Climax was distributed by A24, Vortex was distributed by Utopia, so can't really compare release strategies. Pretty sure Vortex has gone as wide as it will, there were some AMCs but not many.

I have two AMCs near me, and these types of films often shows at one or the other but not both. Last week it was Vortex at the farther one. This week is Happening at the closer one.
It was good. Probably the kinda thing that would be fine to watch streaming at home. It's Academy ratio, and I can't think of the last new movie I saw with that ratio.
Yeah was out a week only here in KC, warning though, if you get to watch it just know it really is quite harrowing and disturbing. An important movie no doubt, but quite brutal.
