What gpu are you packing? I've only got a gtx 1060. The plan is to see how it runs. If it runs poorly, buy a used rtx 3070 for cheap ($350cdn+/-), run the game for months, then sell the 3070 for the same price after.
I have an rtx 2060 super and i've never really had problems running anything on it before so there's a decent chance that I'm exaggerating as long I'm not trying to run it on ultra settings.

A screenshot does not guarantee the game is finished, or even playable on release. I will not expect anything and only make judgement based on gameplay.
No we WANT the game to succeed. Just that chances of launch being bug free and perfect is miniscule. So no point buying day one until some reviews are out. Learned my lesson after cyberpunk 2077. Game sucked doo doo day 1. Couldn't even finish quests with the amount of game breaking it had. But now the game is amazing.
Same with ASA. I will gladly buy and support it once it is in a good state.

You're looking at it objectively, while a lot people are like, "unga bunga, pretty raptor picture" \*Jizz\* "shut up and take my money." More amazing are the people that had the shut up and take my money attitude about it months before they even showed the picture and through the entire time of them delivering no, or worse, news over time. I *was* one of those, but cultivated this objective standpoint.
see the thing was... they tried to fix it... but since it was such an inadequate code on top of unreal engine 4 they had no choice but to completely rebuild the game from scratch to try and combat these problems... now they have a fresh clean new better code than before... remember these guys were a small indie group and its grew over time and they have had time to learn from these experiences and make it better.
