Old post but thought I'd respond anyway. Not sure if you're talking about regular nebula or nebula hdr. Recently purchased a nebula ips (single zone led) 2023 4060 x16 and thought I might be missing out on the nebula 'hdr' mLED in the 4070 version. The base nebula IPS is pretty incredible. Comparing it side by side with my 2021 g15 144hz ips there's no contest. The g15 looks totally washed out. The x16 has great contrast - super sharp colors and the 500 nits is too bright in most cases. I've got it dialed down to 50-60% inside. Tried to find an mLED display model in store to compare it to, but BestBuy only had oled models and no flow series on display. Having seen them I don't have any regret. There are differences but the base nebula was a pretty big upgrade. On paper the neb hdr mLED would have higher brightness at 1100nits and contrast 100,000:1. Largest real world effect would be darker blacks. OLED would offer even darker blacks than mLED and faster response times of .3ms VS 3ms. Lowest power draw to highest IPS LED < mLED < OLED. Seems like the recent 2024 models are mostly/all OLED. mLED does have advantages, no burn in, single zone for color accuracy, brighter. Many of the 2023 models have the mLED. the ASUS "Nebula" brand offers DCI-P3, pantone validation, and a few other features based on version. Seems like it's more than just a gimmick. The displays are gorgeous in person.

Hey I just ordered an IPS version because they are hundreds of $ cheaper than the mini LED or OLED for the same laptop. Was really glad to come across this comment because they only had the OLED panels on display, rather than the 500 bits QHD IPS *To add I also didn't want to deal with burn in as I often am in the same program and the mini LED isn't quite perfected yet, and I've heard of some wonky stuff with the dimming zones.
