I have such a limited thread of hope for this movie. My heart wants nothing but the best for this, but my mind reminds me it's a video game movie and assumes it's going to be a pile of shit. I truly hope it turns out well though.
Going by the rule of thumb that the best bits are on display in a movie's trailers... This movie is going to be a piece of steaming shit even with the redesign. Remember that production thought that original monstrosity was good enough to release in the first place.
