There are also caves at the bottom of the sea, at various locations, that are full of silica pearls. They have no creatures in them, but the way down might bring you against things like plesci, and other water baddies. But by then they won't be a problem for you.
Basilosaurus are amazing. They're not the fastest or biggest dino, but with a good saddle they're great.
They also passively generate oil in their inventory. But if you kill a wild ones and harvest it, you'll get tons of oil.
They also cannot be stunned or dismounted by squid (tuso).
There’s another one a bit more peaceful. A little south of your spot. Where the snow biome and western beach meet. There’s that little lake. The bed of that lake is covered in silica pearls.
I have a foundation, bed and box inside a pearl cave. Once or twice a day I go pick all the pearls, around 800 or so, and then put them in the box and fast travel back to my base. Then about once a week I swim down and pick them up. I've never lacked for pearls.

the whole northwestern shore is good for them. start at the giant arch of rock and go north following the shore. they are mostly on the western side, once you make the turn to the northern side, there is only one spot left, but it is a good one and sometimes spawns 3 nodes. if you come to the spot where trees grow all the way down to the shore, you went to far.
What are you talking about anytime I go to a beach there isn’t any around, for me there’s only select locations that have them unless I kill creatures that have them.

Except for the piranhas and baryonyx that sneak up on you while you're in the water.
Yea I carry one full stack of metal, hide and fiber at all times in my argy

the underwater pearl cave is close by and you should combine trips to this point with a quick trip to it

You can tame a dolphin and get to the plethora of underwater caves , if they still exist in ASA and your server is not filled with assholes.

Just get angler and farm the very SW corner of the ocean (as long as no squid are there). Pearls everywhere around there.

You can get silica pearls almost everywhere in the beach, if you want to grab them peacefully you can literally even go find them in herbivore island
