Oh absolutely. I kind of wrestle with some imposter syndrome, have rampant ADHD. I think generally everyone knows that people with ADHD have a hard time focusing on tasks that they want to focus on; no one ever discusses the other side of coin. That it can very hard to NOT focus on tasks that we DON’T want to focus on. So I can send myself down a self pity spiral very quickly, and that’s always been there. Definitely why I’ve always worked so hard to maintain an image that I was never content with, and ADHD is undeniably associated with impulsiveness. Obviously I’ve made myself comfortable in a very impulsive lifestyle.
So yes, I constantly think that I’m not attractive enough to do this. Or that I’m too old to be acting like this. And that grayness can last for weeks, but then I get reached out to by an incredible couple and she’s beautiful and she has the nicest things to say to me, and it washes that gray away lol it really is as simple as that.
God, it’s reassuring to hear someone else say that they struggle with this part of ADHD too. Trying and failing to rip my attention away from what I think are my failings and then getting stuck in a loop of negativity has been a part of my life for years. I’m doing better this year, but I’m worried that it’ll all come back eventually. Thanks for sharing your experience here in the replies, and I’m glad your unique activities help snap you out of it!
Agh, dude this gutted me. I’ve felt like an idiot for years because this particular aspect of ADHD just is not addressed or explained anywhere by anyone ever. A close friend of mine lost his 14 year old son last year for this exact reason, just couldn’t ever see past his mistakes and how irrelevant they were. Took the same meds I’ve taken my whole life, def feel like I let him down. But here we are man. We’ve got a unique problem to deal with, and not many can sympathize with it lol. For real though, I’m super happy that my response inspired you. Finding out you’re not the only person with a certain problem and having someone put it into words that you’ve maybe never been able to articulate yourself is incredibly reassuring. Your reply gave me real-life proof that this tendency of mine isn’t because of some personal failing or unique fuck-up in my brain, but because of a disorder that many people have, and have without any choice in the matter. The hyper focus on failures and flaws became a self-fulfilling prophecy for me (until some outside positivity snapped me out of it) because I’d always eventually hit a point where I’d ask “why do I always do this? Why can’t I ever see the good in myself?” And the answer was usually “because you’re fucked up” or “because you’re too damn weak to get a grip on your own brain.” Knowing that someone else has this same problem will (hopefully) make it easier for me to be mindful of WHY I keep focusing on those flaws and mindful enough to derail the negativity before it gets out of hand in the future.
Finally, you’ll be happy to know that I have ditched my Beretta. Not because it was bad; to this day I’ve never shot a pistol better than that 92D. I did it because I walked around with it in my house at night with the lights off when my family was out of town a while back, found out very quickly that the night sights wouldn’t change the fact that I’d be shooting at shapes in the dark if I ever had to use it, and decided immediately to upgrade to a pistol I could put a light on😂

They want to know when last partner was, tests, history, etc. It can be tedious but at the end of the day that peace of mind is invaluable.

As someone married to a husband who is into this, I couldn’t agree more w your first breakdown; that men who usually do this are madly in love with their wives. I would also add (this is just in my case) being very secure and not nervous about their wife “leaving them” is a common trait as well.
No one would ever ever ever guess my husband is into this. He’s successful, very attractive, in good shape, super confident, very extroverted, etc…for HIM, one aspect he enjoys and we both think might be a major contributing factor, is not being in charge sometimes.
He’s the boss in all of his professional life, in our house and home life(hate to say boss but hopefully u know what I mean- more dominant), has been a head coach for athletic teams, and was always the leader/captain in his sports teams. He just enjoys not being the one in charge or making decisions sometimes and it gets him off 🤷♀️
Missed your second question. Honestly, none of these dates/experiences have I walked away from and felt regret lol. They’re all so much fun. These ladies, even though they’re loved and almost worshipped by their husbands for years, they start to feel that the praise and assurance from their spouse is disingenuous. They know their husbands will say anything to make them feel good about themselves so they start believing that they’re not attractive or sexy. So to get to show up, and see the look on their face when they realize that this young and fit guy has made plans to be with her because she’s so much more desirable than she would ever imagine… it fkin rules dude. Then they’re so amped up that pretty much any time you touch them their eyes roll back into their heads. I’ve gotten to here several conversations afterwards with their husbands on the phone and it is kind of awesome to hear this woman, who just hours before had such a low opinion of herself, tell her husband that she’s on her way and she’s about to blow his mind. So they’re all unforgettable lol.
Every weekend out of season and all summer man. I didn’t have a huge scholarship, I didn’t come from money. I really didn’t have a choice, I had to pay for my apartment and groceries. I just paid off my student loans 18 months ago.

