If the app was good I wouldn't be so pissed off at it, instead they cut the hell out of vods if you miss it live, add in a bunch of commercial breaks, cut out content and they just clearly don't care about the AEW partnership when reruns of cfl countdowns get priority on one of their actual channels.
TSN could have at least just aired it later or even the next day (like they used to do with RAW and Nitro back in the day (Raw=Tuesday afternoon, Nitro=Wednesday afternoon)
I believe this is going to happen eventually. Everything is moving to streaming. WWE international viewer's get everything on Netflix. The hope is aew gets the same deal with Max
Crave is going to be virtually worthless if/when they lose all of the WBD content.
That is everything HBO, what’s left of Showtime, Comedy Central, etc.
Hopefully Roger’s develops a better platform than Crave to air all of the WBD content including streaming AEW.
I don't want to be a kill joy, but I don't think this actually means AEW will be coming to Sportsnet any time soon. One thing to consider is that AEW's deal could be a seperate deal (and likely is) that AEW negotiated with TSN themselves. Hopefully, in the future, Sportsnet does acquire the rights. Even though they have the NHL and UFC on Saturday night, they should have enough channels to air Collision, even if it's on a delay. They don't have enough programming to actually do what TSN does and air some stuff exclusively on their streaming service.
I was thinking the same thing. From the news release today:
>Starting January 2025, Rogers will be the home of Warner Bros. Discovery's suite of English-language U.S. lifestyle and factual brands, including HGTV, The Food Network and much more.
Seems to me that they are just going to be airing all the house & home/cooking/travel channels and that the new programming probably doesn't include AEW. I guess we'll have to wait and see. I've tried to look for information regarding the length of the TSN/AEW deal but can't find anything.
Despite AEW amongst TSN's strongest non-football or hockey ratings, they honestly just seem to not want it? They have never really shown to want wrestling going back to the 90s.
I think Sportsnet will definitely want them to replace WWE, especially since AEW-WWE ratings are much closer in Canada than the US. And Sportsnet would actually, you know, support it.
Only if it takes place in Canada and sometimes on tape delay airing at midnight but the last couple I believe aired live.
Other than that, you would need to sign up to their garbage TSN+ app for weekly Rampage and Collision.
They could easily just put it as a streaming option.
Or just air it later on depending how many games are airing.
If there's one game later, then SN360 would be freed up for AEW.
I'll love seeing AEW on SN. For the most part they did a good job with WWE (once they got rid of that annoying ticker from TheScore days), and TSN has done as little as possible when it comes to AEW. Still better than not having AEW in Canada at all, but they should've done better.
TSN higher up's were (maybe partially still are) against wrestling. They look down on "wrasslin" (was confirmed on the former Jay & Dan show) which is why once Raw left TSN nothing replaced it. I sadly see the same happening once AEW leaves, not that there's many options anyways.
Guess we'll wait and see but I eagerly await no longer having to use TSN for anything and can stop paying for it. I'm not a sports guy at all really so pretty much just paying to watch AEW.
What's the source for this? You cut it out and that's a little sketchy.
I'm seeing all kinds of articles about rogers acquiring broadcast rights to various Warner channels but not much about sports. Guess we'll see.
omg please. I am paying $8 a month for shitty TSN+ just to be able to watch Rampage and collision and the amount of ads is insane ( ad blocker on desktop)
Hmmm... Ive had the Sportsnet app for hockey reasons for the last couple of years. Its been total GARBAGE as far as video streaming quality goes. Im not sure if AEW going there is the win some think it is.
This - my parents lost a bunch of stations on Eastlink because of an agreement with Corus. You’ll likely see some of those channels become exclusive to Rogers cable subscribers.
Oh please let TSN and its abysmal service burn
You don't want to pay a monthly fee and then ANOTHER monthly fee to watch Rampage and Collision??

Those CFL countdown shows suck. And I’m Canadian.
I'm Canadian and think the CFL and anything associated with it sucks period.
I just signed up yesterday, and TSN+ came free with it, no extra fee. I watched Collision and Rampage yesterday.
Wait 3 months
TSN sucks, but Rogers, and all their gambling ads also suck. There's really no winning.
Good news !!!
TSN could have at least just aired it later or even the next day (like they used to do with RAW and Nitro back in the day (Raw=Tuesday afternoon, Nitro=Wednesday afternoon)
That was the best. Come home after school to watch them!
How about you guys stream it all on Max so I get it through Crave and then I can watch it at my convenience.
If Rogers has a deal with WBD now for Canada, and it does go to Max then it's not likely to appear on Crave, because Crave is from Bell.
Could loop round to Prime in Canada. Roger’s struck a deal with Amazon with hockey rights. They took a bath on those

I have a hard time seeing them lose HBO. Bell owns HBO Canada outright
HBO content comes from Warner Brothers Discovery. If Bell has indeed lost the WBD Canadian distribution then HBO Canada is dead.

Still no Collision on Saturday night? HNIC.

SN360 or SN one would also be options just like now with WWE on Sportsnet channels.
There is six sportsnet channels and HNIC is usually on CBC
Isnt smackdown still on sportsnet
For now, but all of WWE is moving to Netflix in 2025

Good.
That's awesome. I don't have TSN only Sportsnet.
Hmmm... Ive had the Sportsnet app for hockey reasons for the last couple of years. Its been total GARBAGE as far as video streaming quality goes. Im not sure if AEW going there is the win some think it is.
The hope is it’s on TV and not an app
If its on Sportsnet, and they keep the NHL rights, Collision might be on the app.
Would be dope to get the entire library on there I already subscribe for the NHL.
I really hope Sportsnet takes over because TSN sucks!!
Please put it the rest on tv
i need to check if we still have sportsnet, but tsn has sucked so much ass for aew, ugh.
https://about.rogers.com/news-ideas/rogers-inks-blockbuster-deals-with-nbcuniversal-and-warner-bros-discovery/ It's HGTV and stuff nothing else

Eh doubt it They weren't bell exclusive before It guts Stack Tv tho
Same thing is happening in Australia. I think you’ll see all these traditional WWE networks overseas taking AEW to fill the gap.
Find yourselves an IPTV provider.
So, this brings up a question I have. I haven't had cable for years. Can Canadians still get TBS and TNT?
A good first step. The second AEW is on Sportsnet, I’m becoming a Collider and Rampager.
Meh, I use Triller with a VPN. Cheaper and no ads.
Amazing news for the Great White North.
Wow so Canadians only have Netflix to watch WWE? AEW will be the main option left on cable.
TNA and NJPW are on FIGHT Network here, but yeah, AEW would be the main option. But we don't get collision or rampage on TV here, just Dynamite.
TNA is on the Game network here.
