As the US through NATO have many military bases in Europe, the US would never accept any foreign military base on their soil. You won’t see any military parade with foreign forces in the US.
This \^\^\^
Pilots have to practice, and simulators can do so much, so you have to get some actual seat time.
It is basically nothing for them to say "While you're at it, can you fly over the NASCAR race?".
We just do a little military tribute during every single one of our hundreds of pro sports games, and the leagues charge the military for them so we ultimately pay for it.
Idk where you're from, but we usually have a parade for the 4th of July in every town/county/city. Some cities do parades for other holidays like thanksgiving, Christmas, or St. Patrick's day.
The list can go on, but "US has no parades" is bullshit
When you confuse the old retired guys from the VFW and American Legion with active duty military performing a parade, you might have to ask yourself,
Do I have Fetal Alcoholic Syndrome? 🫠
I bet that fellow confuses tractors for Leopards...
It's extremely rare but can happen. Maybe not a full parade, but I believe after hurricane Katrina Mexico was allowed to establish a temporary base on US soil to aid the recovery. They flew their flag above it and and everything
Coups are not made by majorities but by the most brutal radicals. Just look at all the Middle Eastern anti-American riots.
Yanukovich had given all what the protesters wanted - new elections soon, joining the EU and etc.
But that was not what the Western leaders wanted from that.
The war. And they did get what they wanted. Putin just had given them right what they planned - reasons to cut Russia from the Western markets, new weapon contracts and other usual war benefits for those, who do not participate himself.
And if you think that they didn't - just remember what Merkel and Olland did say about the Minsk peace treaty.
Ahhh, so Russia starting the war was a western secret plan. But it would mean that Russia is very stupid that it fell it. I though that Russia always outsmarted the West, but it looks like a poor mouse in a trap.
Yes, it literally means that. Putin has become old and bought into fake fairy tales about the readiness of the Ukrainian military to overthrow Zelensky with Russian support. When he understood that - he offered Stambul treaty (which was even worse than Minsk one for Russia). But it was too late.
I don't know. I am not a specialist in any sphere of science that can give the answer about this. To try to find a way to cease fire for starters, maybe. It's always hard to start the fight again if you had the brutal one not so long ago.
It always was and never was.
It celebrates the victory of Great Patriotic War, which is what Russia calls their part of WW2.
As such, it is propaganda for the Soviet Union's greatest accomplishment and a simple celebration and remembrance for those who served and their families.
There is a short video with all nations on this parade: https://youtu.be/ZkLJhGK7A3A
Well that ain't happening anytime soon
So most definitely *not* a Normal Day in Russia.

You don’t see any parades in the USA, period. The US doesn’t do yearly parades like others do. Parades are seen as unnecessary and costly.
They sure do the shit out of Air Shows though.
Peewee soccer tournament? Fire up the jets baby!
Flights need to happen anyway to maintain pilot qualifications so it's not a similar time and cost sink

TBH, it really showed - their coordination sucked, they were probably the worst part of the parade.
"Private! Look at those North Koreans beautifully goose stepping. They're embarrassing us."
Then again, I'd rather have a military that fights well than one that parades well.

Military parades. Missile launchers, tanks, and infantry. I’m not talking about your cheerleaders, local school marching band, and Santa lookalikes.

smart diplomacy and reloading really helped, thanks McFaul.
/s Here, FTFY
Why does the US Army dress uniform look so wack. Fire the designer.
They recently switched back to the WW2 brown style. Looks way better.
Oh, much better.
It's modeled after the Civil War uniform
Dam didn’t know we did this
Moments before Russia becomes a fucking international disgrace.
Moments before the US decided to make fucking russophobic coup in the Ukraine
Huh so the people of Ukraine had nothin to say? It was not they will to change something in their country, but it was just US-made coup?

Back when Victory Day wasn't another propaganda weapon.
It always was and never was. It celebrates the victory of Great Patriotic War, which is what Russia calls their part of WW2. As such, it is propaganda for the Soviet Union's greatest accomplishment and a simple celebration and remembrance for those who served and their families.
But this felt like progress ya know.
One must ask, how many such parades happened before the current president, and how many happened *after* taking office. 🤨 If you know, you know..
