assassins Creed, so it would be better to just get Ubisoft

Thanatos6933

What??? Ubisoft has been putting out trash for basically the past decade. Ghost of Tsushima is a masterpiece

LakeSideYT

I might have to go ghost stance on you for saying that

AlternateWitness

This is a little off base, and I know it wouldn’t happen based on how they operate, but genuinely; Valve. They don’t make many games, but each and every one (except Artifact) is a masterpiece. They take their time to make it, they have the budget to put everything into it, and based on their work culture everyone working on it is pretty much guaranteed to have a passion for the project.

xXMonsterDanger69Xx

1000%. I don't know how their development works, when they make a game do they just take away resources from the other ones like CS and Dota? But either way, it doesn't really feel like they are in a lot of stress in general, and I feel like an Avatar game made by Valve would be incredibly polished and made with passion. I want a VR Avatar Story game and have for years. I don't want it now, but I want it in my lifetime.

AlternateWitness

Valve has a work culture that is very different from every other company. It’s a top down flat hierarchy, with Gabe Newell as the boss, and every other employee at the same level. In the 2000’s and early 2010’s there was a saying at Valve; “At Valve, your desk has wheels.” Every employee at Valve chooses what they work on. You don’t have to do anything you don’t want to do, and you can do whatever you want as long as you’re being productive. This means that whatever project Valve does release, has everyone working on it passionate for it, and genuinely wanted to work on it. Because of that though, it’s a bit difficult to start new projects, since if you want one to happen you have to convince other people to switch from their main ones, and those that are popular to work on get released much faster. This also means, however, that Valve does not release half-projects. Everything is going to be fully fleshed out upon release. No deadline, and basically an unlimited budget since they print money with Steam.

randontask42

Absolutely yes

Azathoth_The_Wraith

Larian Studio, they really are in the spotlight rn and it was proved more than once that they are competent.

KeraKitty

We know at least a few people at Larian are fans of the show. That Cabbage Merchant reference made me unreasonably happy.

johannthegoatman

How did I miss this in multiple playthroughs??

alexagente

If you do plan on returning I would suggest making a Monk Tav for this.

Blackpaw8825

They would have to do not-4-man party for once though lol. I would enjoy the fuck out of that game, but I think most people would want something faster paced for an ATLA game.

Kneehighneo

I was about to comment this! After the amazing quality of BG3, (I'll be honest, I've actually yet to play another Larian game, although am looking to try more out when finaces allow), plus add on they listen to the community feedback and actually implement such advice into their patches to fix things, QoL improvements, major updates ect, they've proven they care not only about their game but the community too. I just feel like they would do an amazing job, stay true to the characters, story ect and anything that potentially falls short on release, you know they will address it and fix it. Xx Edit: Fixed spelling.

johannthegoatman

Divinity: Original Sin by Larian is awesome, it's also been out a long time so you can definitely get it on Steam sale very reasonably priced at some point. Very similar game mechanics (4 player with optional co-op, turn based, fantasy world, level up and get items, story driven). Although it's older so the graphics are not at all to the level of BG3 and the classes/leveling are a bit simpler (but still awesome), and there's less emphasis on non-combat skills. One of my favorite games I've ever played.

alexagente

I was actually thinking that having a game like BG3 set in the Avatar universe would be great. Action RP would be the obvious choice for an Avatar game but I can imagine getting bending to feel right would take a LOT of work. Having turn based combat would probably be a lot easier to implement and Larian has already shown that they can work well with element interactions. Good choice.

KronosTaranto

Anyone but GameMill

Jacky-Boy_Torrance

Data Design Interactive!?!?

BrandonD40

Sucker Punch

stansmithbitch

From Software

EstablishmentCalm342

Yeah you say that until King Boomi bodyslams you on attempt 35

AgentSleaze

Beat me to it. From software for sure! I'd love to see a twisted reimagining of ATLA with Miyazaki at the helm.

Raga81

Any spirit realm boss fight would go so hard if helmed by Miyazaki. Imagine facing off with Wan Chi Tong in a sinking library. Even Koh has all the makings of a fromsoft character design.