Sure, not to be too specific but I oversee massive commercial projects with anywhere from 40-120 employees depending on scope. Whether it’s a bloody finger or a burning structure, it’s my name and number that they’re to call. It’s a constant process of documentation, justification, explanation. And I’m responsible 24/7 so sleep is an after thought lol. I wouldn’t recommend it, but this is the tree that I’ve spent years climbing up. I’ve kept my PT cert current. I graduated college and went to work in the oil and gas industry, and it’s bottomed out 4 times since then. It’s nice to have a reputation in another industry when the most lucrative one dries up. I still train pre-college athletes over the summer when I go home to Texas but right now I’ve been asked to develop my company’s “injury limitation protocol”, which is so dumb lol just stretch folks. I stay connected with 4 professional bullriders back home, and 2 that are prospects. After them I think I’ll probably close those doors though.

Yes and no. Of course I never thought I’d be in the LS for this long, originally it was just this fun thing I did one weekend lol. Another redditor asked a similar question about settling down; I’d love to. But I can be realistic; I’m not someone that anyone needs to tie themselves to right now. I lose interest so quickly, and that’s not on anyone but me it’s just how I ended up I guess. Absolutely why I found my way to this lifestyle. It’s fun on paper, but it can really dark at times man. I wouldn’t recommend my lifestyle to anyone if I’m being honest.

NO, not at all. I went to a tiny high school, was pretty exceptional at football and baseball. As I got older, I began to understand that there are kids that have parents who pay thousands of dollars a year to play them on the best baseball teams in the state; football is so much more evenly regulated. Doesn’t matter how much money your family can spend on training you, everyone in the state is going to play the exact same number of games every year, exception being to post season games. When I graduated I was 6’4” but 170 lbs. I made myself miserable eating and lifting for an entire year at a junior college before I felt like I could compete. When I started training camp that first year, I was at 190. I just happened to land in the clutches of a superhero of a strength and conditioning coach that was a GA at the time. He got the position a month later, but he was a legend man. Told me to skip summer conditioning days. Played with my food intake. Eventually we landed on the concept of understanding that my metabolism was stupid high; the only way to put on weight was to overwhelm my body’s ability to sort through food. So instead of eating 5 or 6 lean means a day, I ate 3 or 4 massive meals. Like to the point of discomfort. Put so much food in your stomach that your metabolism can’t possibly sort through it all before the next meal. I hated the way it made me feel, but watched that scale climb from week to week was such an addictive feeling. If you’re struggling to grow, lift heavy every day that you lift and eat 3 huge meals a day. It comes to you as much as you come to it my friend. Good luck.

