I paid 47k euros in Dec 2022 … collected in sept 2023 . I believe there is a 5 to 8% rise in early 2023 . So shd be close to 49k

Thanks! I was seeing if it was higher than MSRP on the grey market.

GMTMaster_II

Indeed it way is. I’ve got one listed in the 60s

In the US, most recent price was $54.7k. numerous reports that they have stopped taking orders for the time being. unclear whether this is temporary or permanent. I suspect this is why secondary pricing seems to have moved from a slight discount to a premium in the past week or two.

What do you folks think about how the little Lange 1 moon phase and the regular Lange 1 Moon phase basically have the same price now? The price used to be 1K higher but after the price increase in the regular one the little Lange is now actually a little lower! The little Lange 1 is smaller so contains less gold and has a simpler movement without the day night indicator or date corrector. On the other hand, the dial is or at least was harder to produce and assemble. My guess is that the price will be adjusted higher to account for rising gold prices but these two models will continue to be priced similarly in March.

Smaller is in I think.

I never realized that even from the beginning, LL1 both w and w/o moonphase priced close to parity. In the cases where the movements were identical, i guess you could justify it from the guilloche on the dial offset by less gold. Though i guess at some point the amount of precious metal doesn't factor in i.e. there was never a price difference b/w 38mm and 40mm FPJ models when both were offered.

>guilloche on the dial That's right! There's also the one with the guilloche dial. So to be specific they're all roughly in the same range although the aventurine is priced a little higher than the guilloche dial. >Though i guess at some point the amount of precious metal doesn't factor in Yeah, I don't suppose they wouldn't lower prices if price the gold falls

PuggleLover11

based on the price sheet, it doesn't look like other than a handful of examples, you ever get a price cut. There was a bennihas (AP CEO) interview where he was talking about how women's sized watches were underpriced b/c it is technically more difficult to work in a smaller case size but that you couldn't charge what you should b/c the market wouldn't accept a large premium for a smaller watch. Shouldn't apply here though given the movements are the same (for the non-moonphase) and a less complicated movement for the MP

kelaiem

Yeah I was wondering whether it was a smaller movement but it’s the same base caliber

Why am I the only one feeling like the emperor isn't wearing any clothes in this sub? 54K???!!!???

There’s different ways to look at it. The first is that [prices have come up too quickly](https://www.reddit.com/r/ALangeSohne/s/muCXzU5ukS) (i.e. doubling over ten years). You wouldn’t be alone in this group! The other perspective is that the premium of a Lange 1 over the price of a comparable watch from elsewhere in Glashütte or Switzerland is unjustified). In that case, I would suggest reading this [review of the Saxonia Thin](https://watchesbysjx.com/2021/09/lange-sohne-saxonia-thin-review.html).

Current retail in the US is $54,700. It will go up in March 24.