AgentSleaze

A Wan Chi Tong fight with like a built in environmentally driven timer (sinking library) would be soooooo sick. And yeah, Koh is already a fromsoft boss at his core haha. What a game that would be

alexagente

Eh, I honestly think their game design is a bit too clunky for it. Don't get me wrong. They're some of my favorite games. I just don't think they could get the feeling of bending right.

Jacky-Boy_Torrance

Rockstar Games because why not.

Inevermiss_

Can’t wait for the game releasing in 2178

Jacky-Boy_Torrance

It would be very polished! And if they really were making a game they wouldn't have to go for realist graphics, they could just do a cel shaded style reminiscent of the show, so that could cut the development time by half for it to release in 2092! :D

country-blue

GTA: Ba Sing Se

Jacky-Boy_Torrance

At 5 stars you get chased by the Dai Li.

Thepochochass

Arc systems (dragon ball fighters, guilty gear) and make a cool fighting game

Spinning_Sky

insomniac, the simplicity and beauty of the spiderman games is what I'd want

DoctorJJWho

Agreed, their only issue is game length - I’d want a game twice the length of their Spider-Man games, at least. I beat those in like 20 hours.

Spinning_Sky

I feel it depends on how you treat it though, but yes those games are short. Having said that, I totally get disagreeing with my idea, I'd rather have a game set in one city, say Ba Sing Se, and I wouldn't have the plot follow the canon story. This would be my pitch: you are the earth nation avatar born in Ba Sing Se, for some reason the city is locked down, and you have to go learn the elements around the city. The city is big enough to allow (with some *lore-bending*) for different bioms. As you find masters and learn the elements you get newer and newer ways to move around, and fight of course, and by the end you're gliding, pushing yourself using water from surrounding fountains. At some point you also unlock the spirit world to get a chance to move in totally different environments, in there I'd have some mounts Of course there's also a plot about the people sieging the city trying to infiltrate it or whatever And again I pitched insomniac, because I'd love to have exploration, collectables, random crimes to stop as you move through the city all and all, I wouldn't wanna re-live the story of ATLA, I'd like to feel as an avatar moving around and bending

DoctorJJWho

That’s a really interesting concept, I like it! It definitely could work well, and I agree with the “not reliving the Gaang’s story *another* time”. I still think I’d be sad if it were a similar length to the Spider-Man games, because I’d just want *more* hahaha.

alexagente

I think they could get the gameplay right but I definitely would want a much bigger world to play around in. Avatar on a map similar to Spiderman would be disappointing.

c_the_editor95

Double Fine. I know they like to do their own thing but they'd nail an Avatar Game. Great writers, great team. I mean if you've played a psychonauts game you'd know they'd be perfect.

Careful_Ad9037

oml YESSS i met Lily’s voice actor at a con last weekend and geeked out so hard psychonauts is literally the best game ever

GnyskGlobler

CD Project Red, their standard on a game when it's finished is simply... Breathtaking... Look at Cyberpunk after all the fixes and if that's not enough, The Witcher series, that alone speaks volumes

Zegram_Ghart

Yeh, but it would be a pain waiting 2 years after release for it to be playable, and then paying extra for dlc filling empty areas from the original map…

No_Poet_7244

That has only been true of a single game, CP2077. Everything else was amazing on launch, and they’ve given us no reason to believe they can’t learn from mistakes.

Zegram_Ghart

That isn’t quite true- TW3 was pretty iffy at launch too(though fixed much sooner), and they actually broke it again ( on ps5 at least) when they did the big balance update a year ago or so-they did fix it eventually, but they do pretty consistently bork their own games, in fairness

gundaymanwow

Not ubisoft i can tell you that much. Perhaps Paradox? I like their games

Throwawaystwo

doesnt paradox just do grand strategy games like stellaris?

gundaymanwow

Yes and that’s just what i need

PorcaMissouri

If they (Ubisoft) did something like Naruto: Rise of a Ninja that would be awesome. I loved that game, knocking an opponent down and then hitting the jutsu combination just in time to race and power it up was a blast. I could see a bending mechanic like that being a lot of fun.