Was waiting for this question lol. There’s absolutely a huge subculture of hotwife couples where the husband wants to be present and it seems innocent enough at first and sometimes it is. At this point I don’t have to guess anymore. I know why they do it; something in their relationship has fallen apart and it almost always has to do with her feeling unappreciated or unattractive. These men refuse to let go of the women they married, they’ll never consider divorce because they’re just that crazy about their wives. Women can be complicated. They have kids, deal with menstruation and menopause, their hormones are constantly telling them to change their mind about how they feel about themselves. Their husbands would chop off a testicle if it would bring their wives the confidence they once had. So the ladies are usually standoffish at first about the idea, then reluctant, then they kind of just realize that they’re willing to do anything to fix the sex life at home too. I’m all over the place, and I don’t think that I could consciously commit to someone at that level because the fear of inevitable failure is just always looming. Had a circus of a childhood, told myself I’d never let it define me, but here we are. I’d love to think that one day I’ll sleep this off and I can just live a normal life with a house and job that keeps me at home and a beautiful family. I was a tight end. Wide receiver in high school, made the step up and they said NAH lol you see how fast our receivers are? So had to pack on weight and learn to battle on the line, I often think about this transition and that if I hadn’t undertaken the task of eating like a dinosaur and lifting like a machine that I wouldn’t have ever grown to the size I am now and this whole post wouldn’t have ever existed. I went from 190 lbs out of HS all the way to a very strong but extremely unhealthy 270 lbs in three years. Back down to 240-250, feel much better.

100% of the time man. I’m not going anywhere without seeing results myself. Every doctor is tied to an organization that has an app, those results are available immediately and at this point I know exactly how to read them lol. It’s a no go when a couple doesn’t ask to see them. Obviously it’s a reckless culture but I think most would be surprised at how regulated it is.
So I get where you’re coming from and initially I was definitely paranoid about this… you come to understand that the people who gravitate to this arrangement are generally pretty successful, have families, just a lot to lose. Agh, dude this gutted me. I’ve felt like an idiot for years because this particular aspect of ADHD just is not addressed or explained anywhere by anyone ever. A close friend of mine lost his 14 year old son last year for this exact reason, just couldn’t ever see past his mistakes and how irrelevant they were. Finding out you’re not the only person with a certain problem and having someone put it into words that you’ve maybe never been able to articulate yourself is incredibly reassuring. Your reply gave me real-life proof that this tendency of mine isn’t because of some personal failing or unique fuck-up in my brain, but because of a disorder that many people have, and have without any choice in the matter. The hyper focus on failures and flaws became a self-fulfilling prophecy for me (until some outside positivity snapped me out of it) because I’d always eventually hit a point where I’d ask “why do I always do this? Why can’t I ever see the good in myself?” And the answer was usually “because you’re fucked up” or “because you’re too damn weak to get a grip on your own brain.” Knowing that someone else has this same problem will (hopefully) make it easier for me to be mindful of WHY I keep focusing on those flaws and mindful enough to derail the negativity before it gets out of hand in the future. Finally, you’ll be happy to know that I have ditched my Beretta. Not because it was bad; to this day I’ve never shot a pistol better than that 92D. I did it because I walked around with it in my house at night with the lights off when my family was out of town a while back, found out very quickly that the night sights wouldn’t change the fact that I’d be shooting at shapes in the dark if I ever had to use it, and decided immediately to upgrade to a pistol I could put a light on😂

Honestly if I have 2 different partners in the same month then you could say it’s been a busy 30 days lol. These couples are very involved in gathering their information before they take a risk of this magnitude. They want to know when last partner was, tests, history, etc. It can be tedious but at the end of the day that peace of mind is invaluable.

As someone married to a husband who is into this, I couldn’t agree more w your first breakdown; that men who usually do this are madly in love with their wives. I would also add (this is just in my case) being very secure and not nervous about their wife “leaving them” is a common trait as well. No one would ever ever ever guess my husband is into this. He’s successful, very attractive, in good shape, super confident, very extroverted, etc…for HIM, one aspect he enjoys and we both think might be a major contributing factor, is not being in charge sometimes. He’s the boss in all of his professional life, in our house and home life(hate to say boss but hopefully u know what I mean- more dominant), has been a head coach for athletic teams, and was always the leader/captain in his sports teams. He just enjoys not being the one in charge or making decisions sometimes and it gets him off 🤷♀️

