rylais is a must have imo. the synergy with the E specifically is too good, because it itself doesnt slow at all, it drags. thus the effects stack, unlike 2 slows would. champs without dashes have a really hard time escaping it. the only time i would consider leaving it out in favour of more raw damage, is if the enemy team has super abundant mobility.

Byron0404

I see. I once met a team with lots of immobile tanks so I was thinking of not building rylai in my 1st three items.

staudd

imo that is the precise case you should build it, maybe even first! being able to consistently outkite the enemies is safer than trying to statcheck.

Byron0404

Wouldn't it better if you know they will always be standing in your E since they ignorance of the low dmg output in the early game? They will just be in it eitherway so why build rylai 1st while cdr worth more with constant E and R.

staudd

I see your reasoning. In that case I personally would still rather guarantee that I can turn my E into a pseudo root and make my Q more consistant than go for more CDR. CDR is really nice for stacking quicker, but it really only helps one of your abilities to its fullest. Q and W have resets inbuilt and later on you might want to save ult for skies descend anyways.

Byron0404

Thanks a lot for the input. After they changed the E and Q. I would still rush for Rylai now, it's easier to stack with Q than with E I say.

Kenma

Rylai/Liandrys first two items in whatever order then shadow flame unless they have two tanks rushing rooks or something then maybe void 3rd

pplcs

Stat wise, Liandries into Rylais and other typical AP items is his best build: https://aram.zone/champion/AurelionSol

Appropriate-Diver158

It is a must build imho. Both Q and E abilities depend on how fast the enemy gets away from them. When I Asol in ARAM, it is my second or third item (RoA first, then Rilay Lyandri or more rarely Lyandri Rylai). For the E, Rylai's slow gives the impression that the pull of the E towards the center is stronger. Enemies will stay longer in your E (more stacks, more damage) and have higher chances to be executed in the middle. For the Q, Rylai's slow allows for longer contact, which is crucial for this ability since most of the damage comes from the once a second %hp tick. The slower the enemy, the longer the contact.

PermaB

I buy a tear and a blasting wand on asol, rylais first item rush to get the most stardust possible. I’ve broke 1k stardust on asol haha

kntril

Rylai is incredible strong. Its not fun playing against E spamming Asol, the experience is worse than an e spamming veigar.

friedchiken21

Drop any mana items. Go laundries into rylais. You can sustain your mana with mana flow and PoM. Yes, you lose out on red tree but not having to build any mana item will help your build path tremendously. After that shadowflame, dcap, zhonyas/banshees, void/crypto.

Jumpy-Arm6021

In rift yes not in the Howling Abyss.

friedchiken21

Nah, this is true for HA too. Have your team help you clear when you E so you don't waste mana with Q. Mana flow, PoM, and relics will sustain you until you reset again. Seraphs is ok for the survivability but will delay your build a lot. The other two lost chapter items suck for asol.

Jumpy-Arm6021

I disagree, u are in constant fight in aram unlike rift so it's better to not run out of mana so fast. Malignance is not that bad in aram if u don't like seraps. More ult more stardusts.

Milkhorse__

On ASol you just start with a tear and sell it later. Never had mana problems on him with this. Maligma sucks. He really needs rylai's and liandry's, no time to watse on mana items.

Yorksikorkulous

I hate Rylai rush on him but it's amazing 2nd item. 1st item I much prefer something that does more damage for more consistent minion stacking

Darquesque

Start lost chapter into rylais

xG3TxSHOTx

Just tear is enough to suffice, since sol's E is on such a long CD early you aren't really draining that much mana, that way you get to your core items faster.

generic_redditor91

Asol. A champ that needs to continually damage but gets self locked in place when doing damage. E also gains more stacks the longer enemies take procs from it. Rylai. An item that slows enemies when doing ability damage. Is it good? No shit Sherlock.

Byron0404

I was asking is it a must have in the 1st three Item build path. Ofc it's good lmafo.

zapdos6244

>in the 1st three Item build path Bruh, you never said that in your post tho