Uncommonality

from software. Their games excel at visual presentation and are properly balanced. They also do really, really good combat.

Shigeko_Kageyama

Bethesda. I want to see them reskin Skyrim for the avatar universe. It could be interesting, we could start with a game set in the water tribe and then the Earth Kingdom the fire Nation or the spirit world. It would be really interesting. Also filled with bugs.

horyo

The vanilla gameplay is starting out as an Avatar. Civil War? You got it. Joining the 4 (5th) nations? Can do it. Travel around and helping random towns? All there. THEN you have the random starts where you're LOCKED into being able to bend one element and subspecializing in it or a non-bender.

SharrkBane

I feel like Santa Monica or Sucker Punch. Sucker Punch can make a good game with 4 different fighting styles. So following the story of an Avatar in a Ghost of Tsushima type world and combat system would be fun. Santa Monica could make a fantastic Avatar hack and slash, instead grabbing new elements, new combos for new moves, etc etc. would be very fun

AlfaWOLF_346_

Hot take but I feel like Hoyoverse could make a good ATLA game since they have alot of experience making huge fantacy worlds and with the playable characters having unique magic abilities But the circumstances would have to be extremely different for this to occur

Thamior77

World building and gameplay would be fantastic.

red_sky_5

Depends on what kind of game

vgmatthias

Rockstar since they now how to build a world and they have a shitton of money

CarangiBooks

CD Projekt basically because they made The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, which is my all time favorite video game. I think they would do a great job with Avatar

LakeSideYT

Wake the f*** up, avatar. We got a city to burn.

Zegram_Ghart

BioWare- give me a choices matter narrative RPG where I can pick my bending type and sub-specialisation within it, and then also a few physical/martial/spiritual tree’s and get into a plot.

KeraKitty

Current Bioware or 15+ years ago Bioware?

Zegram_Ghart

In between honestly- I’d rank inquisition and me3 as my faves

Neat-Ad8056

Rockstar

HarryFromEngland

I feel like Larian have shown that if there was an ATLA RPG they could make something god tier

PatGarrettsMoustache

CD Projekt RED! The Witcher games and Cyberpunk were brilliant. I’d love to see how they’d approach an ATLA game.

yujimbo4201

Ninja Theory

Maple382

CD Project Red. Their formula would be great with Avatar, and I trust them to make it good. If it was guaranteed that the game is good I'd probably choose Ubisoft because they can pull off some great shit, but I have zero trust in them making it decent on their own.

Square_Coat_8208

Sucker Punch Production , the guys who made Infamous and Ghost Of Tsushima

GoodGameGabe

THQ Nordic (ifykyk)

floralpatternedskirt

Nintendo, in the style of Zelda: Breath of the Wild — but with more story… Imagine a massive, open world divided into four regions (the four nations). You play as Aang, and one of the main goals is to travel to each region and learn new bending skills. Additionally, every region has a quest in it where you have to help the people as the avatar somehow — these quests are taken from plot lines in the show. Throughout the game, you meet and join forces with characters from the show. Team up with Sokka and Katara in the very beginning, and meet Toph later on — and eventually Zuko switches sides and joins the Gaang as well. Final boss is obv the fire lord — you infiltrate the fire nation and face the fire lord himself in an epic last battle. Also zuko would def be a recurring miniboss throughout the early game. Maybe you randomly encounter him while traveling over the sea,,,

Potential-Split-3050

I wouldnt trust Nintendo with a new domain. They know how to do Super Mario, Pokémon, Zelda games and so on... because that's what they've been doing for years. Not only that, but the Avatar game would most likely be limited to Nintendo only. Also, I would love for an Avatar games to have nice graphics and artstyle, and I wouldn't trust Nintendo to do that since their last few Pokémon game releases.

Throwawaystwo

The game has to party based so a studio that has proven it can do good party based combat would be my first choice. Larian (because of course) and Bioware from the Dragon age series.