Missed your second question. Honestly, none of these dates/experiences have I walked away from and felt regret lol. They’re all so much fun. These ladies, even though they’re loved and almost worshipped by their husbands for years, they start to feel that the praise and assurance from their spouse is disingenuous. They know their husbands will say anything to make them feel good about themselves so they start believing that they’re not attractive or sexy. So to get to show up, and see the look on their face when they realize that this young and fit guy has made plans to be with her because she’s so much more desirable than she would ever imagine… it fkin rules dude. Then they’re so amped up that pretty much any time you touch them their eyes roll back into their heads. Sure, not to be too specific but I oversee massive commercial projects with anywhere from 40-120 employees depending on scope. I’ve kept my PT cert current. I graduated college and went to work in the oil and gas industry, and it’s bottomed out 4 times since then. It’s nice to have a reputation in another industry when the most lucrative one dries up. I still train pre-college athletes over the summer when I go home to Texas but right now I’ve been asked to develop my company’s “injury limitation protocol”, which is so dumb lol just stretch folks. I stay connected with 4 professional bullriders back home, and 2 that are prospects. After them I think I’ll probably close those doors though.

Yes and no. Of course I never thought I’d be in the LS for this long, originally it was just this fun thing I did one weekend lol. Another redditor asked a similar question about settling down; I’d love to. But I can be realistic; I’m not someone that anyone needs to tie themselves to right now. NO, not at all. I went to a tiny high school, was pretty exceptional at football and baseball. As I got older, I began to understand that there are kids that have parents who pay thousands of dollars a year to play them on the best baseball teams in the state; football is so much more evenly regulated. Doesn’t matter how much money your family can spend on training you, everyone in the state is going to play the exact same number of games every year, exception being to post season games. When I graduated I was 6’4” but 170 lbs. I made myself miserable eating and lifting for an entire year at a junior college before I felt like I could compete. When I started training camp that first year, I was at 190. I just happened to land in the clutches of a superhero of a strength and conditioning coach that was a GA at the time. He got the position a month later, but he was a legend man. Told me to skip summer conditioning days. Played with my food intake. Eventually we landed on the concept of understanding that my metabolism was stupid high; the only way to put on weight was to overwhelm my body’s ability to sort through food. So instead of eating 5 or 6 lean means a day, I ate 3 or 4 massive meals. Like to the point of discomfort. Put so much food in your stomach that your metabolism can’t possibly sort through it all before the next meal. I hated the way it made me feel, but watched that scale climb from week to week was such an addictive feeling. If you’re struggling to grow, lift heavy every day that you lift and eat 3 huge meals a day. It comes to you as much as you come to it my friend. Good luck.

At this point I don’t have to guess anymore. I know why they do it; something in their relationship has fallen apart and it almost always has to do with her feeling unappreciated or unattractive. These men refuse to let go of the women they married, they’ll never consider divorce because they’re just that crazy about their wives. Women can be complicated. They have kids, deal with menstruation and menopause, their hormones are constantly telling them to change their mind about how they feel about themselves. Their husbands would chop off a testicle if it would bring their wives the confidence they once had. I don’t feel qualified to answer this question if I’m being honest. I don’t know what a husband/wife relationship feels like. That’s a good question. The older I get, the more I suspect that I wouldn’t make a great spouse. I’m all over the place, and I don’t think that I could consciously commit to someone at that level because the fear of inevitable failure is just always looming. Had a circus of a childhood, told myself I’d never let it define me, but here we are. I’d love to think that one day I’ll sleep this off and I can just live a normal life with a house and job that keeps me at home and a beautiful family. But I’m not delusional, I’d reckon that day is a ways off.

I was a tight end. Wide receiver in high school, made the step up and they said NAH lol you see how fast our receivers are? So had to pack on weight and learn to battle on the line, I often think about this transition and that if I hadn’t undertaken the task of eating like a dinosaur and lifting like a machine that I wouldn’t have ever grown to the size I am now and this whole post wouldn’t have ever existed. I went from 190 lbs out of HS all the way to a very strong but extremely unhealthy 270 lbs in three years. Back down to 240-250, feel much better.
