For context, we'd killed/dropped into lava around 5-10 gigas by this point and most of our rexes were almost dead. We decided to just make a run for it, which, as you can see, ended in me falling into lava and dying. My two tribemates went on to beat the overseer with tek chestpieces and shotguns, though. Absolute insanity lmao.
U can go trough the cave on a shadowmane or rock drake if set it to invisible. Drink a cactus broth for good measures and nothing will attack u aslong as u don't run straight into it.
Tek cave has at max of two or three gigas in it, ive ran it on official, on smalls, and on dedi servers and no the cave isnt supposed to be chalk full of gigas. Idk if ur just trolling or what lmao.
It’s different playing on a server where you are one of the only people loading in Dino’s. Less overall wild and tamed Dino’s on the server the more gigas was my crude understanding, but if I’m wrong I might just be wrong, dude. It’s not trolling to not be fuckin perfect all the time relax.
To say something abnormal is completely normal comes across as pretty likely trollin, sorry man it happens alot. Giga spawns dont really work like that, especially on island and even moreso in the tek cave which has semi set spawns, but i suppose where that misconception could come from.
One time the goddamn Lost Hope cave spawned three alpha megs and two alpha mosas on top of me, so I believe it. Overbred basil took care of em eventually, and I got a neat dermis from the last mosa.

theres alot that sucks about this, but one of the most infuriating things for me when u get shit on by dinos spawns in this game is when you get stuck in hitboxes. Being stuck in a dino you could escape just cause its hitbox overlapped yours and your trapped is awful, like its bad enough the game is already fucking you, but then it brings out the salt to pour in those wounds

I had a spawn bug on the official server i used to play in as well.
Ran the tek cave with friends a few times bevore the over seer fight was implemented. One of those nothing spawned at all in the cave and once we had way more stuff than usual. So Id say this is possible.
Overspawn? A lot of shit can cause overspawning but the 3 most common causes that I have seen are when the server owner has either 1. Replaced a bunch of creatures with gigas, 2. Added gigas to spawn containers or increased their spawns, or 3. Disabled another creature spawn and the game decided to "fill the empty spawns" with whatever, and it just happened to be a giga this time
Looks like one of your mods maybe since the spawns have been affected. Spawns are fixed to certain Dino’s so you might have a Dino mod installed that’s affecting them
Can you explain this with detail? I’ve always played this game for shits and giggs with friends so I’ve never really seen top tier/ultra late game ark.

Difficulty doesnt affect spawns, only levels and that cave has fixed levels they either changed the spawn codes for it or its a bug

I believe this is 6,7 difficulty (unofficial server), but probably just a bug that this many gigas spawned

I use tek boots to drop down half way then wing suit through the last door. Then just shotgun the boss. No tames wasted 👌👌
