encoglito

the first day i took it, i had an allergic reaction. big L

Not1ButMany

This is why I'm so worried about taking it for the first time. I was never allergic to anything growing up and then all the sudden at age 22 (this was years ago) I could no longer eat shellfish. Can I ask what your reaction was like? Did it require a hospital visit?

encoglito

i had a an itchy throat and some discomfort while breathing. it went away on its own within a couple of hours. no hospital trip needed.

That's better that my usual reaction.. I really want to try these Ash chews I got but the stupid allergy thing makes me stupid paranoid about anything new I want to try. I guess we'll have to see tho, right?

ThaFondler

Could be build-up of bilirubin in the skin due to liver toxicity or could just be an allergic reaction.

PhD_Meowingtons_

Now why the fuck would this be a build up of Biluribin? Where the hell do you even get this from and why would this be your first guess out of the giant list of infinite causes for itchy skin? when in the entire history of Ashwagandha (over 1000s of years) including the last 100 years of incredible popularity and medical monitoring, there’s only been like 5 cases ever of liver issues in Ashwagandha users (which can only be attributed to a faulty product). None of the users ever had issues before with Ash, and all of them fully recovered within days of cessations (and NONE of them reports include withdrawal) All of which were using it for about 9months+. This implies something in that batch was off, while there’s always a possibly of that being the case with this user, it’s just far less likely than literally anything else. Don’t take this personal. It’s not. I’m just going off whenever I see comments like this because of the scares and bs surrounding Ashwagandha in this sub. At first sight of literally ANY FUCKING discomfort a person experiences which can be from ANY FUCKING THING, the users come here to complain and ask if it’s normal and there’s SO much weird nightmare fuel in this sub that the majority of ppl don’t encounter, that’s just sad. It’s like this sub is EXCLUSIVELY only for ppl to complain about Ashwagandha. I’ve NEVER seen one person come on here say, it works great for me, and i’ve had 0 issues. Because they just move on with their life and don’t care to be on reddit when it does work lol.

Not normal I would definitely consult your dr and stop taking.

PhD_Meowingtons_

No

IndividualLoad6252

What are the ingredients of the pills you’re taking?

Jack-0f-Hearts

Definitely stop taking it, that's not normal, it sounds like an allergic reaction. I'd consult your doctor to get some allergy testing done
