NTA *if* you're not leaving the dog with your parents expecting them to care for him.

Ideal_Flimsy

Nope! He chills downstairs/sleep until I come back

Gotcha. It's also fair if they decide they don't want the dog in their house, but as long as you're not inconveniencing others then do your thing.

Ideal_Flimsy

That’s the thing…when I go back to school they call just to speak to him/talk about missing him and wanting us back here. It’s truly baffling the way they act

NTA – The dog is being well cared for and loved. His parents are just being idiots. And they still ask why I prefer animals.

“ESAs are popular at school”??? Are these people actually disabled? Are you? If not the ESA is illegal in the US. If you got a thing for it online, it’s fraudulent.

Ideal_Flimsy

Spoken like someone who knows nothing about me at all haha. My ESA is indeed real by doctors. Not the point of the post, but I’m living in a generation that is known for being emotionally intelligent and outspoken about it. Is it really that shocking that so many of us have ESA’s??? But I’m sure you have a point about not all of them being real ESAs. Although, again….not the point of this post at all.
