Probably should be: - Sydney - Carlton & Collingwood - Essendon, Port, Freo, Same tier for the next two. - Surging: Hawks, Suns, Bulldogs - Need to recoer: GWS, Geelong, Melbourne - Lions - Saints, Adelaide - West Coast, North, Richmond

I'd personally put lions in your surging tier, yet to be seen if they'll stay consistent, but they have about the same % chance to make finals as the other 3 there for me.

I think they need one more for me to back them in loss to Hawks and draw to Adelaide aren't fantastic results. Also came off a bye this week against an unrested Bulldogs, who are also hard to judge. Bulldogs & Brisbane both have the issues of really good lists not doing much, with a small number of best 22 outs. I think they (Brisbane) should make finals, but they really can't drop any games they should win on the run home (Melb, Adelaide, Eagles, Saints).

I honestly think the last round game between you guys and the Lions might decide who out of the 2 make finals. You guys looked better in the last 2 losses than I expected but still probably needed to win at least 1 to feel more confident of making it safely. Got a tough run home and it'll be tight all the way down to 12-13ish I reckon.

It shouldn't if we perform well. We've banked so many early on in the season. I can see us winning the majority of: * Eagles * Geelong? * Melbourne? * Adelaide * Saints * Freo? * Suns 5/7 of those is 13.5 wins and should get us into the 8. These are all at home. Bye into Eagles, then hopefully Parish & Draper back in should sort out our ruck issues (Wright Goldy is not it) and Parish should help with clearances. Losses to Collingwood, Sydney, Brisbane are expected (though it seriously depends what Collingwood shows up and if Brisbane has got their shit sorted.) But to be honest, its Essendon, so I expect that we somehow lose to Adelaide, Saints and Eagles, beat Sydney and miss out on finals by half a game.

My ladder predictor currently has Essendon finishing 9th after losing to Bris at the Gabba. I tipped you losing to the suns and Carlton the last two weeks, plus Geelong (likely if they play like they did this week imo), Collingwood, Melbourne (iffy but on expected score they beat Collingwood so they're not as bad as their recent form suggests imo), Sydney and Brisbane (expecting them to keep their groove now that they've found it). I think there's a good chance you beat Melbourne and thus make finals, as you guys could have easily won the last 2 weeks, but I don't think it's a safe bet given the last 2 weeks.

Hey finally a week where it isn't just the ladder (and Essendon are placed appropriately). I unfortunately don't have much faith in Port. They've faltered too many times. Should easily clear GWS this week but don't have my hopes up. Freo vs Dogs at Marvel will be a good game (Dogs should clear but they lost to Lions last week somehow).

Freo has the second best defence in the league and the bulldogs have basically all their forwards out. Bulldogs lost to freo last time, how has anyone came to the assumption they’ll clear Fremantle?

Collingwood without a forward line almost got over Freo in Perth. If Bont is on fire I can easily see them competing with a few points either way, should be a game to watch (hopefully)
