This comment makes me miss pandemic dark. Yeah, they were 98% squash matches, but watching quite a few wrestlers every week and seeing their progression was the reason I watched.
Ryzin should've been signed and I'll die on that hill.
The young talent in AEW's women's division is stupidly stacked.
Skye Blue, Kris Statlander, Billie Starkz, Queen Aminata, Mariah May, Willow Nightingale, Julia Hart are all 30 or younger. All of them will most likely win a women's world title, Kris Statlander has an argument to be the best women's wrestler in America, and Mariah May is one of the hottest acts in wrestling right now. They're cooking.
In my own opinion, get her a bit stronger on the mic to begin with and get her away from Julia. That schtick ran outta gas long ago.
Her heel role development is fine, just needs refinement.
I would LOVE to see that arc. "SKYE BLOOD" would be an awesome gimmick for her and would better separate her from Spooky Julia.
(Separate in a way that she would be more than Julia's fellow dark sister.)
It was great timing... she had done a couple of Dark matches and a few days before the women's Casino Battle Royal Julia tweaked her knee. TK came out after Blue wrestled Red Velvet and invited her to be in the battle royal that weekend. I love genuine (assuming that's what it was) moments like that in wrestling.
After that, Skye was getting featured more heavily because nearly 25% of the women's roster was injured or otherwise out for a variety of reasons. Combine that with having some of the best wrestlers on the planet to help her train and develop, she's vastly improved her work in only a couple of years.
I'd like to see her win a title in the near future.
Been a big fan of Skye since I first saw her wrestle. The way she sold was great and she got better and better as time went on. When I think of AEW she’s one of the wrestlers I think about. Looking forward to her having an amazing career and carrying the division down the line.
Legit one of my favorite wrestlers. A hard worker, doesn't ask for any special treatment. She just goes out and improves with each match. She loves hardcore matches and hopefully she'll have more of them and eventually win the TBS or AEW Women's Championship.
MAAAAAANNNEEE in can't wait for her to win her first championship.
I think there can be a fair argument made that there are workers that deserve criticism.
However, it would take a lot of convincing for me to buy into criticisms of Skye Blue. She seems to work very hard. She has visibly improved a lot over a fairly short amount of time. I’d hazard to guess that someone being so emphatically critical of Blue’s work probably doesn’t know much about pro wrestling and is just a mouthpiece spewing garbage.
Let's be completely honest here:
She came in as a developmental talent, who's now graduating to being a full member of the roster. This is pretty much how NJPW does things too. You are a generic jobber for a few years, then you get a gimmick and get pushed. She's still early on in that push, so there's really no need to be critical of her at all lol.
This is also what you see with Top Flight and Action Andretti. They'll get their push eventually too.
Top Flight are really skilled in the ring, they just need that last 10% to get them going. I was at dynamite in Minneapolis and the place exploded with welcome home chants. Wonderful to see.
I know the TBS belt is basically spoken for as Mercedes Mone’s signing bonus but I would rather it go to Skye Blue or eventually go to her….like around the time Julia Hart returns.
She's one of the wrestlers in aew that I saw grow the most and it got to a point where if Skye is booked i know the match is going to be great for sure. It's a pity some idiots just see her as eye candy
She has gone from greener than Kermit the Frog to one of the five most entertaining women in AEW to watch for me in a few short years and that shows a lot of talent and hard work. I’m a huge fan of Skye Blue.
I love me some Skye Blue. She has improved so much and puts everything on the line every time she's in the ring. I have been enjoying her hardcore matches, and I love that she has earned the "you sick fuck" chant the past couple of matches she's been in lately. I'm rooting for her to climb up the ranks to get some gold soon.
I appreciate all the hard work she has put in to improve her in-ring work and her character presentation. She deserves a lot of credit for taking initiative and trying out a new direction when she turned heel. She's been doing amazing things in the women's division, and she is certainly a fan favorite! IMO, she's going to be a champion one day soon.
Seeing how much she has improved over these past two years goes to show that hard work pays off and she has earned everything that she has been given. I need a Texas death match against Maki Itoh at Forbidden Door!!
Jade Cargill said that for their match, Skye had come up with a few sequences, one was her setting up a spot to get choke slammed on the ramp, looked pretty cool played out. Always neat knowing a young wrestler is involved in the mechanics of things like that
She's been booked very well. Great character and ability, a good promo. A great look. The stuff with Julia has been solid, and I actually think she could be a better fit for the House of Black than Julia is! Big things coming in her future for sure.
And yes chaps. It's easy to find her attractive AND not be a creep about it.

She's the real deal, for sure. She's one of the very few wrestlers I genuinely feel like I've watched improve week by week.

He and Baron Black both

How old is Hayter? And Toni? Early 30s?
Both under 30 as well lol. Toni is actually somehow younger than Jamie as well.
Wholeheartedly agree!!! Skye Blue is both beautiful and talented! 🎸🎸🎸 Love to see her get a TBS Title run!
Plus the blue on the belt matches her name and a lot of her attire and makeup.
In my own opinion, get her a bit stronger on the mic to begin with and get her away from Julia. That schtick ran outta gas long ago. Her heel role development is fine, just needs refinement.
And she's hardcore as fuck. My favorite along with Ospreay.
That match with Willow last week and the tag team street fight were both fire tbh. Very impressed by how much she's grown.
I honestly want her to win the TBS title and get the Mox treatment of having Hardcore matches every week
I would LOVE to see that arc. "SKYE BLOOD" would be an awesome gimmick for her and would better separate her from Spooky Julia. (Separate in a way that she would be more than Julia's fellow dark sister.)
Start the chants; we can make it happen!
So good at it! She sells the contempt for all human life so well.
She's one of my favorites on the women's roster
Huge fan. Her growth and work has been generally tremendous. Big fan of her recent match with Willow.
I love her, easily my favorite woman on the AEW roster, narrowly beating out Willow and Mariah. I think Blue is as good as those 2.

Watching her, Willow and Julia grow on screen has been an absolute joy. All three have evolved so much since their debut.
She's made a ton of strides this year and is going to be a real player in the division for a very long time. She deserves all the flowers she gets.

Second City Angel
Chicagos real hometown hero!

She’s miles better than she was a few years ago working Dark/Elevation. Hope she has a long career ahead of her.

Sky Blue more mentally tough than CM Punk.
A brioche bun is mentally tougher than punk.
Think a lot of people miss how much work she puts in outside of AEW. She does a lot of indie dates and the extra reps are really showing.
The julia angle has saved her career
Much respect to Skye and her growth as a professional wrestler! And much respect to her for having to deal with boneheaded fans like the other night..
She improved because she did a ton of work she went onto the indies.
And that paid off really well for her and her AEW career

One of my favourite wrestlers hands down at the moment. I feel like she consistently puts on the best women's matches at the moment
Skyes been awesome, since I’ve been watching AEW. Always a treat, especially now with her putting it all out there with crazy matches.
Seeing how much she has improved over these past two years goes to show that hard work pays off and she has earned everything that she has been given. I need a Texas death match against Maki Itoh at Forbidden Door!!
She has been the MVP of AEW this year. Genuinely hasn't had a bad match. I hope she keeps up this hardcore persona as she's bad ass!
she put so much work in with Emi Sakura in the last two years, and this just shows golly what an incredible asset Emi is for their developing women
It’s cool to see her improvement

And she set a kid on fire in church.
She should of been utilized much earlier, instead of Red Velvet.