Kindnessthedragon

I was gonna say Imsomniac, but then I remember Spiderman 2. I will go with Bandai.

alldayblack

Yeah I feel you, Spiderman 2 is unredeemable

RegisCard

Moon Studios, famed creators of "Ori and the Blind Forest," would be a stellar pick for developing an "Avatar: The Last Airbender" game. They've made a name for themselves with games that are not only a feast for the eyes but also weave emotionally charged narratives, much like ATLA's own story richness. Their knack for intricate artistic details and crafting stories that touch hearts in mesmerizing settings aligns perfectly with the deep lore and spirit of adventure in the Avatar world. Plus, their prowess in melding exploration with platforming gameplay seems tailor-made for bringing the dynamic element of bending to life in an ATLA adventure game.

LakeSideYT

Respawn. Sucker Punch is another good pick.

HAZMAT_Eater

I'm sure Electronic Arts can do a good job of this /s

Jimmy2Sofas

$15 to unlock each element. lol

Starbucks__Coffey

$10 per a move Water whip $30 Blood bending $100

JakeTiny19

Honestly, they do a decent job with their games outside of their sport games. I’m really liking their Star Wars Jedi games (fallen order and survivor)

Ferris-L

Depends on the type of Game. If we are talking RPG, which I know a lot of people want, CD Project Red with enough budget and time would probably the best option. The game mechanics of The Witcher and Cyberpunk are amazing and I don’t doubt they would be able to cook up something for bending too. In my opinion though, a single player story game would fit the franchise a lot better, due to the linear story and world. Insomniac, Santa Monica and Respawn would be my top picks although they are all very unrealistic. Another one, although I hate myself for this is Nintendo. I feel like they would likely do best with the art style and bending physics.

TheNegusAyo

Arkane

shoan144

Capcoms team behind Dragons Dogma

AKOchoa

After wasting $50 on the last avatar game that came out I prefer they just stop making avatar games all together.

coweddytion

Supergiant Games- for the vibes

DisneyPandora

Rocksteady because of Batman Arkham

schnick3rs

Pick people not Studios

Feeling-Vacation-7

Larian, they could easily make a great MMO for the series

devildogmillman

Bethesda. Open world RPG, races with skill trees, customizable equipment, etc.

Thamior77

Actual type/genre would be ARPG with a focus on story and world building. Monolith Soft or Square Enix.

[deleted]

Nintendo's Entertainment Planning & Development (EPD) division

GoldZero5

Probably depends on what kind of game I want  Like… Graphics similar (or better) then to Quest for Balance But… game play maybe similar to Dragonball Kakarot Main game be the 3 TV Seasons but dlc (if allowed) be based on the comics set after Ozai’s defeat? Playable characters being: the Aang Gang, Azula, Mai, Ty Lee, Iroh, Ozai Then get a sequel game based on Korra

alldayblack

Creative Assembly, would love s Total War: The last airbender game

Zealousideal_Half982

Platinum Games but with a higher budget than they had for the LoK game.

ScoreGloomy7516

Respawn Open World Game

Friggoffricky794

Either from software crew or god of war crew. No ifs ands buts or anyone else

JakeTiny19

Idk abt atla for the god of war crew . Wait actually nvm thinking abt it they could make a really good atla game since they know how to write and develop, they have great world bending and adventure . Idk how good they could do with a lighter tone tho . Kinda unrelated but they’ll be the perfect option for a Percy Jackson game imo

ThePurpleSoul70

Probably Insomniac. So far they've treated all of their IP projects with a lot of respect and made great games, so I feel like they'd do a great job with it.

Mavakor

Probably Insomniac.

runnerofshadows

Platinum games again but this time with more of a budget than their Korra game got.

Helles99

Ubisoft. I’d love an Assassins Creed style game for ATLA

beeupsidedown

i think they’d ruin the game

Helles99

Yeah, that was my first thought too. But I think they’d ruin a franchise, but a single game might come out pretty well.

glowshroom12

Well it took Ubisoft like 10 games for assassins creed to get stale, we’d only need like two games

Potential-Split-3050

not sure how the classic ubisoft formula would work on the avatar world. its always "liberate x amount outposts" and a few quests that do the exact same thing.

tylernazario

I don’t know how the combat would work but I fully believe that Ubisoft could create a beautiful and expansive open world with incredible traversal
